QUOTE (Nikoli)
FAA was a department under the US, not necessarily existing in CAS or UCAS.

True but there must be a department with responsibility for air traffic control in any country, a very confusing job indeed with all the extraterritorial airspace in major city’s

There is a nasty thought. Corp doesn’t like other corp so they buy land under there approach flight path declare it there own private airspace and deny transit rights to any craft not filling a approved flight plan. The charge to file a flight plan is 10,000nuyen and dose not garrotte approval.

QUOTE (Fortune)
Is a lone person big enough to show up on radar?

A good radar can detect a child's kite in some circumstances. The question should be: will a low-flying person show up on radars in Seattle?

Yes, it will, but not always and not on all radars. Some things will make it difficult/impossible to track a levitating person, especially if you're using a ground-based radar. Buildings, terrain, other flying objects...

So a flying person should follow some of the rules for those limited to walking: don't stand out, use cover whenever available, keep in (radar) shadow, increase your Signature rating...

That kind of thing would end up in the corporate court, though, especially if the corps involved were big enough to have extranational status. It'd be far cheaper, more deniable, etc. to hire runners to shoot down certain specific aircraft via sacrificial programmed drone.
