Unless I'm off base we need to line out the following dates and prepare a schedule of our activities.

1) Tuesday/Wednesday: Keep tabs on ork woman so that we know where the rendezvous will be.
- Who is she?
- Where does she live?
2) Wednesday 10pm - Target meets with Ork woman
- Where will the meet be?
- What type of counter surveillance will there be?
3) ____________: Record and eaves drop on Starbuck's meet.
- Interrogate Starbuck's video security to determine last date/time of meet(s).
- Extrapolate next meet date/time.
- What type of counter surveillance will there be?
4) ____________: Fund raiser. Opportunity to link target to Ares
- What is the date?
- How will we get onsite?
- How will we identify the Ares agent(s)?
- What type of counter surveillance will there be?
- What type of security will there be?

The last one is the most risk with the least pay off to us and I think should be our item of last resort.
If you guys agree, then let's move forward with this list.

In 6 months RL we have advanced less than 24hrs in game. I think that we should be able to advance pretty rapidly over the rest of the year if we drive towards our objectives..

Ok. Next steps.

I'm thinking we are still leaning heavy on Jazz.
1) Is she able to discern a vehicle that the woman got into? What about a log file with her SIN or at least her com's serial id? Otherwise I'm a little stumped about how to identify her.
2) She needs to hack the Starbucks and get the video, them write a script to compare a campaign photo or two of our target to customers to determine when he comes for his little payment.

If you have any ideas about what the rest of us can do while Jazz is doing her magic I'm all ears... Otherwise we are all left feet till she collects us some details to start working from..

@Thanee - What do you think? Jazz gonna try any of those?

Once we have more information I will volunteer to follow the Ork woman around. Dean isn't really set up to do a lot of high tech covert shadowing but he's okay with following a person around. He's also go the advantage of astral sight and the use of watchers.

Obviously we'll need a start point but I think that would be his best use. He's probably suited for stand alone shadowing since he's a decent fighter and has magical abilities.

For what it's worth.

I think that is a great plan.
Jazz keeping us current on the Matrix, Dean follow the woman, Book can be ready to astrally project and provide additional spirit support while Dean serves as driver and uses his drone for recon as required.

Dalton is just going online to buy a few pieces of software, all legal, common-use programs: Edit 3, Command 3, Browse 3, Analyze 3, Encrypt 3, Scan 3 (total cost 900 nuyen)

Alright, here are some rolls for probing the target via VR.

First, the Reality Filter (I really need to upgrade my commlink, so I don't need this anymore)... 3 hits

Quick question.

Dean is still in the van right? would he remember that almost every modern system in the world logs commlink connections, basically all that spam AR advertising has to log onto your communication network and all of them record a 'hit' which might carry identification information. At least that is what the SR4 book suggests. That's why runners constantly 'Spoof' their commlink trails. Lone Star accesses that to follow data trails to get the 'bad guys', can't we do the same thing?

It takes three hours but you are in. Upon entering the AR domain, you are virtually assaulted by the smell of coffee. The layout looks similar to every Starbucks you have ever seen. You seem to be in the managers office. A young man at the register looks your way momentarily and then goes back to taking orders.

I assume that running a PAN in hidden mode [BBB p217] negates 99% of that, leaving only the unique serial [BBB pg216] (unless spoofed) with the local telecommunications grid (LTG) authority. Then via the use of 'anonymizer nodes', 'encrypted re-routing services' and the like [BBB pg214] the user's ID and true matrix destinations are not associated to the serial ID they log on with, nor logged by the aforementioned LTG.
That said, the biggest risk I see is running your com in modes other than hidden as then elements of your ID are associated to a com serial # and logged by whatever PANs and nodes you access (or access you).

There are apartment buildings around the area and some neighborhood stores. A small bank is on the corner with a Krispe Kreme down the street. There is a Starbucks halfway down the block.
