@All: Who's Negotiating? Goat? Okay, see if we can get Mr. J. up to 20K and permission to loot the AA.
Jonhson wants it gone, we can prolly get a fair bit of junk out of the place. Sell the junk we steal, find the ownership of the phyiscal stuff and sell that. Heck find a way into the property ownership and we can rake some money outta that too.

Steal anything that isn't nail down and anything I can pry up isn't nailed down. It certainly does have an appeal. Getting the money to 20k would be nice, but the loot is were you make the big money.
We will need to liquidate it, but we certainly could make quiet a large amount. We could also raid the personal accounts of the people we plan on killing if it can be done discretely.

Mister Juan:
[ Spoiler ]
Male dancer: His ID is Vinnie Miles, Firewall rating of 2, and running Analyze and a tracking IC called "Fetch!" (on standby).
Female Dancer: Her ID is Jennifer Kim.
Troll girl: Her ID is Arla Cyfers, Firewall rating of 1, and running Analyze and the "Fetch" program, also on standby.
Shorter Johnson: His ID is Michael Martinez, Firewall rating of 3, and is running an Analyze program, as well as a customized Analyze and attack program simply called "Sacrifice." Fortunately, it hasn't been triggered.
Taller Johnson: His ID is Alfredo Pollo, supervisor.
Incidentally, "Fetch" is an IC program, off the shelf, that works as a Trace.
So far, you have not been detected.
And, now, I think the Johnsons have been fighting long enough.

I need to know if this is a reasonable fee for what these guys are asking for in your gameworld.
My Shadowrun sense is tingling and shouting warnings like 'low pay' and 'personally involved Johnson,' but I don't know if Goat (or the rest of the team) would be thinking that.
Also, I'll get you a negotiate roll when I get to my dice.

Fair question.
It is pretty low, though not outrageously low. They did raise their offer a little bit, so now, at 20k, it's only a little low.
Perhaps Meriss and Toras have the right idea, even though it does mean more work for me.

Updated List of programs running on Christophe's link
-Analyze 5
-Stealth 4
-Active IC 3
-Spoof 5
-Exploit 5
Got a quick question, by Analyzing each commlink, does Christophe know their "commcodes", as in, he could "look them up" later. You'll have to understand that his is my very first hacker PC, and most GMs seem to see the matrix a little differently.
So, Christophe, being the good little impulsive hacker that he is isn't going to actually wait for a go code from Goat. He's going to try to slice into the male dancer's commlink.
Hacking (5) + Exploit (5) + Codesligner (Exploit, 2) = 12 dices
Threshold = Firewall = 2
Rolls: 3,3,5,2,5,6,6,3,3,4,2,6 = 5 hits
Time to hack in: 1 IP

Mr Juan
[ Spoiler ]
Assuming that they don't leave the Hong Kong area, you should be able to look them up later; that is because Eastern Tiger is the corp that handles the HK matrix, while NeoNET handles most of the world.
As for splicing into the male dancer's comm, no problems so far. In fact, you are in a lot faster than it normally would have taken you; the firewall just let you slide on by.

[ Spoiler ]
First order of business, Christophe is going to set his Analyze software on autoscan to alert him of any changes in the node. He will then lookup for any more info on the guy; any mentions of where he works, who he is, the files stored on his commlink, his address book, etc...
He will also call up the list of what the guy has subscribed to his commlink.

[ Spoiler ]
Vinnie works at the downtown DocWagon vehicle warehouse as a janitor. Tonight was his night off.
Not a lot of files on his commlink; just a layout of the facility, bank account with HK$317, and a few numbers.
Numbers of the DocWagon facility, Jennifer Kim, "Dr. Feelrealgood", Oliver's Super Sandwiches (local sub fast food place; wow, this guy eats a lot of crap), and Mom.
Wait, there's one more number, added tonight. It's to "$$$ Maria" and it was called almost 20 minutes ago.
Mister Juan
Oct 30 2007, 08:58 PM
@Jeremiah:
[ Spoiler ]
For Vinnie's commlink: Christophe is going to erase all traces of what he has done before disconnecting from the node.
-Locating security/activity logs and purging them
data search (4) + browse (5) = 1,4,4,2,5,5,5,4,6 = 4 hits
-Purging Logs
computer (4) + edit (5) = 1,5,3,5,1,4,5,5,2 = 4 hits
-Logging off from node
He will then turn his attention to the woman's commlink.
Since I don't know what's he firewall rating is, I just gave you a bunch of rolls. It totals 8 hits over 3 rolls. If that doesn't do it, Christophe will back off.
-Hacking on the fly
hacking (5) + exploit (5) + Codeslinger (2) = 4,4,5,2,6,3,2,3,4,5,2,3 = 3 hits
hacking (5) + exploit (5) + Codeslinger (2) = 3,4,6,2,4,3,2,1,4,2,3,6 = 2 hits
hacking (5) + exploit (5) + Codeslinger (2) = 2,3,1,2,1,3,5,1,5,1,2,5 = 3 hits
If by now, Christophe hasn't broken into into the commlink, he might change his approach.
If he gets inside without setting of any alarms, he'll follow the same procedure he did with the other dancer's commlink.

You're in. Unlike her friend's commlink, which was hellaeasy to get into, this was only very easy.
Doesn't seem to be anything special; just a book with a work number for Spatula City, where she works as an assistant manager. Also, her bank account has a little more money in it, HK$909, and she has access to Spatula City's purchase account on Fridays.
Her phone directory has a folder marked "FWB" and 5 names, Vinnie being one of them.
Hopefully, everyone had a good Halloween.

Me. The tags thing was a bit a slang that I've used in SR before. Reference id'ed targets, drawn partly from clothing tags and partly from toe tags.
They aren't targets, they aren't enemies (maybe), they are just faces and names. Hence tags.

Scope would have been paying at least some attention to the dancers - but now that the phone call was pointed out by a team member, she's going to use her select sound filter/spacial recognizer and try to listen in to what he is saying - if it is subvocced then she has the cyber-ear upgrade that increases the range of frequency she can hear as well (I forget what it is called and don't have her character sheet handy at the moment).

Don't use the others.
As for legwork, I can imagine that we are going to start by pulling up some basic corporate history, hitting the local governmental planning sites for building plans and the other sorts of things that they would have to keep in public record.
Most of this is going to come from our Matrix based associate. Fortunately, if I remember things correctly, this level of corporation doesn't have the (I'm my own nation) level pull of the bigger Mega's. Add to that China is less likely to simply roll over for the Corp, but rather force a fairly elaborate system of bribes to manage and get their peace.
They may have been communist, but Greed is alive and well and so is Confucious.
Beyond that, some meat space/astral surveys would probably help as well, give us a good idea of what kinds of defenses they would be using. Also, checking what security firm they use and what level of response we can expect is also a good idea.
From there we can form some responses.

Yes, Scope grabbed up the credsticks.. If she pulls a powder this may become a run just about tracking her down...

As Thanksgiving week is winding down, I imagine we all should be about ready to get back into the game.

I've added Toras to IM (but have not had time when he is online to strike up a conversation yet). Any chance of getting the GM on IM as well?

A conversation in IM runs much faster than via PM or OOC post for working out a details sometimes. (If not, we can continue via OOC.)

7 Agi + 4 Palming = 11 dice
11d6.vs(5)-> [2,5,5,4,3,2,5,5,3,2,1] = (4)
Disguise Check - trying to look like just your average construction supervisor
5 Int + 4 Disguise = 9 dice

From what it appears, nobody is following you, and you are very thorough about these things. As for the credstick, it is certified with HK$6000 and a text note on it. Assuming you open it, here's what it says:
The place is a processing plant for Delicioso Good, a local fast food chain specializing in Mexican food. The plant is in Kwun Tong, on the southeastern side, just outside Lam Tin. The plant processes most of the food for the restaurants, and ships it out to them.
Delicioso Good is a subsidiary of Cafe de Coral, a AA megacorp based in Hong Kong. As such, they cannot be touched by the law, which is why you are needed. To avenge Juana Lopart, who died from an industrial accident. She was just 23, and these three people caused the conditions that caused it.
The three people are Gustavo Rodriguez, the shift manager. Only he was allowed to make emergency calls, and he waited until it was too late.
The plant manager, Bai Ming, kept stonewalling when we tried to find out what really happened.
The Human Resources manager, Azel Yi Man, actually had the audacity to say it was her fault and denied insurance benefits.
