I would point out that you have a LOT of agility based skills and it may be worth playing with the numbers a little - if you were to drop all of the skills by 1, and raise agility by 1, you'd have the same net levels but it would be easier to raise them later with Karma. Even if it costs a little more at chargen it might be worth it later, as it lets you buy a brand new skill and still be very good with it straight away.

For my own knife-fighter/inflitrator build it was even worth taking the exceptional attribute extra to reduce the "max-out" penalty - mainly to fit inside the max attribute spend rather than reduce overall cost, but still useful.

On the "agility is king" basis, it might even be worth going with an elf rather than an ork...

Another minor point for Dodge is, when you have a Move-By-Wire System, you get a bonus to Dodge. smile.gif

But a point for gym dodge is that a Synthacardium is dirt cheap for a bonus to the Athletics skill group smile.gif

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't help when dodging, though. wink.gif

Sure it does. Athletics group includes Gymnastics, so the Synthacardium works with gym dodge.

Alright, so it seems synthcardium does help with gym dodge, so I think ultimately I'm just going to go with gym dodging for now. I'm sure I'll buy standard dodge later, when I might get into more vehicle combats, and so on, but for the moment, gym dodge will suit me just fine in a pinch. I took Mayhem's idea into consideration, as well, and I think it's pretty good. Drop some of my agility skills down by a point, and increase my agility by a point. I won't decrease all of them, but enough to free up some extra points. I've already decided to take the ork metatype. It suits my needs for the physical base, and saves me too many points to just ignore. I thought about elf, but in the end, I think that the trade off of BPs versus benefits don't add up. At least not for this character. If I was playing someone who relied more (read: ANY) on his charisma, I might consider it. But I'm really curious why the elf costs so much. It seems like Ork gets more bonuses for less BP. Sure they take a couple of hits, and Logic actually does hurt me slightly. I'm considering getting exceptional attribute for it just to protect my logic based skills.

As for 'wares... I think I am going to ditch the cybereyes in favor of goggles. I'm not so sure about the ears, though. Seems like none of the ear gear can sustain enough enhancements to make up for my cyberears. I think the most capacity you can get from earbuds or headphones or anything is 3. I can fit a lot into my cyberears, and with the money I think I can save on the cybereyes I can afford even alphawaring the ears for that extra little save on Essence. What are your guys thoughts?

Also, as an aside, I am considering tweaking my gear and skimming down a few things. I am taking a ramped up commlink (i think it's just integral to my character. I planned on him having topline commlink from the get go), but I might cut a few other bits. What would you suggest? I can easily drop the bike, but then... well, I'd be cabbin' it around town, and that could be embarassing. Also, I thought of something ridiculous, in that with my metatype being ork, and my body being increased, I could wear the form-fitting body armor under my chameleon suit, and then throw on the secure tech pppsystem armor, without encurring penalties to my agility and reaction. I think. Anyone wanna help clarify the armor stacking rules for me? I know it's no encumbrance if it's like... the highest rating isn't more than 2x your body, right?

Anyway, tomorrow night I'll probably post the revised character stats in full so everyone can view. I think it might help us all to get a look at what still needs work and what might not. Good thing I'm still a week from the game starting. LOL

And I know I've said it a million times, but seriously, thanks again everyone. It means a lot to me!

It helps with Gymnastics, yes.

It does not help with Full Defense (Gymnastic Dodge).

The problem is, it gives bonus dice to Athletics Tests, but when you use Full Defense (Gymnastic Dodge), you do not make an Athletics (or Gymnastics) Test.

Alright, guys, here's where I'm at with this so far. Hit me back with opinions/thoughts, since I'm still tweaking a few things here and there, yet.

Metatype: Ork (20 BP)

Qualities
Human Looking (5BP)
Ambidextrous (5BP)
Restricted Gear X 3 (15 BP)
Records On File (+10 BP)
In Debt (+25 BP)
(net +10 BP)

Attributes
Body 5 (10 BP)
Agility 5 (40 BP)
Reaction 4 (30 BP)
Strength 3 (0 BP)
Charisma 1 (0BP)
Intuition 4 (30 BP)
Logic 4 (30 BP)
Willpower 3 (20 BP)
(160 BP Spent)

Edge 2 (10 BP)

Blades (swords) 4 (+2) (18 BP)
Unarmed 2 (8 BP)
Pistols (Might switch for Automatics) 3 (12 BP)
Athletics Skill Group 3 (30 BP)
Infiltration (Urban) 4 (+2) (18 BP)
Shadowing 3 (12 BP)
Etiquette 2 (8 BP)
Computer 2 (8 BP)
Electronic Warfare 2 (8 BP)
Hardware 3 (12 BP)
Locksmith 2 (8 BP)
Pilot Ground Vehicle 2 (8 BP)
(150 BP Spent)

Resources 275,000 (50 BP spent, plus 25,000 In Debt)

So far, this leaves me (if my calculator is correct) 20 BP.

I might add some skill points in, but I am going to try to alot some BP for contacts, still. Just not sure how much. My attributes are still somewhat maleable, as I'm working on what I can alter, either raise, or lower. Any suggestions?
As for Gear, I'm taking Move-By-Wire 2, and Cyberears 3 with a full suite, pretty much. I'm taking muscle toner 4, and muscle augmentation 2. I'm debatin on armor. I could possibly go with a military grade armor, and spent insane amounts of cash on adding the ruthenium polymer and thermal damping. I could forgo cybereyes in favor of adding visual enhancements to the helmet. Or I could just go with the chameleon suit/form-fitting under armor/PPP System combo. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of either choice, other than the fact that the military armor is rated F and I'd be in big doodoo if I ever got caught in it? (That being said, I'd be spec'ing out the armor so that I would never be seen in it to begin with.)

Also still debating that synthcardium. My GM says he'd allow it to work with gym dodge. Just not sure if I feel compelled enough to take it.
