Yeah, I gotta go with pure roleplaying aspects of geasa rather than minmaxing the limits out of it. I had the first gaes requested in my campaign happen yesterday, after almost a year of game time - I asked what the guy wanted (after jokingly suggested "must be on fire") and he said "Must be in the presence of fire". I took it - so he's going to carry around a zippo. Of course, if he's in the dark and needs a fire he could always use that flamethrower spell...which opens him up to ease of targetting...but it's all roleplaying - he's a pyromaniac at heart (Yes, Halloweener, likes filming nice explosions, that sort of thing).

Edit: Oh Lina, don't think I didn't catch that remark of yours. vegm.gif

You know... people should have realised that I already know their arguement. I am only challenging them to give me a concrete thoroughly rules lawyered argument for their case. So far, their argument boils downs to so much GM fiat (for now).

Never underestimate the power of a knee-jerk reaction, toturi. smile.gif Your examples are so far over the top that people react blindly - just like it's REALLY hard to concentrate on writing stories when you're on fire.

I wish I'd thought of calling myself some sort of zen anti-troll, instead of just admitting I'm an argumentative asshole.
DocMortand
