So, we're paying ten good karma for the team pool, not the 1 KP the Companion details?
HobbeGoblin
May 30 2005, 12:49 AM
yep...it buys you other things also. like a level 3 contact that brokers your deals.
Nikoli
May 30 2005, 01:40 PM
Then I have to completely redesign my character, as I don't have 10 good karma laying about

May 30 2005, 03:04 PM
Ok, character turned in boss, lemme know that you got it please?
![smile.gif](http://forums.dumpshock.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif)
BTW, I haven't done my contacts yet, wanted to wait for others to comment on what contacts they have so we don't neccesarily overlap.... So, anyone have contacts?

Well, David/Sledge/Andy, or whatever he's calling himself these days, has a few:
Larry Lindstrom, Seattle. Arch: Armorer level 1
Male elf, mid-40s. Has hooked Andy up for weapons and ammo. Larry usually knows what weapons are moving and where, sometimes for whom.
Big Mike Harmon, Seattle. Arch: Bartender level 1
Troll male, mid-30s, one cyber arm. Big Mike owns the 'Hot LZ', a bar with a military theme. Mike doesn't talk much about his own past, or how he lost his natural arm.
Danny 'Spaceman' Smith, Big Pine Key, Cribbean L. Arch: Decker level 3
Human male, mid-30s. Major stockholder in Keys Security - Danny lost a leg during a firefight, David carried him to the extraction site and covered him until the choppers got there. Although wheelchair-bound, Danny is a very good decker, and if a team needs a contract decker David would recommend him.
Mary Wilson, Seattle. Arch: Fixer level 1
Elf female, early 50s. Recommended by Big Mike, Mary has been a good source for David, although he is at a disadvantage due to her charm and good looks. Still, if it can be had she can likely get it.
Hope it helps...

Since we're sharing contacts, here's mine
Peggy Sue lvl 2 - Montgomery - mechanic/rigger, childhood friend from home
Billy Vanier lvl 1 - New Orleans - specialist in getting papers, real and forged
Sarge lvl 1 (Connected 2) - Dallas - deals in military surplus (including things they didn't even know were surplus)
Sean McComber lvl 1 - Dallas - friend from Sons of the Alamo, previously a combat decker, but got too badly shot up to go into the field anymore.
Chris Morgan lvl 1 - Mobile - offers passenger cruises, but can also be chartered to carry less than legal cargo.
Seems we're covered on the decking front.
Kiedo
May 31 2005, 07:08 PM
Nadja Raickov lv. 1 - arms dealer
Nicolas Flamel lv. 1 - Nick was a member of the first team Specter joined, and had a habit of trying to find him during combat. He thought it was a game of hide and go seek when specter would disapear into the brush and would take time out between killing the enemy to try and track down Specter.
General Martin Delino lv.2 - marine general, relation unknown.
Reign Maker
May 31 2005, 08:10 PM
Level 2 -Jimmy - Friend in High Places, Connected - McDonnell Douglas Helicopter designer (Seattle)
Level 2-Night Burner- Tbird rigger/smuggler (Denver)
Level 1-Tim Running Deer - Sioux government official (Cheyenne)
Level 1-Don Brather-Desert Wars Reporter (some where in the deserts)

I just got into town day before yesterday and I'm still settling in over here. On the plus side, my honey needs the computer for a few hours tonight so I'll have time to finish

make that five, my trigger finger is itching to drop so worthy adversaries, though they'd have to be pretty freaking good to see a ruthenium cloaked stealth dice rolling sharpshooter perched in a tree 500 meters away...
But then nobody ever said snipers were honorable.
Has thanatos sent you his sheet? I've been bugging him to do it, and I'm pretty sure it's done, but it never hurts to ask.

really? how so?
Kiedo
Jun 10 2005, 04:41 AM
check my run, Ashes to Ashes, the format is almost indentical, it was more of a joke than an insinuation though...
HA, I have fixed my double post by adding some flavor to my character, it's nothing important, just a short inner monologue reflecting on his life up to this point.
Nikoli
Jun 10 2005, 04:23 PM
Crap, I didn't kill another one did I?
I seem to be a jinx with DS games
Kiedo
Jun 11 2005, 04:24 AM
You know I was thinking the same thing, not about you killing it, but that it's wierd having close to 12 people involved that only three or four have posted yet.
This run can't die, I've got things planned, I was really getting into the groove of my character.

Jun 11 2005, 08:38 AM
Well, it's the weekend now, and there's quite a few people on the boards who don't have quite as much internet access then.
Kiedo
Jun 11 2005, 09:25 AM
Yeah I guess that's true, I mean the IC has only been up for what three days now, that's not nearly enough time for Hobbes to get 12 different people into gear. Hell, I have a hard time getting six people to get inline in that amount of time, unless of course I happened to have recruited a bunch of people who all the do is computer work and can check the forum regularly.

HobbeGoblin, is Myr looking for the old boot camp chorus of "Sir, yes sir!"?

No more of a "hey you guys time to respond if you want to play" type thing...i just did it in character.
Nikoli
Jun 16 2005, 11:57 AM
FYI folks, I have begin serious packing with the move in under 10 days now. This means RPG books will be packed (although I'm not taping the box unless I have to. So I may be slow to respond with anything that requires me to look it up in a book. That will be the case for the next week and a half or so.
HobbeGoblin
Jun 16 2005, 10:47 PM
I'm in the process of retooling this as I've had so many no shows. For the few that responded it's way too hard
Thomas
Jun 16 2005, 11:38 PM
Are you planning on starting over or just modifying the run?
HobbeGoblin
Jun 17 2005, 04:08 PM
At this point just modify it
Kiedo
Jun 19 2005, 06:04 AM
So where exactly are we, in terms of getting on with the run? I'm very glad you decided not to start over, I have some, IMHO, good character development thus far, and am working hard for that gritty, Clint Eastwood, feeling in my posts.
BTW, Thanatos, according to him, PMed you requesting your email, so he could send you his character. He says he has gotten no response from you, and I was kind of holding off giving your email to him, since I wasn't quiet sure if you were deliberately ignoring him. I realized rereading some of the recruitment and OOC pages that you selected Thanos, I just took it as you mispelling his name, but then I searched for Thanos and got a hit not exact but a hit none the less (I think it was Thanos007, but don't quote me on that), I don't remember him submitting a character but I could be mistaken. PM me or something, so we can iron out what's going down.
HobbeGoblin
Jun 19 2005, 09:10 PM
I thougfht i sent it to him, if you still have mine you can give it to him. As afar as how its going...i have to retool as i put everyones specialty in for them to play. I'm finding it alittle dificult...i do playtest these things before posting for bugs and i've found alot of them.
Thomas
Jun 19 2005, 10:36 PM
Thank you. Your efforts are appreciated - a good game is worth the wait.
Kiedo
Jun 20 2005, 09:54 AM
if you need some help, with your playtesting you've got my email... Though that might spoil your well laid plans.
But yes I can echo Thomas' thanks, this seems to be fun, and the other run you've done that I've been a part of, despite the fact that it's dead now, was fun while it lasted. Or am I too quick to distribute toe tags, I hope that's the case.

@ HobbeGoblin
Maybe one or more of the players you do have could handle more than one character - could save you some major retooling.
Just a thought.
HobbeGoblin
Jun 20 2005, 08:57 PM
Excellent idea...I design the origional campaign to be skill heavy...ie give everyone a job and they'd get to use it.
Kiedo
Jun 21 2005, 03:21 AM
Or you can give us a little more karma and an assignment, for an extra position we need to work towards, with that karma. That would keep the confusion down on posting, because if we all handled two character that would get really weird.
HobbeGoblin
Jun 22 2005, 08:59 PM
ok...30 extra kharma and you work between yourselves the added roles youre taking on, I'll also fill in some shooter spots with npc's.

hmm... *wonders if she could manage a decent attack helicopter for 150k or less* Gotta cover the eyes in the sky part...I had been relying on Reign Maker for that. No clue where he's vanished to. Was talking to him fairly regularly until the recruitment phase ended.
