For the record, I never said she liked dragons, only that they fascinated her. nyahnyah.gif

Wow. If he's doing these over his lunch breaks...

Thank you, Kenshi!
ShadowDragon8685
Yeah. These pictures do, in fact, rock the house.
Kenshi
First of all, sorry about not posting this weekend. I caught the flu this weekend and became intimately aquainted with my toilet. Not pretty...

Secondly, thanks to everyone for their compliments. I really appreciate it.

Thirdly, and most importantly, here is sketch #3...

nick012000's ork/streetsam/cat/... thing... KATKLAW.

Sorry, nick012000, I didn't have any visual references for his Steyr AUG-CSL weapon system...

Nice work,

Can't wait to see Leela

One more thing to add is she's "terminally cute".

Just for future reference (if anyone else is getting one, or you just want to add to your virtual arsenal for random future sketches/drawings/whatever), just do a quick google search for "steyr assault rifle" and you'll find an awful lot of shots of them pretty easily. Much like several other of their firearms, the SR version is generally acknowledged as just being an SR-modern-day variation of this real-life gun.

They're the very futuristic, sort of "swept back" looking assault rifles, very Buck Rogers looking and very distinctive.

(can't see if this link works here or not, my connection at work is iffy, but if the page works you'll see what I mean about this gun kind of..."sticking out.")

Awesome. As for the Steyr... Well, here's a Steyr AUG, but it doesn't matter too much, because the Steyr's mostly a holdover gun until he gets his hands on his custom sniper rifle. wink.gif

Oh, and do you mind if I append that picture to my character sheet?
Lenice Hawk
Glad your feeling better. Being bent over the toilet is not something I'd wish on anyone. Though, it does help keep up your motivation for keeping the thing clean.

We need to appeal to FASFA (or whoever it is now) to let you do the artwork. No more 70's porn mustaches! And orcs that don't look like they were pulled from Legend of Zelda.

Anywho, don't mistake our excitement for impatience. Do what you can, when you can. grinbig.gif
ElFenrir
Yeah, I gotta say these pics do kick some ass! And thanx again for takin the time out for them. And i have also met my toilet too many times to count(but sometimes that's my own fault...)...but yeah, glad yer feeling better.
ShadowDragon8685
BTW, Kenshi.

I know the backlog's already stacked up pretty high, but I hope it's not too late to get in on the fun. Sympathies on the flu - been battling the bug all weekend, myself.

Spanner

A hobgoblin rigger. 2m tall, approx 94kg. Tightly muscled on a long, spare frame,
greenish skin the color and texture of some exotic, high-grain leather, a sharklike
grin, and close-set eyes that glow a crystalline amber-gold. Though unlikely to win
any beauty contests, he looks like he just might place respectably in a land-speed
trial. His wavy black hair is currently styled in a disheveled, contemporary cut
that's proven particularly resistant to 'helmet head.' The back of his neck sports
a metallic tattoo of a stylized gear/skull with wrench and screwdriver crossbones.
Two gold-edged jacks form a pair of glittering eyes for this high-tech Jolly Rodger.

His current favorite outfit consists of a bulky, armored motorcycle jacket with a
large stainless steel ring attached to the outside of each shoulder. A pair of
fingerless gloves with similar rings attached to the back of the hands. A black
t-shirt screenprinted with a silver "mudflap girl". A pair of synthleather pants
that look to be composed of a bunch of straps and buckles with a pair of chrome-
finish chains criss-crossing at the waist. A pair of tall, padded motorcycle boots.
He often sports a pair of narrow-lensed eyeglasses and carries his grandpa's
Colt AMT revolver (blued steel with a cherrywood grip) in a shoulder rig.

He owns a number of drones, but he most often calls on a pair of MTC roto-drones
that he calls "Thing One" and "Thing Two". T1 is packing a Valiant LMG, T2 carries
two akimbo Enfield AS-7's with the drum mod. Both are mostly red with a white rotor
assembly and a blue sensor dome on top.

It's Tuesday! And to celebrate, I'm posting TWO sketches!

First, here is Sicarius' russian wolf shaman, Gregori.

Then, there's mmu1's spider drone-totting dwarf, Blake.

Enjoy!
ShadowDragon8685
That means I'm up next! Yaay!
mmu1
Cool. smile.gif I was hoping you'd put in the spider drone - and it really captures the character's look well. We're playing the game right now (online), so I had the chance to show it off to the other players. Thanks!

Well, he'd been avenged - and as soon as we actually have some time to sit down and relax, he'll be up and running again.

...a few final comments about Leela since she is about third in line now.

She has no really visible cyber. Most of her implants are internal headware & her skillwires (no cyber eyes or ears). She does have an induction datajack & 3 slot chipjack but these are usually concealed by her hair.

The rest of her implants are all internal bioware (Articulation, Synaptic Acc, Synthcardium etc).

As a runner I actually started her with a Charisma of 6 (needed it for her Performance skill since we were using the framework from Shadowbeat). As I was playing her I had her raise it to 7 (yep, spent a whole 21 GK), then to 8 before she became an NPC (using up 24 of her remaining unspent Karma, the rest went into her performance specialisation of Piano bringing it to 11).

She also has the freindly Face edge.

I forgot to mention that she also wears a locket necklace (this contains images of her father, mother & older brother who died in the Serb attack on Zagreb in 2051).

If done in her shadowrunner mode, she frequently wears an old 1990s Croatian army helmet with a faded insignia. (yes she does have the "Distinctive Style" flaw.)

I hope you're feeling better, Kenshi. The flu is nothing to mess around with. Take care of yourself!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the UCAS & CAS (I doubt that the NAN celebrates it...) and as a gift, here is sketch #2...

Gerald Fitzgerald's chopshop wiz, Fitz.

Damn, that's one nice drawing.

I'm thinking about making these into a collection. Maybe it could be integrated into a chargen program?
caramel frappuccino
Eh, considering that these were drawn for specific people, that wouldn't be cool at all.
Sicarius
Very sweet!

Mucho Gracias
hyzmarca
Is it just me or does Fitz look a lot like Harry Potter?

Not a critique, just an observation.
PiXeL01
The picture actually reminds me of one from Cyberpunk main book.

But still I bow down and worship skills at the drawing board. His sketches own majorly and it is trully a wonderful thing he is doing for all of us
Sicarius
agreed, especially those of who took multiple points of the Incompetence (Art) flaw.
ShadowDragon8685
Like me. I took that flaw. nyahnyah.gif

Heheh. Hmmmmm.
Lenice Hawk
Kenshi has fufilled:
Oracle with his Big Bad Orc,
Gerald Fitzgerald's Fitz, who by the way, looks groovy.
Katklaw the Furry Orc
Gregiro the Vory Shaman..
Blake, mmu1's dwarven street sammi.

Still to Go:
Skate, my decker/sammi/wire-(fu)girl.
Straight Razor's SURGEd monkey-man.
Leela the child demolitions prodigy and music virtuoso.
[ Spoiler ]

Prowler the not-Azzie Orc with a heart of gold. (That hopefully won't get cut out of his chest any time soon.)
Greycloud, male (teh gasp!) elf shaman of Thunderbird from the Souix tribe who's come back from Amazonia looking like a modern-day british explorer.
Gamble, the day-glo gun-bunny boi.
And finally, Stian, the Norwegian Adept.
Kada Sanchez, the native american femme fatale known as Inquisitor.
Core Dump's pick-one-of-three character listing.
Valentinew's Zip, a full blooded Cherokee cyberless technomancer Cult of the Dragon wannabe.
Lenice Hawk's Kat, a not bombshell, not-dog female stealth-oriented PhysAd with no other description.
Gothic Rose’s Spite-male caucasian human ghoul,

If you're willing to do more requests.

looking at a guy with obvious replacments for eyes, ears, and whole body (all four limbs, and torso) Major scaring in the face, think a piece of the lip gone or split open on the bottom, pearly whites behing the gums.

The limbs should look very streamlined though, but with a few wires coming from the arms, and jacks in the legs.

His hair will be in patches that have been shaven but have grown out a little.

The clothing can be anything, but it should be able to show that his limbs are obvious limb replacments. (and torso) and some obvious bulk under the torso.

Not really related, this is Skate demonstrating that Neo may be God, but he ain't smart. You can outwit an Agent just by climbing up a pipe.

While this may bite me in the butt later on, I have to say it is -so- painful to witness the woeful AI of MxO. If SRO is ever released in that condition, I'll Johnson out a wetwork mission on myself.
Sandoval Smith
Hey Kenshi, good to see you doing the sketches again. I've kept a hold onto the one you did of Sebastian St. John for the last art attack. If you're still taking requests, it would please me greatly if you'd take the time to sketch Jon Calvin, my last SR3 character.

Jon was my tiger-shapeshifter-face (love those hyphens!). He was from mainland China, looking a bit like Stephen Chow, with a tidier hair cut. Although a rather short man, he possessed, above all else, dignity and presence (like that's not difficult to draw biggrin.gif ). Of course, his physical appearance betrayed his 'shifter heritage to a certain degree (he had narrow, catlike eyes, with pupils that looked slightly feline) Even in desperate situations, he always had a perpetually amused look on his face. He was also a very snazzy dresser, prefering dark, semi-formal clothing. He never carried weapons openly, instead relying on his proficiency in quick talking, or hand to hand combat (aided, when needed, with shock gloves) when ever possible.

I managed to find some pictures that might better explain his look.
Here's a picture of Stephen Chow. Stephen Chow
And here's a picture of Mr. Incredible, wearing an outfit pretty close to what Jon wore. Snappy suit, nice shirt, no tie.Mr. Incredible

As I was writing this, I got a great mental image of Jon striding forward, dressed to kill, a smug smile on his face as he pulls on a shock glove. If that helps at all, super.
Critias
I think you guys scared him off.
Feshy
Uh Oh... I knew I should have bathed before posting!
.
.
.
.
just kidding.

(I read earlier he does these sketches on his lunch break. That means no new sketches during the weekend. At least, I hope that's the case, and he's not sick again frown.gif Once with the flu is enough for anyone.)
Mensche
I have sketches of my character, but no access to a scanner :{

GOMI (a.k.a NEZUMI online)
combat decker
ork ghoul
mid twenties (he's not confident of his actual age)
shorter and thinner than average ghoul
squatter lifestyle (REDMOND BARRENS)
distincitive style (ripped armor jacket full of bulletholes, bandana across the face, army surplus hat, vending machine clothes)

carries around a katana and a AK-97 under his coat, a duffle bag with spare clips and a couple grenades, and a cyberdeck. skilled in pentjak silat. knows the streets better than he knows himself.

kicks hoop. dont ever underestimate him.
SpasticTeapot
I'd love to see a pic of my new (and yet unused) PC, Franz Schmidt. He's in the 4e NPC Wiki, and I've got an entire thread about his archetype ("High-Profile Assassin".)
He's essentially your average stockbroker. Thin, human, roughly 37-ish, and in decent shape. Has a datajack behind his left ear. Black hair, brown eyes, roughly 6'1". (I'll leave the details of his hair up to you.) He likes to wear button-down shirts, slacks, and blazers, often with a trenchcoat. In addition, he also wears a pair of wire-framed glasses. (Examples:
http://www.starcostumes.com/prodimages/R427.jpg
http://tw.rhino3d.com/gallery/shade/images...asses_wire.jpg)

He is, however, more than a little nuts. He has no qualms whatsoever about killing nearly anyone if it would make sense for him to do, and when he's not trying to appear normal, his face twists up into a horrible mask of insanity. I'll leave the details to you; you're obviously a better artist than I am.

And after all, how often do you get to draw a psychopathic wall-street employee?
Kenshi
No, you guys didn't scare me off (although the response this thread has received is a little scary wink.gif ). And just to show you there's nothing you can do to frighten me off, here is sketch #6...

ShadowDragon8685's deck-carrying raver (who moonlight's as a sammie), Skate.

ShadowDragon8685: I tried several sketches with the fedora, but none of them where turning out very well, and I didn't want to "half-ass" it.

Thanks for being patient, everyone.

EDIT: I'm keeping a running list of all completed sketches on the first post of this thread. Check it out.
ShadowDragon8685
Interesting... but doncha know that dual-wielding in SR3 is close to impossible? nyahnyah.gif

Nice, but that looks like you gave her somebody else's jacket. nice pants, though. ^_^

Hmmmmm. Waist looks a bit pinched, but I guess that could be a trick of the light. (And if someone was shooting at me, I'd probably have better things to think about than her hourglass. nyahnyah.gif )
Critias
Don't worry, Kenshi. ShadowDragon doesn't like it because she's not making out with any innocent, traumatized, girls in that particular shot, not because of any actual stylistic criticisms.
Straight Razor
i like it.
anime / matrix look to her.
I'm getting anxious to see monkey. only thing i'm going to be pickey about is dont make him to animalistic.

Doctor Bull is a Minotaur by birth, a surgeon by education, a street doc by profession, a cyberimplant combat adept by training, and a shadowrunner by necessity.

Exiled from his homeland and wanted by some powerful people he works in a charity clinic in the redmond barrens which provides inexpensive service to the poor and the needy. It stays afloat due to the patronage of gangers who think overpriced cyberweapons are whiz and who need emergency trauma surgery fairly often.
To suppliment the megar income that the clinic recieves Doc also runs the shadows as a cold and surgically calculating killer.

Dressed for work in the clinic, wearing a wite lab coat, a stethoscope, and perscription reading glasses, Doc appears completely unthreatening and somewhat nerdy despite his size and his horns.

In the heat of combat he extends his spurs and his second set of horns and his eyes glow red with the magic of his adept vision enhancments. He appears to be a hulking monstrosity that can tear most people limb from limb. When he reveals the shotgun barrel sticking out of his right tricep he becomes even more frightening.
Kenshi
he he...

ShadowDragon8685: Thanks for the comments. To be honest, I had a little trouble with Skate. I went for a more dramatic look and pose. I know that "John Woo Style" shooting is near impossible in SR, but I thought it just looked cool.

Everyone Else: Don't worry. I haven't survived this long as an artist by taking every negative comment to heart. Especially by people who don't have the chops to draw themselves. If ShadowDragon8685 doesn't like what I did... I don't really care. I'm doing this for myself as much as anyone else...

Straight Razor: MonkeyMan is done. I just have to wait until I get home to scan and post it.

See you then...
Liper
Thanks for your work kenshi, the stuff really looks great and very clean and proffesional.
Aku
Kenshi, im not attacking you, i think they look great, shadow just as an amusing (to me) habbit of being touchier than a flamethrower...
Straight Razor
yea! <(")> (>"<) (>")> <("<) ^(")^

Just a random note. when you are getting something of an artistic nature commissioned, give a rough outline of what you want. Let them fill in the middle.

this goes for more than just classical forms of art, sculpture, and craftsman trades. It holds true to half art, half science things like programing, some engineering, and cosmetic / re-constructive surgery.

after all, it's your dream they are shoving in to a clock. give them working room.
Kenshi
No worries, Aku. I think ShadowDragon was being a bit... touchy. wink.gif

NOTICE

I am not taking anymore submissions until I catch up with the 16+ sketches that have already been posted. Don't worry. I'll still do sketches after that. It's just getting a little overwhelming trying to keep up with all of these and tring the get the new Neo-Anarchist's Guide to Everythin Else off the ground. I'll let eveyone know when they can start posting new submissions again.

Thanks.
