Hmm, would it take a roll to see what that node is?
Rokur
Mar 6 2006, 10:37 PM
Sorry... server went down as soon as I typed this the first time.
Anticipated Rolls:
Kno: Drugs - Int + skill = 2+3 = 5
2,3,6,6,6 - Three hits!
Con: Default Cha = 2-1 = 1
2 - 0 hits
Don't know if any situational modifiers apply.... but so what, he's a bad liar.

Ginger--Sorry, your assensing test slid under my radar.
It is a force 8 ward. Tracking its creator pulls you in several directions.
[ Spoiler ]
If you get 1 hit on Magic+Magic Theory it will tell you that a group probably created the ward.
GingerKid
Mar 8 2006, 04:20 PM
I took a "Magic Background" knowlegde skill which I meant to be a history of magic type skill. I also took a "Magic" knowledge skill which is supposed to be a 'how magic works' skill, which I think is the same as magic theory. If it is:
Magic + Magic theory = 9 dice
1,6,5,6,5,3,3,4,6 -> 5 successes 1 one
if not I default on magic = 5 dice
1,6,5,6,5 -> 4 successes 1 one
Talk about overkill.
I will spend 4 more hours tracking the creators of the ward. Following the strands going from left to right. If a strand leads me outside of Seatle I will stop and go back to start on the next strand.
Assensing + Intuition = 8 dice (1 hour interval)
1,4,4,5,3,2,4,3 -> 1 successes 1 ones
1,4,6,5,2,4,1,4 -> 2 successes 2 ones
4,1,5,2,4,3,1,3 -> 1 successes 2 ones
4,3,1,3,3,6,5,4 -> 2 successes 1 ones
*edit - Whoops, I thought that I could project for (Magic x 2) hours but rereading the rules I can only project for (Magic) hours, so nix that last test and I will spend the last hour returning to my body.

Rokur--Just to be sure, you realize the area is fairly deserted and in the middle of a rural community.
Rokur
Mar 28 2006, 08:43 PM
Well, hmmm didn't realize it was rural.. thought it was a cityish area, cuz of the descriptions of looping around it and whatnot. Is there a likely place to park his bike where noone would notice it? I'll edit my post depending upon the answer to that. Remember Krum's not the smartest... he just tries real hard.

Hunter is taking a ride around the drop. Getting as close to the actual drop as possible and then spiraling out to five blocks, just to get a good over-view of the area.
Perception rolls if needed:
3, 4, 4, 5, 10 = 2 successes
1,1,3,4,10 = 1 success
1,1,3,4,5 = 1 succes
wow
can you glitch on a perception test?
BishopMcQ

Sorry... knew I forgot something haha...
defaulting to intuition:
5 = 1hit
PS I was re-reviewing the rules, and was wondering if i can change Krum a bit... basically wanna get rid of dodge, since I didn't realize that melee defense could use unarmed combat. I even put the specialty in melee, which is double retarded.

What skill would I need to use to get past the alarms and hack the rig?
BishopMcQ
Apr 5 2006, 03:54 AM
Rokur--Keep Krum as is for this run. Afterwards, if you'd like to re-build him before the next run that's fine.
Crystal--there are several ways to steal a car...from a purely wireless setup it'd be as follows:
First you have to find the signal--Matrix Perception test.
Then Hacking on the Fly--Hack+Exploit
Once you're inside the host, actions become based on what you want to do.

BishopMcQ

Rokur-Noted.
Crystal--The system is launching a counter offensive after your 3rd pass. I will bump the attack tonight when I get home from work. Please roll initiative.

Warrior--Feel free to roll initiative as well so that you can take actions while Keivn fights with the system.

New to cyber combat, any way to form a shield against these?
Rokur
Apr 14 2006, 11:32 AM
shields!? what do you mean?
Cybercombat is just like regular combat but differrent rolls (i.e. attacks are opposed hacking +ATTACK prog. vs Firewall+response.)
And then damage resistance comes from rolling system + armor...
warrior_allanon
Apr 15 2006, 12:04 AM
Initiative (8 Dice)

Crystal--You have initiative. You can go full defense if you don't want to attack the IC. You can make an attack, or a non-combat matrix action if you would rather. A final solution to leaving the problem is to Jack out.
Was the initiative score you used for AR or VR? Are you Hot or Cold?
