I'm still here. Didn't post since I had posted just before Rokur, and I was out driving around 5300 miles in 9 days...
My main concern is the current run may be very tough to do without JuJu

JuJu?
I thought Des was a shaman?

Technically true, but practically worthless as a Shaman.

I have two rules questions. If I have a spell active on me when I try to pass through a ward. Will the spell stop? Also will the creators of the ward be alerted that something magically active tried to go through their ward?

if the spell is active, yes the ward will trip and kill the spell. or at least thats how i read the rules

Ginger--it depends on how many net hits you get after the opposed test.
Page 186 is fairly clear, for each net hit you have you can bring through 1 friend, spirit, active foci, sustained spell or other astral form.
Per page 185--any attempt to break through the barrier is immediately felt by the creator. There are no rules for stealthing through a barrier yet, though I'd presume that they will be released in Street Magic and involve Masking as the rules for SR3 were released in MitS and required said technique.
Warrior--The spell is only killed if it is forced into conflict with the ward (your meat body attempts to pass through the ward with the active spell) and it fails the opposed test (again p. 186, second paragraph). Otherwise it is carried through by additional successes as mentioned above to Ginger. If the projecting mage or astral body goes through the ward but does not allocate successes to the sustained spell, then it would be brought into conflict with the Ward and go through the same opposed test as mentioned earlier.

ok, so it's been nearly a week without any activity...
Are people waiting on me for something?
Dire, Bearclaw and Gingerkid--It's been several weeks since I've seen a post...
At this point I'm trying to decide if there is enough motivation to keep this run going or if I should just put it out of our collective misery and focus my energies on something else.

I've been waiting since the first scene for someone to kill Des off... but it hasn't happened yet.

A jammer would still be good for our cause to prevent cell phone use and such, even if we can find a way to cut all the hard-lines (which may be tough if they're all underground and in the house walls).

they still have to have a junction box, Phone electrical and alarm wires predominantly come a single point at the back of the building or through a sewer access, with as remote as this building is it will be a wall access.
