"I shall wait here... watch the area through my drones and look over Firmpoints meat body. And besides, if you need a get away driver I am more use here!"

Firmpoint stares into space a second, then announces "Ok, ready to start the vanishing" he begins by gazing calmly at the first person to be concealed. in an instant, they disappear from view.
Turning his eyes toward the second person, they too disappear, with very little effort showing on Firmpoint's face.

"Poof! That's two of you, now for the third..."

Firmpoint bites a bit on his bottom lip and seems to be exerting significant effort to, but loses his focus to distraction at the last second, and though the spell takes hold, it is easily seen through.
"Bah, I can do better than that. lets try this again..."
so once again, he begins to work the magic with his mind folding it around the target, losing concentration to the other burdens already being sustained. There is a slight change of expression, and Firmpoint's face looks less like he's struggling with a heavy load, and more like he's a marathon runner in his stride; the effort is still there, but it seems to be more practiced and controlled. Locking the 2 spells he's sustaining into pre-prepared mental loops he frees up a bit more concentration to layer the mana just right, until suddenly the third teammate disappears.
Cracking his knuckles as he speaks, and taking a quick breath, he doesn't look at all dazed by the ordeal of the castings.
"There we go. no metahuman will be able to see you now without magic or ultrasound, and only the most sophisticated of drone sensor arrays will see you. but you'll still make noise, so it's up to you to move silently." He shifts into astral perception so he can keep an eye on them, and after he finishes talking, close observers will notice that he occasionally does get distracted keeping order to the things in his head.

Mirage says, "I'm impressed. If you get into any astral trouble, don't worry about dropping my invisibility, I'll be using my ruthenium and thermal masking anyway."

With that Mirage raises her coat's hood and activates it's stealth systems.

Todd grins as they dissapear. "Man, that is so wiz! I never get over seeing the mojo worked. Anyways, I'm gunna log back in now, then I'll open a comm call to Mirage so we can stay in contact."

Todd's eyes glaze over and his body slumps as he goes back online. A moment later Mirage get an incomming call.

"Unbelievable Firmpoint, that worked incredibly well." Kim changes to dual perception to watch Mirage as well as the others. "Gimme that.", she says to Jim while taking the tool from him. "Let's go Mirage." Grabbing her arm, Kim walks to the fence and starts cutting.

It takes less than a minute for Kim to open a hole able to pass a (meta)human in the fenceline. The area inbetween the two fences is surfaced in gravel.

over the line to Mirage

"Stop! Don't move to the next fence yet, give me a moemnt."

Todd quickly scans the system to see if there are any pressure plates built into the security system.

Suddenly appearing beside the team as a ghostly figure wearing arcane robes like a wizard from some some fantasy novel, firmpoint says

"Just a friendly reminder, I can't hear the comlinks like this, if you have information you need me to have, someone living has to say it outloud.

as for this minor setback, I have a possible solution, but I'm open to suggestions. sustaining 4 spells at once will get a bit tricky, even for me. but at least this one isn't an illusion."

ooc: btw, is there a line of sight from where these guys are now to the van? just curious.

over the line to Mirage

"Ok, there looks to be some sort of presure plate or something between the two fences, but I don't see anything within the security system. Either it is linked to an external system, or it is linked to a device, like explosives or something. Whatever it is, I can't turn it off, so you'll need to figure out how to get over it."

"It looks like there's some kind of pattern in the gravel, it might be nothing though." Kim starts pointing it out, but lowers her arm again as she considers Mirage can't see her. "What do you think?"

"Sigh. my work is never done. let me get my meat, and I'll take care of this."
Returning to his body, he instructs one watcher to stay right at the spot where they've cut the hole in the fence, so he can use it for placement.
Melding back with his body, which he left seatbelted one of the seats of the van, he looks out whatever window gives him line of sight to the watcher spirit (in astral perception).
as he's casting (for no apparent reason): "hocus pocus, put this in my showcase"
and just like that, a faint blue sheet of force appears a few inches over the ground. taking some kleenex out of his jacket pocket, he discretely dabs at the drop of blood that trickles out of his nose from the strain, but the bleeding stops just as fast as it started. He has one of his watchers manifest physically and orders it to stay put.
"I'm leaving this guy with you. if you need me, send him after me. (to the watcher) You. obey him."
and he leaves his body, floating over to the group again,
"There you go, problem solved. however, all I can do is be a lookout from this point on, once you get out of sight of the van, I can't cast spells for you anymore."
figuring he has about half an hour until his slightly dazed state goes away, he'll be happy for any time he can get, but now that the hole in the fence has been cut, they need to get in and get out fast.

Kim watches the force field forming and wonders if it will hold. She walks over it to the other side, trying not to step on where she thinks something could be buried. "Is it safe to start cutting this fence too?"

over the line to Mirage

"Get your asses over that bridge or whatever the hell it is quickly. I'm spoofing the cameras, but if anyone looks out a window it'll be standing out like a beacon. Once you are over, tell the mojo-man to drop it."

Having sent the Condor up... Ghost watches what he can through the cameras, keeping an eye on whats happening in and around the compond so he can warn everybody of any impending danger, he sits still in the seat of his car and stays ready for anything untoward.

Mirage replaces the double-X rounds in her Manhunter with a clip of capsule rounds, and loads a clip of concussion mini-grenades into her little grenade launcher. She slips the MGL-6 back into it's holster and keeps hold of her pistol.

Mirage moves to the first fence with Kim, and covers her while she cuts through the fence.

After pausing while Firmpoint creates his magical bridge, Mirage dashes across, and crouches at the second fence, covering again while Kim cuts a hole.

Kim cuts through the second fence and walks to the closest personnel entrance. "Let's hope Todd can open this one."

Todd checks the camera's to the area they are about to enter, making sure its safe, then flips the switch on the door, the LED light on the lock going green.

The open door leads to a short, tiled hallway that ends in a T intersection ten meters down. Doors on either side of the hallway are marked with color-coded plastic signs: on the left is the women's locker room, on the right, the men's. The second door on the right appears to be a cleaning closet. The hall is well lit by overhead flourescent lights.

Todd checks the map of the facility and gives Mirage directions on which way to go.

Kim tries to fit the high heels in the pockets of her coat after stepping inside and changing her shoes for Todd's socks.

Mirage takes the lead through the building, cautiously following Todd's directions. Her enhanced senses produce an energy map, superimposed over her orientation system's display, suggesting the most likely locations of the building's other occupants.

According to Todd's map, you have to proceed down the hall and turn right at the junction. Then, turn left after four more meters. The storage room is fifteen meters down, past a pair of clean rooms on the right and a lab space on the left.

Mirage, you hear only the omnipresent hum of the environmental controls although it does sound like someone is listening to the trid down the hallway to the left.

Just to backspace a bit, after the last person stepped off the bridge, and headed towards the compound, I undid my barrier spell. Now we just wait. I'm still watching the place in astral perception, and listening to the radio for any sign of trouble.

Before Mirage can open the door her arm is pulled back by kim. "Men's locker room." Kim whispers in her ear. "Let me check before we catch someone with his pants down..." Kim steps in front of Mirage and puts her arms around her neck "... or was that your intention?"

Kim leaves her body in the hands of Mirage and quickly scans the surrounding rooms.

There is no one in the rooms in your immediate vicinity.

Mirage feels the body that's wrapped around her coming back to life. "Sweet" Kim whispers "You can let go now if you want, we should move on."

"You're just full of surprises," Mirage whispers. "Ok, lets keep moving."

She carefully opens the door and continues following Todds directions.

The team moves down the corridor stealthily, alert for any security personnel. Todd is able to track their movements easily via the security cameras. The chemical storage room is secured with a maglock featuring both a card reader and keypad.

Deep in the electronic heart of the Depot, Todd performs a careful surgery on the massive tome representing the system's security log. With luck, any digital fingerprint left by the team will be excised cleanly. As he completes the task, an unidentified icon swirls into existence in the host.

Hearing a click as the door unlocks, Mirage opens the door and cautiously steps into the storage room, gun at the ready.

Feeling the wind flowing over his wings as he soars high above the compound... Jim watches the security personel for any signs of anthing unusual, watches surrounding roads to make sure nobody is coming near... and generally watches over the team like a god might look down on his people.

Going in behind Mirage, Kim immediately starts to look around for the canisters.

The storage room is dominated by ranks of industrial gray plastic shelving, each packed with carefully labelled white boxes of medical supplies. Along the back wall of the room are separate storage areas for items requiring refridgeration or an inert atmosphere. Armed with the canisters' ID numbers, Kim moves quickly to locate and secure the items. It only takes a couple of minutes to figure out the numbering on the shelves, and shortly thereafterward, to find the two canisters.

Firmpoint has been sitting in the car and decides to take the downtime to clear up a few things. He starts with the astral signature in the area from summoning the watchers and then the one by the fence from the barrier spell (see ooc for rolls).

After that, he resumes watching out the windows, reaches into his jacket to check on the MGL6 he wears in a shoulder holster.
He has his watchers make another round of the complex, looking for anything living or astral in that area.
He's not used to the idea of sitting back while others go in, and his mind is racing over everything that could be happening, and trying to make multiple backup plans for every concievable scenario, he begins looking around the van for any signs of armament, or at least armor.
His starts up in his seat as he mentally kicks himself for not finalizing the plan before letting them go in.
"Just curious, did anyone bother to have a getaway plan? once we get the canisters out, where are we going? are we changing vehicles? do we have a police scanner to know when they report the break in?"
Realizing he may be throwing a wrench in things he quickly adds,
"You guys inside don't worry about it, you just keep your mind on doing what you're doing, we'll get it worked out by the time you get back. I don't want you trying to tell me about your cousin's place and forgetting to wipe fingerprints off a door handle or something."
Turning to Jim and Todd, "Do either of you have a safehouse or will I have to manufacture one? I can do it, if we need it, but would rather have something pre-established."

Jim looks up from his gaze out the window (or at least, thats how it would appear)... "ts ok, Ive know this area fairly well and have my drone up in the sky watching the area. If it would make you feel better I will plan several different escape routes while we wait, Taking into account different things happening... an no, I dont have anywhere we could use."

With that Jim changes his bird in the sky's roll to developing different routes out of the area, such as the ones which will have plenty of side roads and possible escape routes. even ally ways that he could squeeze down!

Kim looks at the canisters and then to Mirage. She sighs, thinking "I guess I really have to carry one now." Picking up the first one it's even heavier than she thought it would be. She carefully places it on the floor, hoping the other one will be a bit lighter.

Mirage picks the canister up off the floor and holds it against her body, wrapping her left arm around it, her bio enhanced muscles tighten, but she holds the heavy canister one armed without much effort. She continues to hold her manhunter with her right hand.

Over the TacComm to Todd and Ghost: "We have the canisters, is the exit route clear?"

Todd scans the cameras, looking over their exit path to make sure they'll have no company.

While not directly on the team's egress path, there are a couple of guards conducting a patrol of that section of the building.

Using the buildings floor plan as a referance, Todd guides Mirage through the building, trying to keep her and Kim as far from the guards as he can.

Despite the additional bulk of the canisters, Mirage and Kim follow Todd's directions like ghosts. The round about path to avoid the guards adds a couple of minutes on to the time spent inside, but both runners eventually end up at the same door they entered through.

Kim puts the canister under her coat to avoid any sharp edges from cutting into her fingers and to see if it will turn invisible too. She follows Mirage around without questioning the detour, but is happy to finally end up at the exit. No way she's going to put on her high heels again now, she'll just have to go shopping with Todd for some new socks.

Watching in astral perception, Firmpoint monitors the team as they step outdoors, when they get up to the fence, he re-creates the barrier long enough to get them across:

See the shadow like figures at the door Jim starts the car and it purrs into life... its highly tuned engine ready for work. Getting onto the radio he puts out a general message to the team..."whoever is gonna be driving the other car, follow me as I have worked out several routes through which to depart!" and he jacks himself in... feeling his heart turn into a humming engine pumping petrol through his body....

After checking with Todd and Ghost that the way is still clear, Mirage sets off towards the hole in the inner fence.

Over the Commlink

"Firmpoint we're going to need another magic bridge."

ooc: see above, I posted in advance since I have this unnatural habit of disappearing for a week at a time and didn't want people waiting on me, but yeah, the bridge went up as soon as you drew near the fence.

"Already on it."

Again, utilizing the faintly glowing barrier, Kim and Mirage traverse the narrow no-man's-land between the fencelines and return to the staging point where the two vehicles are parked.

Back at the car Kim opens the door to let Firmpoint out. "I got shotgun." She realizes that it might have come across a bit inimical, so she quickly adds "I want to put on my shoes again. Could you take this heavy thing from me please? You can drop the invis."

Todd logs out, and quickly goes to work putting the terminal back into the shape he found it in... broken.

He then gives his skateboard a few kicks and heads over to meet up with Mirage. "Nice work. Lets bug, eh?"

He climbs into her car and pulls the door closed.
