Indeed, our team, like, totally SUCKS at transport. And we are not really making enough on this audition run even to buy a lousy Comet. But hey, we made our choices at chargen, and thanks to the efforts Yen is planning, I think we'll be okay. And have fun sort of roughing it while we're at it.

I'd be fine with using my car for low risk stuff but I dont know what kind of steps i should take to make sure it doesnt get traced. I dont want to have to rebuy vehicles with my cash instead of being able to improve my character.
Cover the license plates and tint the windows?? Do cars even have license plates anymore or do they have RFID's or something similar that just transmits info.
I only have ground vehicles 1 also so im no wheelman.

Just so you know...you can still drive with no drive skill. The only time a roll is necessary is if you get into combat, or very rough driving conditions.

Basically, taking 5 hours to register a Fault Sprite (Rating 5).
Rolls:
Resonance(5) + Registering(4) (+2 for Fault Sprites) + Edge(3):
6 6 6 05 05 04 04 03 03 03 01 01 01 01 (5 successes)
re-roll 6's:
6 6 1 (2 successes)
re-roll 6's:
5 4 (1 success)
8 successes on the register roll. I'll need you (Blitz) to roll 10 dice (sprites rating x 2) and let me know how many of my successes are left.

Sep 10 2006, 06:17 AM

I know it's a little silly with being an online format..but PLEASE...if you are going to prespend Edge to reroll 6s, make sure you state that before you show your rolls...
If you use Edge after the fact, say so after your initial roll and before your reroll. That way things make since in my little blue head.

Jack/Spudrock you guys are going crazy with your times.
Jack's post about talking to Die about asking for a ride is @ 22:59 which is almost a whole hour after our meeting ended.
Then Spud @ 22:34 responds to Jack who didnt say anything for another 25 minutes and goes back into the club and finds us at the bar..
And as the meeting ended I did say if anyone needed a ride to wait for me by my car.......
Die and Tad might be in the middle of our meeting with that Maria chick or done with it by 22:34. I was expecting just a nice little tiny chat after the meeting.
One or both of you guys should back edit, If somebody is getting antsy waiting for me to show up we do have comms.

Ok instead of playing 20 questions IC lets get organized.
@Adamu Do you need a ride after the meet with Marie?? If you DONT can i just leave you to do your thing with Marie? (if you dont need a ride give me a response to being asked for a ride or to being asked if its ok if i leave)
I dont know marie from a hole in the wall so all my influence for setting up the private room are gone. My plan was to set it up through Cali, who i thought would be able to do it.
@Spud/Jack start thinking of a reason why you came back into the club looking for a ride cuz i have stated twice that i told you guys to wait by my car. So Die will definately be looking puzzled after you hunt her down and ask her for one.

Die, I think Johnny and I were still figuring out what we were going to do when you asked the question second time. The first time was at Club Underground. We decided we were going to check the place out tonight. But both of us can't ride on my bike so went looking for you by the bar because you had keft our conversation. We have never left the this club we were at our original spot in the club against the wall talking. We are asking you to give us a ride down to the warehouse area tonight and pick us up in the morning.

Adamu/Tad said he wanted to talk to me after the meeting. And apparently you blend in really well with the walls cuz i forgot you were standing there hehe.
Damn Buddha/Shen!! I think he played a trick on us and made you guys invis or something hehe.
Ok lesson learned. Next time i need to be in private i will move my butt instead of trying to move other people's butts.

OOC Roundup
Tad and Die are at the bar, recently joined by Yen and Roc. Shen and Jonathan have gone their separate ways.
Tad is going to wait for the club manager (see IC post), and I think Die is going to drive Yen and Roc on the initial recon. Jack - do not hesitate to contact any of us for anything you need, as you are the guy in charge of infil, and prepping that is our TOP priority now.

Get better. The world isn't going to explode if we wait a few days for a post.
In any case, I don't think there is much information request backlog at this time.
You asked Spud for a gang knowledge test a while back, which he rolled by never got an answer on - unless you PMed him.
As you know from my much earlier IC post, I have already told my mob-connected fixer that I will be in tomorrow looking for info on Caesar, specifically Renton ops. But that's a few posts down the road.
Of course, Yen & co are off to the site, so there will doubtless be an endless stream of Q&A soon enough.
Again, get better. Adam.

Blitz - SR4 legwork seems to be all about rolling for the contact, not having the PC roll etiquette (which makes a lot more sense). But if you want me to roll anything when asking people for info, just let me know, of course.
Question - what is your sourcebook access policy. Now that I just got Runner Havens I see a lot of what you have given us is from there. Wondering if PCs have IC access to the player portions of the books.

Alrighty..let me try and catch up

hate being sick, makes it hard to get back into the swing of things.
Spud...I need to check on something before I give you details on gang activity, but I haven't forgotten bout ya.
Adam...I try and use what I can from the Source Books. The books are generally written with a few paragraphs of basic facts, followed by character driven dialogue expounding on rumors, theories and suppositions. The paragraphs written as fact are mostly reliable but you must have a corresponding knowledge skill in that area to be familiar with it without doing any IC research (though if it's esoteric enough, it may require a roll). The dialogue is exactly how its presented, potentially true, often reliable, but never guaranteed. They way I typically apply that information to character knowledge is that if you have the appropriate skill and your character makes efforts to keep up to date with the rumors of the world (ie read message boards on the net, watches the news, maintain info based contacts etc.) then you can assume that you directly read the character driven reports through one of those sources.
Jack...without going into an indepth analysis of the roadways and buildings in a 10 block radius of your target, go ahead and let me know exactly what you are hoping to find or verify isn't there. The main bits is that the area seems to be easily accessable through a grid of 4 lane roads (2 lanes in each direction), there are no alley ways in this part of town, most blocks are occupied by industrial buildings and parking lots with landscaping consisting of large evergreen trees offering shade.
The freeway onramp is approximately 4 blocks away and another 2 blocks after that on ramp you'll run into the harbor. All intersections in this area are managed with traffic lights, not stop signs.

Alrighty Spud:
The two notable mentions in Tacoma are the Spikes and the Ragers. The Spikes, strickly Troll gange, are bigger fish in the pond but with Lord Targo in prison, they've kinda slacked around the edges. The Ragers are a mix of metahumans that originally came together after the Night of Rage. They control most of the dockside area. They work with the mafia from time to time, but there is no love lost between em.
adamu
Sep 21 2006, 09:56 PM
Okay, I am gonna risk sounding like a big sillyhead here - maybe I just missed something along the way -
But the mob info we have turned up so far talks about how Tacoma is a big organized crime battleground right now. And the gang info is about Tacoma. And there is a harborby the warehouse.
But the Johnson said the target was in Renton. Which is landlocked, even from the lake.
If I am being obstructively nitpicky, let me know and I will shut right up. But I feel like I missed something.
