That reason's name is Orgasm. |
Ritual spellcasting takes things to a whole new level. Who's got the bigger dice and enough friends to sustain 24/7. This kind of ritual can make anyone into an evangelical christian.

Why would it make them want to stop sinning?

Funny, I voted for Summoning for the same reasons.

Odd. I voted Spellcasting for the same reason.
Other magic skills all have their place (That place more frequent for some, than others). But as a rule of thumb, spell casting will be your bread and butter, the vast majority of the time.

Like I said before somewhere. No contest. One thing from the list lets you set things on fire by your will alone. And when you want it. Driving a car through town would never be the same again...

You don't need to sustain it. You save up your karma and quicken it! Heck, it would even be a sort of punishment for an enemy if you were particularly twisted.
I think I actually might just use that in my game! Would make for a fascinating, "cursed" NPC.
-K.
p.s. I'm not sure why this would be a conversion tool for evangelicals. Do they do it instead of baptism or something?

...Counterspelling, most definitely counterspelling
Of course this is from the mundane point of view. Those extra defence dice from your mage buddy are always welcome when the oppos start slinging mana at your sorry butt.
