(EDIT: Sorry for typo in topics title ohplease.gif )

Which graphic is you're all time favorite?
Some cover?
Internal graphic?
I luuve SSC cover.

Try to pick one, please.
ShadowDragon8685
Show them the picture from that SR3 book, I can't remember which, which shows a lesbian elf and a lesbian human making out with their breasts bare.
SL James
State of the Art 2063, page 114.
Kagetenshi
Cannon Companion page 59? wink.gif

There are a lot of good choices, and also a lot of bad ones, but I think I'm going to have to go with the cover of Queen Euphoria.

Nope. Them's two orks.

This is the image from SOTA63

I know. That was my joke proposal for favourite graphic.

Underworld sourcebook picture is pretty great, but I prefer to show them the Vindicator Minigun picture from the old card game. Can't find a copy of the pic other than the thumbnails on Google Image Search, though.

Edit: remembering that I'd just posted in the thread would help cut down on double-posting.

~J
Arethusa
Sprawl Survival Guide, page 50.

Only SR art I've ever liked.

As an aside, that's not lesbian elves; that is a lesbian elf with an old fashioned human.

Also, no, I'm not dead. Things have been kind of crazy.

Smell a Rat? Shadowrunners encounter a genetically-altered nightmare beneeth the Seattle Streets.

Why? Because its just so funny. They look like 2 D&D LARPers who bit off more than they could chew.

Likewise, Street Magic p.77 holds a special place in my heart because it proves that people who believe that White Wolf roleplaying games are a serious guide to performing magic will be no less dorky when they are proven right.
Fortune
Can't think of the title or artist right now, but I like the picture of the magician in the alley with the Acme Magic Circle paint.

And the pic of SR3's Weapon Specialist archetype.
Fire Hawk
Waay back now, in the days of the ShadowRun T-shits, there was one called "Smiley All Over", I believe.

It had the pic from Pg. 9, SR2 Core Rulebook (Opposite THE YEAR IS 2053).

That Bradstreet art in SR II bbb?
Kyoto Kid
...Interior art:

Canon Companion (don't remember which page) but the one with the guy in the APC looking at the rocket about to impact on the side.

His expression: Priceless

Cover Art:

Have to go with the original BBB as well. This is what shadowrunning is all about.

A close second is Paradise Lost. Be there! Aloha!

Another vote here for the first ed cover shot.

In the second ed. book, it's by Bradstreet, the one with three guys hunkered down behind a car while bullets go wizzing by. At the beginning of the combat chapter I believe, I'd look but my stuffs heading over to Korea.

Topic title corrected.

I like the Elmore SR cover for SR2 with Dodger, Ghost and Sally Tsung.

Fixed.

I like the image in MitS (I think?) of the spellslinger after his spell has blown up in his face.

Aside from that, nearly everything from Cybertechnology (though that Eye-Lights picture... wtf) I like as examples of what the 'ware looks like.

That's the one. Shame on me for not remembering tht it was Bradstreet.

I didn't like a lot of the early Shadowrun art, but I remember a picture of some cheerfully crazy runners driving a hijacked van with a terrified Lone Star officer tied upside down to the front. That was good for a smile.

I also like the cover of Magic in the Shadows, not for the style of the artwork so much, but because I like how the city spirit is depicted. It's similar to how I pictured them and I like it.

But fair shout to the modern stuff. I thought the cover of Runner Havens was very good and I really like the islamic mage in Street Magic here.

Final winners, unless I can think of any others, are probably joint covers of either Queen Euphoria or the first Harlequin adventure.

EDIT: Or the Orc gun adept from the SR4 stock characters. Now that is how an orc looks.

Second that. It's an awesome piece of art and covers combat perfectly. cool.gif

1ed/2ed cover. Echo that.

I'll also suggest the cover of the Seattle sourcebook.

But my favorite is (I think) from the cover of Sprawl Sites. The one with the somewhat cowboyish guy walking away down the alley with magical energy aroud his fingertips, with a rat and a troll (?) skull in the foreground and the sleazy neon ads in the background. Can't find it right now.

That and the DMZ box cover. Two Ancients on a combat bike leaning into the curve with the chica packing a SMG and a fireball.

that sprawl sites image used to be one of my favorites. I look at it now and think "bleh" but it's already in my heart.
So much of Bradstreet's work for SR was really excellent. The most iconic Shadowrun image ever, though, has to be the 1st/2nd edition cover.

A lot of the art from Imago. Sorry, no linkage.

You mean this picture I believe? It's not a very good quality scan I'm afarid since I actually nicked it out of the old SNES Shadowrun game manual. biggrin.gif
Angelone
Yes! That's it. Don't know if it's the scan or maybe my copy, but I seem to remember bullets going by. Have a mind like a steel trap though everything that goes in there gets mangled. Including that quote.

I like his hyper-realistic art style. What happened to him?
Grinder
According to his website at http://www.timbradstreet.com he's alive and well. Maybe FASA didn't pay him enough for his work or he lost interest in SR?
Kagetenshi
Maybe something happened like what happened with Stackpole? Talented unknown individual works for small company with smallish pay that will actually hire them, their work is good enough to give them a solid reputation, they move on to more mass-market gigs that pay significantly better but are very hard to get without a solid reputation?

He did a lot of work for World of Darkness too - really good stuff.

Looks like now, he's just doing comics and album covers.

"As of now Tim is hard at work creating more movie posters, doing conceptual art for film and video games, Currently he is inking and illustrating covers for BAD PLANET alongside co-creator's Steve Niles, Thomas Jane, and Lewis Larosa

Bradstreet also has his sights set on taking his character Gallows and the story of Red Sky Diary to the silver screen. Tim and wife Missy reside in San Diego, California."

I THOUGHT the image's style looked familiar. I just wish he still did SR artwork.

Who did the cover of Street Magic?
FlakJacket
Checking the pdf the cover art is credited to a one Michael Komarck. And from his site it would appear he also did the very nice cover for Running Wild as well.
emo samurai
Okay, what the hell is Running Wild?
Fortune
A formerly scheduled sourcebook on all things Critter, possibly slated for future release in an altered state.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm really not keen on that picture. On a technical level it's excellent, but… why is there a Hellhound there? It just doesn't make any sense…

(When I say "there", I mean "in the middle of an urban, apparently public area", not "on the cover of a critter-oriented sourcebook")

Shit, I plan on being in an altered state this weekend, but I don't think the book is ready...

[Ah, intentional misreadings, how fun you can be.]

S'alright. I was in an altered state when I wrote that post. wink.gif

Because he was very cute as a puppy.

I'm more concerned with why the hellhounds are flying.

Maybe they escaped from the Parashield office? It's not actually a public area? Other? smile.gif
WhiskeyMac
The cybered hellhounds are there because they either escaped from Parashield in the background or they are guard dogs for the site, duh! They're flying because that's how dogs attack people, duh! Haven't you guys seen The Big Boss (Chinese Connection) with Bruce Lee? Those German Shepherds do a mean leap attack on his ass. biggrin.gif

What I'm wondering is why that gunslinger adept is so pleased with that flamethrower attack? Perhaps she is a ... firecrotch? biggrin.gif
