The main problem is that only leaves 9 BP to cover remaining gear/weapons and contacts. He could lose a point of edge for an extra 10 BP if he needs it.

My bad. I was looking at the wrong sheet and putting in the wrong numbers that I had remembered and the numbers that were on the sheet.

Good overall tank, Tomothy. The one thing that I would change would be to drop the enhanced articulation. Reading the description, it might seem that it gives +1 to all of your physical skills. However, that piece of bioware has actually been seriously nerfed in SR4. You see, Physical skills are a separate category of active skills, and do not include combat skills, including dodge. In other words, your enhanced articulation doesn't give you a bonus for any of your skills.
Dropping it will gain you 8 build points. So you could:
A) Use it all for contacts and gear.
B) Change Dodge/Ranged: 1/+2 to Gymnastics: 1, then buy Synthcardium: 3, gving you 4 dice for ranged full defense and still leaving you a net gain of 4 build points.
C) Buy and bond a Force: 2 combat axe Weapon Focus, which will add 2 more dice to your attack rolls and let you affect spirits with Immunity to Normal Weapons much more easily. You will still have a net gain of 2 build points.

Fair point about enhanced articulation, pretty annoying mistake but it makes sense I guess. On the other hand, I didn't even know about Gymnastic Dodge!
I have since decided to give Toto a specialisation of Gymnastics - Dodging, this way he gets +6 dice for full defense, which left me with a net gain of 2 build points.
For gear I gave him a Force 2 Weapon Focus - Combat Axe, an Ares Predator and an Armor Jacket (w/Helmet). He also has a cheap commlink with some accessories (disposables), low lifestyle (1 month) and a Fixer Contact (Connection 3/Loyalty 1).
