Scab is a mystery to most folks, just a street urchin that folks see skulking around the place, most people don't really know who he is or they know some story that is 5% truth and 95% rumor.

To those in the Shadows who are in the know Scab is a tunnel rat, literally. He is an Arcane B+E expert who knows the OU and the sewers of Seattle like the back of his grimy hand. As a spell-slinger he is specialized in this non-combat role and has little or no offensive mojo. He is a reasonable counterspeller and an expert conjurer, which is how he chooses to hurt people he really needs to hurt.

The select few that have experienced his real party trick know that he has created a vast network of tunnels barely 3 inches wide that honeycomb vast areas of the OU and Seattle Metroplex. They also know that he is more than capable of turning you into a newt...

Several, high profile, extractions have occurred in recent years where bodyguards have lost their mark in a rest-room and have only found the clothes they entered the stall in.

Scab is also well known amongst the less well off or those that have reason to avoid Hospitals as a skilled mystic healer. Even those that are at deaths door have been known to make miraculous recoveries in only a few days.

I'd venture to say that Scab is someone that the Doc often refers the poor and the authority shy to for aftercare and post-surgical recovery.

[edit] Oooo. I've been trying to reconcile having a CHA of 6 and Uncouth. I didn't want to change Uncouth and just end up taking 'In Debt', again, but I couldn't wrap my head around someone as naturally charming as Scab is but that is also a total Social Retard.

And just as I posted this the phrase 'Millennium Hand and Shrimp' bubbled to the top of my mind and all became clear....

Glitch is on the run from the law. He was marked by a corporate spider for hacking into Renraku through a security hole in the Stuffer Shack node. He is a skilled hacker and forger, and as long as he can meet the contacts in VR, he's a passable face.

Glitch is a black belt in karate, and runs a dojo for the neighborhood kids out of his flat. Don't make him your main shooter, but he is a decent shot, a skill garnered from years of 1st-person shooter Matrix games. He has a control rig, and a handful of surveillance drones, so he can also act as a backup rigger.

Glitch is a bit of a black sheep in the Ork Underground due to the fact that he is quite human-looking. He can pass as human while conducting infiltration, so he usually does not merit the attention of Policlubbers, but he occasionally gets the same level of ire from prejudiced orks, who happen to think he's human.

Glitch's primary role is hacker. He will be doing alot of the computer legwork, as well as being the front line blitzer on any Matrix intensive missions.

St. Juste's role in the group can vary widely depending on circumstances.

He is capable of magical fire-support with his offensive spells and can take a few direct hits if necessary (though his berserker rage can become a problem if he gets hurt badly- in that case, he carries an autoinjector with dopadrine to calm him down remotely- he'll insist on good matrix protection for it, of course).
Due to metatype and stature, many opponents will not perceive him as the group's mage at first sight as he doesn't fit the stereotype of the whimpy spellcaster (this is also the sole reason why he owns a rifle at all and will not carry his foci and fetishes openly), meaning that it might be already too late for them.
He'll shun from killing people himself (although he doesn't protest when other team members resort to lethal weapons if it's necessary), preferring stun spells, but also packs some lethal mojo, mostly against drones, vehicles and the like.

He's able to provide some battlefield control with barriers and illusions as well.
Along with Scab, he takes the role of the group's medic with his heal and pain resistance spells and his profound knowledge of accupuncture.
The repair spell allows him to fix damage to small drones on the fly if the next repair facility is too far away.

His plant spirits can provide decent magical support as well as combat backup or efficient concealment, depending on the situation.
He'll always have at least one of them at hand to support his spells, provide counterspelling or cover and so on.
These spirits appear a lot more individual than the average hermetic elemental, behaving in a way similar to nature spirits.
They seem to remember previous summonings and the team members and in spite of their alien nature, appear friendly and benevolent unless ordered to fight.

St. Juste will constantly watch out for things going on on the astral plane.
Most team members should by now know that the sentence "wait a minute" usually results in him collapsing in the next corner to project and go ahead scouting.
He often establishes a telepathic connection beforehand to enable communication during mid-range patrols, reaching as far as 250 meters.
As a skilled aura reader, he can quickly provide an overview about the oppositions capabilities.
He'll also make heavy use of his psychometric skills to research information.

What he absolutely can't do is using any weapons at all, he simple never trained to do so as he could always rely on his spells.
His other skills mostly come down to not screwing up in situations he doesn't specialize in.

QUOTE
Because of this, having a fake SIN is a necessity to get out of the barrens and slums of the Sixth World. However, the level of your fake SIN and ID restricts your ability to access the nicer things in life. In game terms, you can only choose categories that are one point higher than the rating of your fake SIN. A runner with a Rating 2 fake SIN could only live in a Middle (3 LP) Neighborhood and could only take the other categories at a rating of 3.

A character with no SIN (real or fake) is limited to a total lifestyle cost of 7 Lifestyle Points or less, including qualities.

So at beginning character generation the best fake SIN is rating 4(without restricted gear quality) meaning rating 5 in Comforts Entertainment, Necessities, Neighborhood, and Security.

Note this does not apply if you are having your Lifestyle Spoofed.

I do not see any lifestyle on your sheets, any SIN, or Fake SIN?

First of all Grey: I love the second take on Mongol. The tattoos suit him, as do the scars. I like that there are some like the one on his left pec that are quite faded while others like the right pec look like they were stitched together a week ago with a peice of dirity twine. Definitly fits the concept.

Anyhow, as for how well Mongol plays with others.

Mongol would be the greenhorn of the group.

The language barrier, cultural differences, and his complete ignorance of the matrix would likely cause a lot of people to assume he's 'simple' or just plain stupid. The fact that he's muscle doesn't help matters.

An important note about how I'm going to play Mongol however. Unless WMS suggests otherwise when I'm typing up his diologue I'm going to write normally. I'll try my best to keep his diologue to a minimum and use simple words that he would be familiar with but I'm not going to sit down and diliberately mangle the english language or type with some sort of 'accent'. IME It's a pain to type that, and even a bigger pain to try and read it.

Mongol has no qualms about killing, being point man for interrogations, or otherwise doing unpleasant things to people. Violence has been a part of his life for so long it's as natural to him as breathing.

He's capable of anything from handling a sniper rifle, to a heavy machine gun, to a knife, to just plain beating people with his bare fists. He's even trained in demolitions, stealth, first aid, driving, mechanics... He's a skill monkey. I didn't devleop him to shine in any one area, but be capable of filling multiple roles depending on the situation. He'll never be as good as a dedicated character in any of those areas but on average he's going to roll 7-9 dice in just about anything he does. He's more of a support character than anything else, I don't intend for him to spend a lot of time in the spotlight.

The natural exceptions to this are face and hacker skills. It looks like that's pretty well covered though.

He's familiar with magic, despite not being awakened himself. The Awakened among his people were given great status within the tribe. He knows what they're capable of, both in and out of combat and will treat any awakened teammates with great respect. He also understands how to deal with awakened threats, and knows how to recognize mages, and the phrase 'geek the mage first' trancends cultural barriers. With a decent willpower he can also stand up to a fair number of magical threats himself, at least until one of the team mages can deal with it. In this respect at least he's a pretty generic Street Sam.

Hackers and Riggers are going to be confusing individuals for Mongol. He knows they arn't mages, but he also knows they do things that only mages can do. His computer illiteracy is to the point that he treats his comlink basically the same way we treat our cellphones today. He can make calls, and send text messages by laboriously punching them into the keypad but that's really about it. He has no means of interfacing with it apart from the scrollwheel and keypad built into it. He does have an image link in his glasses but right now it's pretty useless. It's set up to serve as a display for his smartlink but since he hasn't figured out how to filter spam yet his glasses are so clogged up with advertisments he can't see the sidewalk in front of him. He would greatly appreciate anyone willing to show him the ropes, but he's also quite proud and doesn't want to appear stupid in front of his new teammates, so he's not likely to bring it up, and might try and brush off any offers to help that come across as patronising.

Mongol is quite intelligent so he's going to pick up on things fairly quickly but he has a lot to learn. Assuming the other team members treat him with a mediocum of respect he'll do just fine, especially since he's at a point where he can develop in almost any direction. I doubt he'd ever become much of a hacker but other than that he's got a lot of room to grow, in a lot of different directions.

Dancer is the group's face, the go-to person for negotiating with the Johnson, defusing tensions before they can escalate into violence, and brokering shady deals. She fits in most places, being obviously orkish but still attractive by human standards. She is not fond of using her charms to lure or seduce a target, but will do it if it needs doing.

Despite her deceptively unimposing appearance, Dancer is also the close combat specialist of the group, with biomods and adept abilities that give her truly inhuman capabilities. She knows that guns trump fists, though, so she is also a good shot with her Colt heavy pistol.

She knows the basics of stealth (sneaking, shaking a tail, etc.), and true to her name, is a very good dancer (including being good at things like jumping and tumbling).

Now that you bring it up, i'll handle this in a similar way.

I might bring up one or two French words from time to time, but as i hardly speak any French at all, it won't come up often and will most likely be understandable, as it will not encompass more than the occassional bonjour or trés bien.
Besides that, i might make St. Juste look for words from time to time, but mostly, the fact that English is not my first language either should suffice to emulate his way of speaking.
I'm certainly not going to imitate his accent in writing, as it indeed would be a pain to read.
Just keep in mind that it is imediately noticeable.

I apologize for not posting sooner, I've been sick the past day or so.

Her lifestyle is listed under my BP Breakdown, it's medium (Costing me 1 BP for this month). Did not use advanced lifestyle.

She has a SIN, but she rarely uses it. It identifies her as Ex-Lonestar, which don't mean shit to most folk.

As far as her role goes in the party, she makes a great getaway driver and front line fighter. Her knowledge of Lonestar could also be useful. She's great at fixing cars, and can also be sneaky when she needs to be. She's got a bit of a temper, but it's controllable - most of the time.

Edit: Just realized that I need to GIVE her a SIN. I'll replace her Eye negative quality for the SINner quality.

Oh my god, i hope i don't screw up too badly then.
I know probably 20-50 French words at best...

I also put up the whole stuff for St. Juste in the Cast Of Shadows thread, including a slightly overhauled version of the 50+ questions and the requested notes on ordeals.
