I've seen Chrysalis post within the last day or so. I'll kick back and let the others who showed interest before me jump in....but i'll pounce at my oppurtunity when/if it comes. I'll also continue with the creation process so i dont slow anything down..if i'm needed

My stuff has cleared out some, so I can play now if the offer still stands.
If Chiphead wants to make some muscle, that would help...and hackers are cheap enough to make that I could easily make a hacker/face. He wouldn't be some kind of hideous pornomancer or hacker adept, but he would get the job done.

Skullcracka's got some hacking ability too. Not enough to be a primary code-slinger, since he is a rigger after all... but he's got a bit of hacking when we need it.

Since unseen can't make it this time around, then if others can make the original time, let's go with it... Sunday, March 1 at 12:00 PST, 13:00 MST, 20:00 GMT.
Iscariot and ChipheadCharley, go ahead and show us your hacker/face and CQC, respectively.
Chrysalis, the March 1 date would happen late at night on the Sunday for you in Finland. 22:00, I believe. Would that work for you? The last game went 4.5 hours, and I would like to maintain the trend. Maybe a bit longer with more players, but we also spent a fair amount of time working out the mechanics of MapTool the first time.
If Iscariot, ChipheadCharley and Chrysalis join the party, that would make 7 players. One big happy family. I was able to keep up with 4 players pretty easily in MapTool, so 7 should still work.
I will wait for a final word from these last three players before I seek more from the original list.

Yeah, I like those rules a lot. After working in the tech field for so many years in the past, I can't wrap my head around the book rules where programs and tech COMPLETELY replace any intelligence whatsoever.

Right now, whenever works.
Chiphead: For my 2 cents, we really need some matrix support, and a face.
BTW: Should we plan out how we're going to track the two drug dealers here on the boards? I think it'd save us some valuable time in chat (and let pbangarth plot up dastardly things for us!)
Right now, there's the three of you in the van and me on my motorcycle; we can do it over the commlink. I think we can codger together a plan in the next month.

From Lamia's mind probe, we know "Alec Littletree has meetings with someone from another gang, and Tommy is a lookout. The meeting place is a Tacoma bar -- you have the location."
We go there, stake the place out, bug the inside with a drone if possible, put a person inside. Mau or the face character we'd recruit for the inside work. Skullcracka's rotodrones can stand by on the outside to tail them once the meeting is over. Lamia handles the astral overwatch and peeks at their magical security.

Ooooohhhhh.... a plan!
Umm... could we keep the actual dialogue between PCs in the IC thread? If I need to look back for info on what your PCs plan/know, it would be easier.
Thanks.

Well, the time zone difference really messes with Chrysalis' schedule, so it looks like she is out. Sorry to hear, Chrysalis, we will miss you.
Therefore it looks as if at the moment I will have fun integrating two new PCs into the group, Iscariot's hacker/face and ChipheadCharley's CQC muscle. Post those PCs here as soon as you can, so I can work out a story that doesn't look too forced.
ChipheadCharley, if you need to be away from the keyboard for 15 minutes or so during the game, will you be alright with the other players making some decisions for you during that time?

It doesn't appear as if I had specified how to use the 450 BP at chargen. The question arose as to whether that meant 225 in Attributes, or 200. I see all the earlier PCs were built with the 200 BP limit, so let's stick with that.
This leaves an extra 50 BP for gear, contacts, skills, etc. that can represent experience for your PC.

Peter, in the IC thread, the Matrix Etiquette roll was to find out how to dress/act once we go to the bar. It wasn't meant to take the place of actions once there -- simply beforehand legwork. Showing up at a biker bar dressed in a hawiian shirt, flip-flops and sunglasses wouldn't exactly lend to fitting in!

Since unseen can't make it this time around, then if others can make the original time, let's go with it... Sunday, March 1 at 12:00 PST, 13:00 MST, 20:00 GMT.
This is the way we had last left it, and noone had complained. If it is a problem, please let's firm up the time soon!
My wife is returning by air Sunday morning; I'll be picking her up. If things work, then the 13:00 MST start time is OK. The latest schedule has us home by noon MST if there are no delays. For Canada in early March, that can be a big IF. If I am stuck at the airport, I may have difficulty letting you know, though there should be terminals available there to access the internet.
If we change to Friday as we had suggested before, I am tutoring a student till 17:30 MST and could be home by 18:00 MST for a start then. (Though I might be eating as we start up!) On Friday, I would prefer starting at 19:00 MST... and actually wouldn't mind going longer than four hours. I believe that start time was good for
Knight Saber,
Fyndhal,
ChiPsiUp and
Octopiii as well.
Oh...damn... this puts
ChipheadCharley at 21:00 EST on Friday to start. Does that work for you,
CC?
So, Friday evening is safer for actually getting a game started on time, but goes late, and Sunday afternoon is easier on our brains but may be snowed out.
Now, with the flight schedule change for my wife, I would prefer Friday. How about others?

That's perfectly fair, Fyndhal. We had left it at Sunday for quite a while. And Mau is in the middle of things, so there's no way we will 'freeze' him.
So The game is Sunday, 1 March 2009. We will meet online in MapTool at 13:00 unless I get snowed under. (Literally!) Should I be held up at the airport, I will try to leave a messages/updates in this forum.
If anyone needs technical help with MapTool or anything else, lets talk it over before Sunday. ChipheadCharley, have you posted a character description? We also need to talk about your icon in the game.
I'm looking forward to the game! We went one session without combat. How long can it last?

Oh, I can guarantee that Fishbreath will do something stupid before long. Of course, he also has a desire to get paid, the man has bills!
If it wasn't so late in the session last time, he may have gone after the possessed lady. Just, because, ya know, he was high.

Of course, he may be high through the rest of next session too! I have no idea how long that drug lasts. It should be a fun time!

OK, so ChipheadCharley's PC Topknot should be available to play tomorrow (Sunday). I am working on a way to blend him into the story, orrrr...
.... we could just imagine he was with us all along. Either way works for me, but the former way will keep him out of action for a while. Which could be good as he would get to see how the mechanics work, but on the other hand would make him a lurker for a while. The latter puts a sammie into action right away. This may or may not be important; I don't want to give you any clues.
Any feedback?

I like the idea of the blend rather than the "he was here all along." With two samurai, we might well have stayed to fight the possessed girl at the club, so this way, that doesn't need to be explained away.

Discription:
To those careless observers on the street, Topknot appears to be another Ork whose's made it to a cushy middle-management position. They look upon his nice suits as a way to blend in and hopefully push his way further up the corporate ladder. The careless observer misses all the details, like the ratio of muscle to fat, the confident stride and posture, the ever vigilant eyes behind sunglasses, and the smart chipped Ares Predator in a concealed holster.
The Ork metatype and his African descent give Topknot a good muscular base, from which he earns a living. On file, the fake ones, he's a freelance 'Human Resource adjustment manager' consultant. It has happened more than once, he's been mistaken for a Mr. Johnson due to his business style clothing and his short, but neatly maintained afro (which he calls the Jim Kelly look to his close associates). On the job, Topknot dresses more appropriately to the situation.
