Laurie appears to be beset with real life loads. Is there anything we can do to make life and participation here easier?

I really don't know we could move forward on our own.

Aug 22 2009, 02:32 PM
I hope not! I've been having fun.
I see Chrysalis on Dumpshock, and contributing. So she has access. Maybe we are in for a complicated and devious plot which she needs to flesh out. Her last missive (albeit a month old) said she was still working on the story.
I'm ready to help move things along in any way I/Professor can.

Sorry, sorry, been sort of distracted here. Nothing for it, but to post up a response. And I will in the next ten minutes.

Hey guys.
I am back from the land of living, and would love to finish this story up as well. Hope you guys don't mind the open Elven Supremacy. It will be toned back to a scale and if it ever gets to the point of no return, feel free to try and snipe Toreador from a rooftop or plant bomb in his motorcycle.

Let's finish off the adventure. So this game does not keep hanging.
Home invasion Keith Charles Flint style.

Going to try and astrally perceive the intruder at Karkoff's apartment.
Int 3 + Assessing 3 = [1,1,3,5,3,4] = 1 hit.
Hopefully Toreador can see state of health, present emotional state, and see if he is mundane or awakened?
Chrysalis
Sep 18 2009, 09:50 PM
Mundane, healthy, and very, very happy.
SincereAgape
Sep 19 2009, 12:05 AM
Happy? Blasphemous. That can't be a state of mind for a villainous NPC in Shadowrun. Off with his head.

Hey Professor, glad to see that you're around. How are we going to get out of this predicament without any of the family members getting hurt?

Yeah, I figured that was Professor she was noticing. Well, he kind of little and cuddly, in a hirsute sort of way.

Score one for the Tir. Professor, this is great. Your pacifist nature is really increasing the drama of this scene. I feel like I am reading a book that cannot be put down.

Sheesh, slow down guys.
Weeks go by and nothing happens, turn your back to go to work and all hell breaks loose...
I'm off to bed now, I'll post IC this evening.
Lauri, I don't suppose you saved the internal maps? The house has sold recently so the maps are gone....

If Chrysalis doesn't have them, I do. I could post them on that website where she asked us to put our character descriptions... if I could remember where that is.

As I am stuck using another computer, I don't have the images anymore. So Peter if you could place them on Google documents or any image hosting service where everyone can see them.

Welcome back Crizh. In all fairness, the Professor has been the most dedicated player to this module, so he deserves the spotlight IMO.
Peter technical question: Toreador does have mind probe and Mob Mind. I am not sure if you are able to cast spells from the astral towards targets who are in the in the mundane world, unless the beings are dual natured.
It looks like Blue Boy is an initiate fo some kind.

Chrysalis, bmcoomes has been around recently, but I haven't seen SirPsycho or Mickle5125 in a while. Any chance we could do a couple of generic things with Blackie and Dick?

sorry about the lack of posting. All of my teachers decided that they wanted to schedule tests, papers, projects, and programs, one right after the other, to the point where i'd get one done and immediately start on the next because it was due within 24 hours. Blech.
I'll get a post up soonish.

That's why the degree gets you a job. Not so much because you know stuff, but because you meet deadlines.

Actually, it is a serious request. Has this game tanked? I am refraining from joining new games here on DS as I feel running one game and playing in three is already more than I can handle. If this game has died, then maybe I can get in on something else.
I have been having lots of fun in this game, and would like it to continue. I would like Professor to continue. However, we haven't actually played (posted IC action) in over a month.
Dr. Karkoff and his family are getting more and more antsy. I don't know how much longer Professor can keep them in that room safe from the assailant. At least one of them has to go pee really badly!

Lauri's been pretty busy in real life, her works hours have been increasing on a consistent basis and she is finally beginning to get accustomed to life in Libya.
Other then that, besides Peter we haven't been the most consistent posters for this game, so the momentum of the story can be hard to maintain. If you guys would really like for the story to continue I suggest sending an encouraging PM to Chrysalis. GMing Shadowrun, even for a PbP game, can be a draining and stressful task, and you'll be amazed at how far kind and encouraging words can go.
