She's allergic to garlic. |
ARGH! Now that's a curse and a half alright. You have my sympathies Snow Fox.
PS> Have you been messing around with the HMHVV again?
Anyhoo, some fascinating points about the French language there guys, but you're straying a little off topic again...

Yeah, some infos about the book release might lighten up the mood.
Hmm, is this already the most delayed release of Shadowrun ever?

remember those where the days when 50mm armed Panzer III where the main tank killers! |
Incorrect. The early versions of the PzKw III used the 3.7cm KwK 36 L 45; the 5cm did not become general equipment until well into 1941.
Some PzKw III in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa still carried the 3.7cm.

SoE revised release date: April 2004

I was talking about something official.

You probably won't get anything ''more official'' unless you call Rob and he tells you the
exact release date(if he can)...
Adam

And he can't, because meteors could rain down upon Chicago, destroying the building that FanPro's office is in, and crushing Rob's laptop.
Last I heard it was just about finished editing/development.

Just curious, has the delay in SoE pushed back the releases of the rest of the production line? I am just curious.

SoE is in Final Editing stages and we're all hoping the April deadline sticks.
Regarding Frag's question - let me just say that what caused the delay in SoE's release date probably affected the overall schedule; if I'm not mistaken MrJLBB is also slightly behind. However, last I heard Rob Boyle is doing his utmost for these books to come out in quick sucession and get the schedule back on track.

Yay! Finally. I preordered it back in September (under my old name too -- augh
). It's good to hear progress is being made though. I'm looking forward to it, especially after how good SoNA was (surprisingly so, too).

Most of [if not all of...] MJLBB is being written by people who aren't involved with Shadows of Europe, so while there's likely been some delays on the development end, MRLBB is certainly not stalled at the gates.

If I recall correctly, Shadows of Europe was slated (way back when sometime) was slated for August/2003. So, if it's delayed until August/2004, wouldn't that sort of put the line back on track? I mean, the original planned release dates for products might match up again. Sure, it's a year behind, but it's still the same month.

The local gaming store has a betting pool on when SoE is actually coming out. I bet that it could beat Magic in the Shadows for Most Delayed Sourcebook.
Can't someone involved in the editing process push it back until next December? I'll split the take.

Unfortunately Bob, barring seismic upheavals or other natural catastrophes, it currently looks like SoE will keep to the adjusted release date. More info when it's available.

Heh, and if you want a book for delayed release records you've got a long way to go before you come close to Games Workshop's Realm of Chaos: The Lost and the Damned - the sister volume to Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness.

For warhammer RPG, Realms of Sorcery came out sixteen years after the first annoucements. Also the fourth part of the Doomstones campaign for the same game came out twelve years after the third episode. I mean, you can wait for a rulebook, but in the middle of a campaign...
