I told Doc this, and I might as well tell all of you, the stats of the dragon are set in stone, as well as his defenses, gaurdians, cruise missiles, and orbital batteries. I wont be changing or adding anything just because you guys thought of somethign I didnt.
Having said that, ignore the lake of ketchup on the island

Ouch. He needs quite a bit of work to make him worthy of a 400 Karma character... I'll see what kind of recommendations I can offer. Kinda in the middle of something at the moment though. But I will reply sometime tonight.

Out of curiosity, do you only have access to the main sourcebook?

Main Sourcebook, CC, and the matrix book. I did have the Shadowrun Companion until a cat had some fun with it. Little problem with money at the moment.

Ok here is the list of players I have
Doc Funk (Belfast)
Fortune (Danny)
Ecce (Adept)
Whizbang (Mage)
Tanka (Rigger)
DH (Adept)
Sabo (Troll Street Sam)
Raiko (??)
Rokur (??)
Morgannah (Mage)
Final characters are do By Friday at 5 PM. No exceptions. Ok well maybe there will be exceptions, but you need to let me know if you cant make the Friday deadline. I would like to get the game started over the weekend.
Currently we are a little week on the mundane side. If anyone hasn't decided what to make yet, another troll or ork street sam could be good. Or another adept. I recommend highly focusing your character if you want to survive, let alone win.

I'm curious, since y'all have 20 mil... y'all think about hiring mercenaries and grunts? Have that fire support team who will man the anti-air missle battery or the mobile artillery platforms? Great way to pound the enemy base... there's all those great stats for the artillery pieces and mortars...

I'll also get to working on my character right away; already fleshed out a fair amount (mojo-slingers EAT through karma like no one's business). There won't be a problem with getting her in on time.

That works too.
But again, are any of y'all buying the hordes of drones/vehicles that can put up mortars and whatnots? that'll be cool, to have a fire mission planned out that will aid in your assault.
I look forward to reading this massive action/adventure thread. Wheee!!!

I don't think Mercs would voluntarily attack a dragon. They would have to be tricked or something.
Ol' Scratch
Nov 17 2004, 06:35 AM
Like I said in a PM... we sucker them into thinking we were just going out to audition for the Desert Wars and offer a five-year multi-million-nuyen contract. We'd even throw in free t-shirts of one of the musical bands we also sponsor -- the Lemmings. Solid plan, man... rock solid. Should any of them live, well, accidents happen. (Hooray for a complete and total lack of moral fiber!)
Sabosect
Nov 17 2004, 06:36 AM
Meh. You can get gangs to attack a dragon if you pull it right. Just tell them the dragon is an illusion of some mage and that if they shoot it and attack it in melee it'll go away.
Dr. Funk- PM for ya.

I think Fortune spent the whole thing on karma.
Fortune
Nov 17 2004, 09:34 AM
Not quite ... 12 Million so far, with probably a couple more soon.

I would have spent it all on Karma, but some of the toys were just too tempting.

Since team Effort was set in '59 (ish), I figure the intervening years are enough rationale for the Karma increase.
Shadow

Actually Team Effort was in late '63.
I rationalize that is is a alternate unverse.

Something I just noticed with your version of the heli, Doc. In order to have DBW, you need Structural Agility.
Reworking the heli now with a few of the notes from Doc in mind. I completely forgot about the Quality Factors page.
Back to the drawing board!
Edit: And each 5 PF of "fuel" is 1 kg, not 1:1.
Fortune
Nov 17 2004, 05:41 PM
Weird ... my history for TE has it wrong then. Oh well.

It's not like it's a big deal, but if you want, I'll change to a different character.
Ol' Scratch
Nov 17 2004, 05:43 PM
Nope, you need Drive-By-Wire to have Structural Agility, not the other way around. The +1 to Reaction is so not worth the exaggerated cost of SA. And you should look at my notes for the Fuel Capacity Increase again.

I bought 1,000 units of it, granting 5,000 PF and lowering Load by 1,000kg.

Now... Multi-Object Manipulation: Says Adaptation Pool x 100 per level. Robot Pilot 5 + Improved Neural 5 = 10 Adaptation Pool, correct? Multiply by 500 = 5,000 DP.
Or is my brain slowly trying to tell me to go take a nap?
