(4009) Jim: ==============GAME START=============
(3979) Backgammon: Any ideas what to do with Sally?
(4009) Jim: (Perminent standby? Like she just sits out there and 'watches seans back'
(3991) Sean: Robot her along
(3979) Backgammon: Hrm, ok I'll NPC her, since her presence might add flavour
(3991) Sean: (( Yea. We are at a point where we need her skills ))
(4009) Jim: ((True))
(3991) Sean: (( Can you repaint the current scene for me? ))
(3979) Backgammon: yup, here we go -
(3979) Backgammon: Sean gets off the bus and ducks in the small coffee shop where Sally is waiting for him. A light melting snow is falling down, making the nightime city lights shimmer off the slick pavement. Sally is sitting behind a high set round table, her fedora pushed low against her brow and comically holding up a newspaper to hide her face from the coffe shop's street window
(3979) Backgammon: She makes a small whistle in your direction as you step into the shop "Psst. over here"
(3991) Sean: Sean ducks in. He has AR turned up and drags Jim's virtual presence along with him. He whispers to Sally as if he's some sort of secret agent... "The blue seagull swam in the Atlantic..."
(3979) Backgammon: (You are in Midtown, an area of mixed appartments, retail and nightlife spots. Security is moderate and your fake ID is holding up)
(4009) Jim: Aperently he shouldn't do so anymore.
(3979) Backgammon: Sally eyes him. "What does that mean? Did you kill someone??"
(3979) Backgammon: "Never mind, I don'T want to know"
(3979) Backgammon: She nods in the direction of the street
(4009) Jim: I think he means he drowned them.
(3991) Sean: Sean stops, raises and eybrow, looks to the side for a moment... "No.." He looks where she nods, rather than finishing his thought.
(3979) Backgammon: "Our woman lives, or at least is presently situated, in an appartment across the road"
(3979) Backgammon: What should we do?
(3991) Sean: "Do we have an idea where her apartment is?"
(3991) Sean: "Inside the building, of couse.. Which number?"
(3979) Backgammon: Yeah, Jim can tell us Jason's spirit told him exactly where she was
(3979) Backgammon: (which he did)
(4009) Jim: She's in apartment XXX
(3991) Sean: (( What floor? ))
(4009) Jim: ((x)
(3979) Backgammon: (5th)
(3991) Sean: (( building has 6+ floors? ))
(3979) Backgammon: (7 floors)
(4009) Jim: ((So no penthouse for her then))
(4009) Jim: ((Have I been able to find anything out about here?))
(4009) Jim: ((her*))
(3979) Backgammon: (The appartment is situated on a boulevard, so the door to it opens directly onto the sidewalk, with retail shops on both sides)
(3979) Backgammon: (You could invade her commlink. GM Jim had decided not to do so yet)
(4009) Jim: ((GM Jim is very different from real Jim))
(3991) Sean: (( hehehe ))
(3979) Backgammon: (It was a team decision ;P)
(4009) Jim: ((So this is a nice place then? High lifestyle type?))
(3979) Backgammon: (Yes.. Medium/High, which is the standard for Manhattan (2070 version)
(4009) Jim: ((Alright))
(4009) Jim: ((I know her commcode right?))
(3979) Backgammon: (you have an active link to it right now)
(4009) Jim: ((ok))
(4009) Jim: +Begins examining the mystery lady's commlink, attempting to assess its defences+
(3991) Sean: "If we need a physical recon, you get me info on her, I've reverse my jacket to the delivery jacket and activiate the courier licence."
(3979) Backgammon: "Kinda late for deliveries, unless it's pizza"
(3991) Sean: (( What is the time? ))
(3979) Backgammon: 8pm
(4009) Jim: That sounds like a good idea...
(4009) Jim: +Thoughts of a large pizza drift into his mind as he begins to break into the commlink+
(3979) Backgammon: (you can roll)
(4009) Jim: ((Forgot my dicepool and can't find my extra notes, one second...))
(4009) Jim: ((6,6,3,1,2,2))
(4009) Jim: ((skill program nano gene vr codeslinger))
(4009) Jim: ((ok, good))
(4009) Jim: [20d6] => [1,5,4,1,6,5,2,5,1,4,4,3,4,6,5,6,4,2,3,4] Hits: (7)
(3979) Backgammon: (After eying that juicy node for far too long, you plunge into it. Typical 'civilian' commlink - security is a joke. You slice through the defences without thinking about it. You find yourself in a dark dungeon, there is very little little. Your personna frowns and takes out penlight, as you start snooping around)
(3979) Backgammon: (*very little light)
(4009) Jim: ((Oops, make that 5 hits, I only have 4 skill, not 6))
(3979) Backgammon: (still good)
(4009) Jim: +Yawns slightly and makes a note to hack something worthwhile later, takes in the dull surroundings, and begins serching for personal info, starting with her SIN+
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [1,1,2,4,6,3,6,4,3,1,4,5,1,5,2,6] Hits: (5)
(4009) Jim: ((Data search))
(3979) Backgammon: (You virtual steps echo in he vast dungeon. You've rarely seen a commlink so devoid of information. You pick up a little black box from a wood table you find in a corner - her SIN, encrypted as usual. You keep looking, and only find a small rolodeck. You look at the numbers, but the text comes out all smeared - encrypted as well)
(3979) Backgammon: (There might be more information, but the place is starting to creep you out as you feel like you are entombed in a crypt, alone for all eternity, the dust and silence your only companions. You figure you have the good stuff, anyway)
(4009) Jim: +Makes copies and creates a back door more out of habbit then a desire to ever return before logging off to start the decryption+
(4009) Jim: [18d6] => [1,3,1,5,4,1,1,6,1,5,1,4,5,5,6,4,3,1] Hits: (6)
(4009) Jim: [18d6] => [6,2,5,2,1,4,4,2,5,5,2,5,2,1,1,2,3,4] Hits: (5)
(4009) Jim: ((Decryption rolls))
(3979) Backgammon: which are you doing first, SIn or rolodeck?
(4009) Jim: SIN
(3979) Backgammon: ok, roll for rolodeck
(4009) Jim: ((Only get one roll each))
(4009) Jim: ((First was SIN second was Rolo
(3979) Backgammon: it's extended
(4009) Jim: ((No, it is opposed))
(3979) Backgammon: p.225 SR4?
(3991) Sean: "Say, I'm gonna go grab a pizza. Once you own her com, log a call to the front desk or security of the apartment building that she ordered a pizza."
(4009) Jim: ((Weird, ok))
(4009) Jim: [18d6] => [2,1,3,5,6,1,2,3,2,6,2,4,1,1,4,2,2,5] Hits: (4)
(4009) Jim: [18d6] => [2,1,4,3,3,3,6,3,2,2,5,3,5,6,2,1,1,5] Hits: (5)
(3979) Backgammon: You open fire on the SIN blackbox with yor battery of 'borrowed" Ares decryption algorithms, unraveling the outer shell and making it spill all its juicy bit. You then gleefully turn your attention to the rolodeck, and open fire on it as well. Unfortunately, you weren't expecting it ti actually *explode* from the algorithms. Disconcerted, you frown at the remains of the Data Bomb destroyed file.
(4009) Jim: +picks up the remains and gives a slight shrug, tossing them into a nearby trashcan, glad that he made a back door. He quickly goes and retreives another copy of the rolodex, this time making sure to defuse the bomb before decryption+
(4009) Jim: (Defuse)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [3,5,3,2,5,6,4,3,4,2,3,2,3,6,1,5] Hits: (5)
(3979) Backgammon: Hmm, actually, the file exploded the instant you originally looked at it, on her commlink
(3979) Backgammon: when you downloaded it rather
(3979) Backgammon: "accessed"
(4009) Jim: (Heh, I see)
(3991) Sean: (( Yuck ))
(4009) Jim: (Did I not get a matrix perception check to notice the bomb?))
(3979) Backgammon: Not an automatic one
(4009) Jim: (I don't know why not)
(3979) Backgammon: Hmm, reasonnable, but with a -2 'distracted' modifier since you arent fully paying attention (background process scna)
(3979) Backgammon: go ahead and roll
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [5,5,5,1,6,5,6,1,6,6,4,2,3,3,2,6] Hits: (9)
(4009) Jim: (Bah, left out the -2, so only 7 hits.
(3979) Backgammon: (which is enough, you can diarm)
(4009) Jim: (Which would be my 5 hits)
(3991) Sean: (( Do you have to use an analyze program for a matrix perception test? ))
(3979) Backgammon: (yes)
(4009) Jim: ((Yep))
(3979) Backgammon: (ok it is disarmed, so no burnt file for you - you decrypt the rolodeck)
(4009) Jim: (Alright, so who is she?)
(3979) Backgammon: (The SIN indicates this is the commlink of a certain Vivian Potapowicz, She is a resident of Manhattan a a registered magic user)
(4009) Jim: Looks like she's Vivian Potapowicz and she's awakened. +Forwards her photo ID to Sean+
(4009) Jim: (and sally)
(3979) Backgammon: (The rolodeck holds the commlink numbers to a bunch of people you have never heard of, except for a dial number for Ezequiel Oppenheimer)
(3991) Sean: Sean walks up the street looking for a pizza shop.
(3991) Sean: As its being prepared, he describes the delectable treat in great detail for Jim's benefit.
(3979) Backgammon: (Vivian Potapowicz is a beautiful dark haired woman with green eyes)
(3979) Backgammon: (mid 30s)
(3991) Sean: "She got a journal or anything on that com?"
(3991) Sean: "Or how about a Mr Potapowicz?"
(4009) Jim: Yeah yeah, live it up, not like you get to eat any of it. No, not that I saw, which means it isn't there or she is actually some government agent with amazing stealth programs.
(3979) Backgammon: The immaculate ork youth preparing Sean's pizza hands it to him with a large smile. You can't even get a simple greasy pizza anymore in this town. And certainly not a cheap one, as you fork over the cred for the overpriced italian delight
(4009) Jim: +Checks the SIN for married status and runs a call to the pizza place Sean is at through her commlink, asking about various toppings and hanging up after a bit+
(3979) Backgammon: (She is not married)
(3991) Sean: Sean takes the pizza and fakes a smile. ((Mental note.. Next time have Jim log the pie as PREPAID!!))
(4009) Jim: Looks like she's single.
(4009) Jim: ((Heh, yeah, have Jim hack into the pizza place's computer so that Sean can get free pizza, everyone's dream))
(3979) Backgammon: Lucky you (from Sally)
(3979) Backgammon: (this all only took like 7 minutes in-game btw)
(3991) Sean: He heads down the street to the first Alley. He ducks in, flips his jacket around, changes his appearance to look like a younger.
(3991) Sean: "You wanna spoof my com signal so I can start a new trail when I exit this alley?"
(3979) Backgammon: (impressive)
(4009) Jim: Sure, oh, and be careful, that commlink was way too empty. It could well be a fake or backup.
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [3,3,1,6,5,5,3,5,4,6,6,5,6,3,3,4] Hits: (

(3991) Sean: "Now you tell me...." Sean snickers as he waits for a go ahead..
(3979) Backgammon: (good to go, Jim can petty much spoof at will)
(4009) Jim: +Performs a spoof on Sean's commlink before giving Sean the go ahead+
(3991) Sean: Sean heads out of the alley, whistling as he goes..
(4009) Jim: ((We happen to know if she is home or not?))
(3991) Sean: He heads down to the apartment building, striding on up and in...
(3979) Backgammon: (Just as you are about to step out of the alley: "Psst, hey, HEy!"
(3979) Backgammon: (she is home)
(3991) Sean: He stops..
(3991) Sean: Looks back..
(3979) Backgammon: "Hey buddy.. spare some of that pie, chummer?"
(4009) Jim: (Cool)
(3991) Sean: (( Bum or mugger? ))
(3979) Backgammon: (roll perception)
(3991) Sean: [11d6] => [2,1,4,6,3,3,4,4,3,5,6] Hits: (3)
(3979) Backgammon: it's dark you don't see well, but there seems to be a youg man in a hoodie hiding further down the alley. You know he's too far to be a treath.
(4009) Jim: ((Unless he has.. you know.. a gun))
(3979) Backgammon: (shooting Sean, as he is close to the alley exit, would be detrimental to the stranger'S long term health, as the street you be alerted. He could be insane and not care, though)
(4009) Jim: (That's a good point)
(3979) Backgammon: "I got cred chummer, just need a little delivery here, ya know"
(3979) Backgammon: (You see two hands poke out where they can be seen, not holding anything)
(3991) Sean: Sean considers sharing a slice of the pie, but that would take him off mission. The offer to pay however scream 'trap'.
(4009) Jim: Why the dreck doesn't he buy his own pizza if he has the cred?
(3991) Sean: Sean says, "Sorry... I'm late." and he backs out.
(3979) Backgammon: "you're all the same..." trails behind you as you resume your mission
(4009) Jim: Weird.. maybe he's wanted....
(4009) Jim: +Does a scan for the guy's commlink+
(3979) Backgammon: LOT of signales in the area
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [5,6,4,6,1,3,4,2,6,6,5,1,6,1,1,3] Hits: (7)
(4009) Jim: (Well that is the entire point of the skill, to pick out the right one)
(3979) Backgammon: (yup, roll 3 more times)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [6,2,4,2,6,2,3,5,4,5,5,2,3,5,2,6] Hits: (7)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [1,1,2,6,2,3,5,3,4,6,3,2,5,6,1,6] Hits: (6)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [3,4,4,5,2,2,1,1,2,2,3,6,1,2,1,4] Hits: (2)
(3979) Backgammon: (after a minute you give up - there is no node where that guy is. He doesn't have a commlink - which by extension means he is breaking the law of Manhattan simply by being there)
(3991) Sean: "That would scan. But if security checks the pie and a piece is missing...."
(4009) Jim: +Sits back and ponders the guy for a little while+ Yeah, and he doesn't have a commlink, that's odd. No way a bum would be able to wander around like that.
(3979) Backgammon: (this is accurate)
(4009) Jim: Could always tell them you got hungry on the way or she ordered it that way, but yeah, best show up with a whole pie
(3979) Backgammon: (ordered it that way... that's fucking hilarious)
(4009) Jim: (People love messing with pizza guys)
(3979) Backgammon: (that's gold)
(4009) Jim: (Could say she just ordered 7 single slices)
(3979) Backgammon: (-->Sean gets to the appartment door)
(4009) Jim: Damn, now I'm curious about that guy.
(3979) Backgammon: (muahaha)
(4009) Jim: Go sell him some pizza when we're done here.
(4009) Jim: (Oh yeah, going to monitor that commlink to see if she ever uses it at all)
(3991) Sean: "Yea, I was thinking that.."
(4009) Jim: (We're going to go off on a complete tangent here.)
(4009) Jim: Oh well, if he had a commlink it wasn't on, either way... but for now we need to meet Viv.
(3991) Sean: (( As Sean is heading to the apt door)) "Ok, we need a few decisions.. (1) You can pop the lock using her com and I can stride in.. Gonna be a fight if she's there or (2) I can knock, but she'll get wiggy about a pie she didn't order..
(3991) Sean: "or (3) Fill in the blank....."
(3979) Backgammon: (you have to get in the apt building door before getting to the apt door)
(3991) Sean: ( I was trying to roll back a little

)
(4009) Jim: +Monitors the commlink to see if the front desk calls up to her and transfer the call over to me, also going to set up a basic voice scramble to make me sound genericly feminine if need be+
(3979) Backgammon: (assuming Sean is rining the front door?)
(4009) Jim: Well, if you go with option 2 we should at least be able to make sure she is who we think she is, may also be able to get a lock on any other commlinks she may have on her...
(4009) Jim: (Is there a valet at the front door? Like the kind who's job it is to open the door for you and say hello.)
(3979) Backgammon: (no. there is a central computer that acts as a doorman)
(3991) Sean: Then Sean will check in with the front door.
(3979) Backgammon: (you tell it what you are here for, it validates, and lets you in or not. in case of doubt it'll probably ask the person you are here for)
(4009) Jim: Should let you in, ran a call through her commlink to the pizza place, though they may have some protocal for informing the front desk I don't know about.
(3979) Backgammon: You virtually buzz in, saying "pizza delivery!". A second later the door buzzes open
(3991) Sean: Sean heads in.
(3979) Backgammon: (Jim, there's a call coming in from the front desk to warn Vivian about her incoming pizza. You have a split second to intercept it if you like)
(4009) Jim: (I'll do that and take it myself, going to speak through a proxy female avatar, so that'll take care of the voice)
(3979) Backgammon: (it's notification only, you don't need to respond. You easily supress it)
(4009) Jim: (Cool, warning averted)
(3979) Backgammon: Sean heads up
(4009) Jim: (I will however log on her commlink that she got the notification, I just won't have it pop anything up to her)
(3979) Backgammon: (ok)
(4009) Jim: (Edit data roll if needed)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [1,6,4,1,4,5,6,6,4,6,6,1,4,3,5,2] Hits: (7)
(3991) Sean: "Not sure what to say when I get there..."
(3979) Backgammon: (As you watch you 'Sean' blip go up in the building, you see your 'Vivian' blip unexpectedly start moving, and heading out of her appartment and towards the elevator)
(4009) Jim: Could just pretend to be a pizza delivery guy. Give her the whole 'look, I just deliver the pizza, and I was told to deliver here' thing.
(4009) Jim: Huh, looks like she's leaving... odd timing though.
(3979) Backgammon: (there's only 1 elevator, so Sean is going to bump into her)
(4009) Jim: Well, you should pass her on the elevator.
(3991) Sean: "Rock and roll:"
(3991) Sean: "Awesome!"
(4009) Jim: Umm...
(4009) Jim: You been watching too many flatvids or something?
(3991) Sean: "Boredom... Insomnia.... You know..."
(4009) Jim: I guess so.
(3979) Backgammon: *ding* The elevator door opens. Sean finds himself eye to eye with Vivian. More impressive in person. She has vivid green eyes, luxurious dark tangles of hair. Her makeup has an overall dark tone, perfectly applied dark cherry lipstck, dark eye shadow. She is wearing a sexy leather dress under her open DK coat, with a little Louis Vuitton handbag
(3979) Backgammon: she cocks an eyebrow at you
(3979) Backgammon: (you're sorta in her way)
(4009) Jim: ((Quick, tackle her!!))
(3991) Sean: Sean smiles a wide smile.
(3991) Sean: Serious?
(4009) Jim: ((That was OOC))
(3991) Sean: Sean lifts the pizza with his left hand and steps past her.
(4009) Jim: +Runs a scan for any commlinks she may have besides the one he currently has+
(3979) Backgammon: (she gets in the evelvator and presses a button)
(4009) Jim: You seem to have passed her.
(3991) Sean: "Sally - She's coming your way. drop dead gorgious in a little dress."
(3979) Backgammon: "Err.. you want me to do what exactly? Ask her for an autograph?"
(4009) Jim: +chuckle+ Yeah ask for 'To Sean, with love'
(3991) Sean: He sends a photo from the micro cam on his jacket. "Follow her. We may need to talk to her yet.."
(3979) Backgammon: We could just ask to talk to her
(3991) Sean: "Sure. Just keep our options open. We don't even know who she is yet.."
(4009) Jim: Maybe Sean should check her apartment.
(3979) Backgammon: Alright, let's see where she goes then
(3991) Sean: Moving on to her apartment...
(3979) Backgammon: (door is loicked)
(4009) Jim: (Maglock or mechanical)
(3979) Backgammon: (meanwhile, Sally hops a taxi and tells it to "Follow that car!")
(3979) Backgammon: (maglock)
(4009) Jim: (Oh sweet cliche)
(4009) Jim: (If I ever visit somewhere that has taxies I'm so jumping in one and saying that)
(4009) Jim: Lets see... wonder if it has a remote release on it.. +Begins scaning to see if it has wireless at all+
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [5,4,3,5,3,1,6,5,2,1,2,3,2,5,1,3] Hits: (5)
(3979) Backgammon: (roll 3 more times)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [6,4,6,1,3,6,5,4,1,5,5,1,5,4,2,6] Hits: (

(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [6,5,6,1,3,4,2,6,3,1,5,2,4,1,2,1] Hits: (5)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [6,1,5,2,4,5,2,2,3,2,1,5,5,6,2,6] Hits: (7)
(3979) Backgammon: (You spot the lock's hidden node)
(4009) Jim: +grins as he picks out the node. He checks through the rolodex for a moment to see if it happens to have a pass for this stored on it, and baring that will begin hacking into the lock+ Give me a minute to get you in
(3979) Backgammon: (Jim's sudden burst of cleverness pays off, as the key to the appartment was bundled in the SIN. *click* the door unlocks)
(4009) Jim: I'm going to have to find something decent to hack into tonight, this stuff is boring.
(3991) Sean: Sean skips on into the apartment. He stashes the pizza out of the way, in case she slips back and begins casing the place...
(3991) Sean: Perception Test
(3991) Sean: [11d6] => [4,5,5,6,1,6,4,1,1,3,6] Hits: (5)
(4009) Jim: (The pizza would tottally explain everything: "What where you doing in my house?" +grabs pizza+ "Oh I was just... umm.. trying to deliver this pizza..?" "Oh, ok then, thanks so much."
(3991) Sean: "And I hacked the door to get in..."
(4009) Jim: ("But that's ok, you where only trying your hardest to deliver the pizza")
(3979) Backgammon: It is a very nice appartment. Long elegant leather couches on short wooden legs dominate the living room, which has a nice view on the front street. Sleek applicances and rich decorations round the place out. Soft jazz begane playing when you stepped in and the lights turned on to an intimate dim
(4009) Jim: (Shame Jim can't see that, he'd have so many comments)
(3979) Backgammon: There is nothing of obvious interest at first glance
(3991) Sean: Keep searching... Insure that it appears someone really lives here, etc..
(4009) Jim: (By the way, I'm guessing that I didn't find any other commlinks on her?)
(3979) Backgammon: (step number 1: the fridge. It is neatly organised, with normal fridge stuff. It appears the it sees regular use (half empty milk, juice, etc). There are plenty of fruits and vegetables, including strawberries which you stare at for a few seconds. You don't have much else except soy and krill in YOUR fridge.
(3991) Sean: He takes takes one strawberry, just one... Ok two.. But just two,,,
(3979) Backgammon: You slowly bite into it, its soft flesh and juicy taste filling your mouth
(3979) Backgammon: there is some chocolate and whipped cream, too
(3991) Sean: "You Rbeally shbuould teeasste these.."
(4009) Jim: Taste what?
(3991) Sean: "Oh nothing... Where was I?"
(3979) Backgammon: Yeah Sean, you sure you still on assignment?
(4009) Jim: Your eatting that pizza arn't you? Gezz, do that after you leave.
(3991) Sean: "Ok, it looks like she really lives here..." Check the freeezer.
(3979) Backgammon: Mmm, fudgesickles.
(3991) Sean: Dig around, look for hidden stuff...
(4009) Jim: (Wasn't tarantula supposed to show up at some point?)
(3991) Sean: People always put their valuables in the freezer for suome reason..
(3979) Backgammon: (possibly.. doesn't really matter)
(3979) Backgammon: The freezer is empty of valuables
(3991) Sean: Ok, move on to another room. Optimize the time
(3991) Sean: Quick cupard check then on to the bedroom..
(4009) Jim: +Runs a scan for any other wireless singles in the apartment, ignoring the appliances+
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [6,6,6,2,5,1,5,1,1,1,6,1,6,3,6,3] Hits: (

(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [4,6,2,4,2,5,1,5,5,6,2,6,6,5,4,4] Hits: (

(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [2,1,6,4,2,5,3,6,1,3,3,1,3,6,2,4] Hits: (4)
(4009) Jim: [16d6] => [2,5,3,4,5,4,1,5,3,6,3,5,2,4,3,6] Hits: (6)
(3979) Backgammon: Moving on to the bathroom, rosy pot-pourri emanates a distinctive girly smell, soft carpetting and plush looking things
(3979) Backgammon: (jim - nada, except applicances)
(4009) Jim: (Alright)
(3979) Backgammon: (cupboards seem normal, glasses plates and stuff. The bedroom has a Queen size, white linen on a black wood box. She has an impressive walk-in closet
(3979) Backgammon: In the walk in, you find a polished and slightly curved dagger, some physical books, candles and herbs
(4009) Jim: +Sets up an agent to slow hack the control node for the room. Leaving the agent with the following programs: analyze, exploit, stealth, spoof, sniffer (-1 responce speed)
(3991) Sean: Now we're talking... (( Wish I could perceive ))
(3979) Backgammon: Guys, our target just got out of her cab, couple of blocks from here. Looks like she just got into a nightclub of some sort, upstairs
(4009) Jim: (Does the SIN happen to mention what spells she knows along with her being awakened?)
(3991) Sean: (( What are the books? Any blood candles? ))
(3979) Backgammon: You eye the candles, and as far as you can tell, they look like they are regular candles. There are three hard cover books: "The Book of Shadows", "Drawing Down the Moon" and an unnamed book.
(3991) Sean: Flip through the unnamed book.
(3979) Backgammon: (her SIN listed a permit for Stunbolt)
(3979) Backgammon: not all spells require permits)
(3979) Backgammon: (she is also a listed conjuror)
(3991) Sean: Actually, flip through all three. Catch video for later.
(4009) Jim: (I know they don't, I was just wondering.)
(3979) Backgammon: (The Book of Shadows is in english. Looks pretty straightforward and not as ominious as the title suggests. "Drawing Down the Moon" looks pretty simple too, mostly a treatise on magic. The last one is written in spirits know what language, but it has lots of illustrated images of a man and woman in sexual positions, with additionnal drawings seemingly indicating things like chakra points and other assorted mystical systems)
(4009) Jim: (Congratulations, you found a new age kama sutra book)
(3991) Sean: The video feeding through his comlink, "This is the one. The menstral blood, now this. What was the name of that old song? Blood sex magic?
(4009) Jim: No clue what your talking about, but yeah, seems like she is definetly the one we're looking for, the question now is what do we do?
(3979) Backgammon: And how does she link into Eze's disapearance?
(4009) Jim: Well, she might not, but she could know plenty of useful things.
(3979) Backgammon: She *may* not be aware he's misssing at all... any sign in there of the level of her relationship with Eze?
(4009) Jim: Like photos of him?
(3979) Backgammon: Something like that
(4009) Jim: She went into a nightclub you said? Does it look like she is meeting someone... or expecting to meet someone?
(3991) Sean: "I think it's time to move on from her apartment. Agreed?"
(3979) Backgammon: Well, she went right in, pass the bouncer. It is very early for a nightclub, though. And we are monday. I don't know what to make of that.
(3979) Backgammon: I think we are at least assured she is not a super sexy governement assassin, Sean.
(4009) Jim: Yeah, don't think we're going to find anything useful in the apartment. And that's why I asked if she seemed like she was meeting someone.
(4009) Jim: Poor Sean, his dreams dashed.
(3991) Sean: Grab the pizza and go.
(3991) Sean: "Yea, yea... She still had the book..." He snickers..
(3991) Sean: "See'll need a research assistant..."
(3979) Backgammon: Maybe she already has one
(3991) Sean: Sean ignores the nay-sayer as he heads for the elevator.
(4009) Jim: I think someone was to into that last James Bond movie. What was it? Die another day, again, tommrow?
(3979) Backgammon: No, really, maybe she already has one. Evidence of sex magick at her place, Ezequiel has written about sex magick...
(3979) Backgammon: Not the most, er, pictureable of matches, but they do share a common interest, right?
(4009) Jim: Thus my questions about her meeting someone. I have three suspisions about her and that would answer a few of them.
(3979) Backgammon: So.. should we go take a look at her in the club?
(4009) Jim: Don't think it could hurt much. If my hunches are correct, she'll be meeting someone or waiting for someone or looking for someone.
(3991) Sean: Is the club past the alley or the other direction?
(3979) Backgammon: Past the alley
(4009) Jim: (Hoping to meet our hungry shadowrunner?)
(3991) Sean: (Yea)
(3979) Backgammon: You gonna ask that guy for a date?
(4009) Jim: (Um, he didn't say anything out loud about him)
(3991) Sean: "Sally you sure sare saucy tonight!"
(3979) Backgammon: Nonesense
(4009) Jim: (Mine was supposed to be italisized, that was my bad, but I think his was just a question)
(3979) Backgammon: If we're going in there, we'll have to dress the part... shopping spree?
(3991) Sean: "I'm definitely gonna need new threads.."
(4009) Jim: What, you can't just... yeah, I guess you'll have to.
(4009) Jim: I mean, I could just get you guys on 'the list' most likely
(3991) Sean: "You want us to stick out... or bbblllleeeennnnnd with the pretty people?"
(4009) Jim: Unless 'the list' is on a piece of paper of course.....
(3979) Backgammon: You canT hack me a nice dress, darling
(4009) Jim: Actually....
(4009) Jim: Fine, go shopping, just be sure to be quick, I'm going to see how their matrix bar is.
(4009) Jim: +Goes to the nightclub's public node, getting in in the regular way, seeing what they have in the way of virtual bar+
(3979) Backgammon: (oddly enough, there is no node)
(3979) Backgammon: (which suitably piques your interest)
(4009) Jim: Weird, no public node.... That's... rare to say the least. They'd usually at least have something with a menu or ads or something...
(3979) Backgammon: No node... no publicity. So... very private club?
(4009) Jim: +cracks his knuckles, cracks his neck, and switches into stealth mode before looking a bit harder for non-public nodes they may have+
(3979) Backgammon: Or den of murder for sexy governement assassin?
(3991) Sean: Perhaps this is a good place to call it a night.. I'm starting to doze out.. Been a long day..
(3979) Backgammon: sure
(4009) Jim: I'm guessing a fetish nightclub of sorts. I'd bet most of the people there are mages into sex magic
(3979) Backgammon: i was debating on how much Sally was going to spend on clothes
(4009) Jim: Maybe we'll find out next week.
(3991) Sean: (heeheh)
(4009) Jim: I'm guessing there won't me more then 3 digits though, we don't have much spare cash.
(3979) Backgammon: *points and laughs at the poor PCs*
(4009) Jim: I want to see what happens if Sean runs into that shadowrunner.
(3979) Backgammon: love at first sight perhaps?
(4009) Jim: I think Sean is more into the assassin chicks
(3979) Backgammon: you know assassins, they do aim to please
(4009) Jim: Actually I think they aim for vital points ;P
(3991) Sean:
