The game would be held the play-by-post section of the dumpshock forums.
Turns would be one week long. As in I don't hear anything for a week, your character falls into a rabbit hole in the meantime and the story goes on.
Characters would be regular Shadowrun characters.
Start off location for the game is not Seattle but Washington D.C.
Team members will be a part of a splinter group of AEGIS. Further information on AEGIS can be found on the website
here.
The game will be an atmospheric one so please think of your characters in such a manner.
Rule of thumb: Conspiracies are based on lies and conjecture of lies. Do not believe everything. It is about the wielding of power from behind the shadows and not about brawn or even brain. Wheels within wheels.

Sounds interesting to me. I'd be happy to play in that sort of game.

Sounds interesting, count me in.
What are the chargen rules? Standard 400bp/ 750 karma gen?

4 edition character generation. Standard 400bp. Same limitations as in the BBB.
Runners Companion, Arsenal, Augmentation are in use. Unwired can be used but then with severe limitations.

So no magic, as there is no street magic on your list.
When are char proposals due?

I'm curious about this one, and second Marduc's question.

I read through the information you provided about conspiracyX. Would you be willing to provide information about just how much of it is going to carry over into this game?
and is street magic to be used in this game as well?

Sorry. I don't play mages so I forgot. Yes Street Magic is allowed, but no possession mages.
As for how much ConspiracyX in Shadowrun... quite a bit. Like with any good conspiracy it will start light and go heavy later as the weirdness level has to increase.

so has this turned into the recruitment topic for your game, or will you be posting one to the welcome to the shadows section as soon as you piece together some of the plot you'll be using?

I am still sorting out stuff for my organization. The foibles of being its chair. I will be posting a general cry for players in the proper place as soon as yes I have an idea for a plot to run. Latest by Friday.

I've never played one, so in a PbP game, what is the nature of a weekly entry for a player? Is it a series of "if this happens, I do that" statements? A conversation? A set of general orders? Can someone fill me in or point me to an example?

I suggest looking at the "welcome to the shadows" forum. It'll show you exactly what you need to know.
