Currently an M67 frag grenade costs the government about $60 in quantity of 1500, while a 5.56mm bullet costs a commercial buyer about 35 cents in quantity of 1000. So if a 35 cent bullet costs 2 nuyen.gif, a $60 grenade would cost about 350 nuyen.gif.

Unlike bullets, you can't buy frag grenades at wallmart, so there tends to be a rather large markup from people who sell them. SR also tends to make it far too easy to find people who are not trying to set you up or rip you off when you go looking heavy firepower.

IN SR you just have to wind the right "wallmart" to buy frag grenades from and most types of grenades you can actually buy from wallmart.

So THAT is what F availability means!

Only Frag,HE and WP grenades have F availability, so for those you have to find a shadow shop selling them or that corpored seller who just doesn't care that it's forbidden for you to own them.
All other kind of grenades probaply are sold at wallmart.

Description of Availability 2F:
It's "Forbidden," so while every corner 7-11 has them, they aren't in the vending machines (that's Availability 2), they're locked up behind the counter (2R). Lone Star or UCAS Army registration required to purchase (2F).

Or at least, that's how I understand availability in SR. Not that there is anything available at "2F," but it gives you an idea.

$10 per bullet? Where the hell did you get that from?

SR4 charges 35 for a fragmentation grenade, & 2 for a bullet; although perhaps not a realistically large difference, it is significant.

Just a side note... 1 Nuyen = 10 Dollars
So.... a 2 Nuyen bullet = 20 Dollar Bullet...

Just a side note... 1 Nuyen = 5 UCAS Dollars

1 Nuyen is aprox = 1 USD
So... a 2 Nuyen bullet = $2 bullet.

Inflation don't you know... I guess it is more prevalant in our game than yours
Besides, probably moot anyway as the United States no longer exists... Does the CAS use USD?
