Damn... noticed too late you were going for faces... kind of have an "uber" face... would love to play her... may submit for kicks...

Please do! This game will be fluid and if she's not in the first batch, then I may very well use her later down the line.

Just noticed a small problem with her... revision will definitly be needed as I made her for a Vegas Campaign... sure, a cardsharp grifter/face is all good in Seattle... but only if her homeground edge and knowledge skills aren't all Vegas based...

Unless she had to leave in a hurry and re-located to the seattle area.

I should mention that, while we are starting in Seattle, plan on traveling a bit during some missions...

Which still makes her useless unless in Seattle... well, somewhat...

Home ground is an edge that specifically says it's for a very specific area and would come into play in uncommon situations. Example, you can't have home ground for all of the Redmond Barrens, but perhaps the territory that is controlled by a specific gang. Maybe you grew up in that gang and so you know that area like the back of your hand because it was your neighborhood.
You will have a chance to use it, but don't expect to do so every game.
Digital Heroin
Jan 28 2004, 11:56 PM
True... now mind you my selection of Home Ground for the Bleeding Edge game was perfect... until the gang got kicked off of their turf...
I've got a query for you, would Home Ground: Casinos work? It would reflect the character's feeling most alive when in a casino atmosphere, and it wouldn't be too imbalancing... combat doesn't occur too often in a Casino, maybe negotiations or intel gathering, but their an uncommon locale...
Blitz
Jan 29 2004, 01:01 AM
If I was running a Vegas campaign, yes, it would be too unbalancing and i would make you choose a specific casino.
However, since this is NOT a vegas campaign, I would say it's suffeciently unusual.

Ok...here's the final cast of characters. Look for an IC post sometime today.
Rattler - Playing Trickster - Shaman
Shadow - Playing Trace - Mage
Buddha77 - Playing Sully - Adept
Bakatare - Playing Cowboy Jack - Decker
Dashifen - Playing PD - Detective
For those of you not initially accepted, we are still looking for some muscle and a thief. Grey...were you going to be sending me a thief still? If you have, I don't think I received it. Though I'll be starting the IC run soon, I AM still accepting characters.

I still need your character history. To this game, the history will, in many ways, be more important than the character sheet.

I know, I'm sorry, but work is freakin' killing me. I only get like 5 minutes at a time to use my computer right now and my nights are taken up getting ready to move apartments again. I will get it to you soon, because I don't want to miss out on this game. If I don't get time tonight, I'll make sure I get some tomorrow morning.

Hey Blitz, are you going to roll our starting cash?
By the way, I be Rattler under an alt. For reasons beyond my control, I'll be looking like this for the time being.
Blitz

Okie Loki (rhyme not intended)
Starting cash will be whatever you had left at character creation (no dispicable division to the number...straight leftovers)
Ill be making the starting post when I get home from work.

Loki: Just an FYI...please review the rules of levitate for speed. You aren't superman on levitate...if i remeber correcly...speed for a force 6 levitate is really only about 30 mph. I dont have my books handy, so can someone check and see if Im remembering that right?
Shadow: Time is February 15th 2062. Depending on your intro post, each of you have varying times as to when you get the message. It's up to you what time it happens.

I know. Exactly 27 mph, in fact. That's still a hell of a lot faster than I can run.

Loki...Ok...just wanted to make sure since you said fast as a bullet. Some players assume you can move very fast.
Dash...no...she will give you the address.
Loki Spirit
Jan 30 2004, 08:13 PM
I'll try to describe it better next time. Though to someone who's moving through the air without the assistance of a vehicle, I would imagine 27 mph to seem very fast.

Criminal Organizations or Arms Dealers background knowledge help out with any information on Crimson?
Blitz
Feb 1 2004, 06:57 AM
Buddha: You are able, but the end of the meeting, you think you can tell the scents of each of the others in the room, however since everyone is in such close quarters, the smells mingle a bit and you have a hard time distinguishing exactly where the distinctions lay. The same problem keeps you from getting an accurate mental state of individuals, but you dont smell anyone sweating overly leading you to believe that no one is unusually stressed or uncomfortable.
Loki: 3 successes: Crimson is healthy, she has no cyberware and is calm and professional but with an uncharistic warmth unusual in a fixer. She is mundane and her aura is new to you.
Shadow: 4 successes: same as above.
Dash: There has been some very vague rumors of a fixer named crimson. the rumors never mention sex (as in male or females, boys) or location or even details about the runs she's sponsored, but the one steady thing you've heard is the professionalism her teams seem to display.

Feb 4 2004, 01:54 PM
Blitz: If Trickster agrees to PD's offer of a place to stay, it's PD's 1 month paid Low level apartment somewhere in Seattle. That'll leave PD with only his residence in the Underground as a place to stay. Plus, that's the place he used for his last job with Alan that went south.

I'm going to throw a few knowledge skill tests at you. What do I know about the function of retinal scanners and ways to cheat them? Can I just crack the case, cross some wires, and its done? Or do I need to get a retinal device that would fake the retina of someone with valid access?

For future clarification, please don't make your own rolls. The majority of these runs will be done cinematically, so I dont want people to get wrapped up in their skill rolls. Anytime you wish to use any skill, please just post OOC the skill you are using, and the number of dice you have at your disposal. When we get into combat, you are welcome to tell me where you want your pools to be used.
You know that they are a little trickier than the standard maglock, but ultimately they can be bypassed the same way. However, depending on the quality of the device, it could be completely doable, or nigh impossible. Your best bet is to find out what they are using and familarize yourself with that model.
