If someone wants to look down on someone else, he can find a multitude of ways to do so. It doesn't need to be because someone is fat, slow or stupid.

True, but fat/slow/stupid is more readily apparent than a lot of other things. BTW, my low BOD is due to back/joint issues and borderline anorexia (physical only). Just saying ^_^

No. That is not what I was saying. Unless the weaker is so totally outclassed, he should have something that is better than the person bullying him, and he can use that edge to his advantage. So unless troll with low Str has all his other stats that are equal or worse than the high Str troll, the low Str troll is not in any danger of being "looked down" simply because he has low Str. My question (and the point) was whether most people would look down on another simply because that guy has one lower stat than themselves.

In Real Life.

In SR, when it happens, that is Prejudice.

What do you think it is in real life? It is just as much prejudice IRL as in SR...

Unless the same percentage of people in SR has the Prejudice Negative Quality as IRL, that claim is open to debate, even if it is the "dark dystopian future".

Don't NPC's still have a racism or xenophobia stat? I'm in too much pain to bother looking it up right now frown.gif

They used to. For SR4A, I have not yet finished going through the book thoroughly. The pretty pictures and new stories are so distracting (but fun).

There is nothing wrong with min/maxing as long as that is the convention of the table you are playing at. However, if you go play with a group of RPers, then min/max becomes wrong, just like if a RPer goes and plays with min/maxers, that character either holds the party back, or just dies.

Personally, I like to come up with inventive concepts and play an interesting character. I've always, personally, felt that if you need to min/max then someone is doing something wrong (or right, depending on who you ask). I don't like my games to be Nintendo Hard to the point where I have to min/max. I'll play the character that I come up with, and he'll have the stats I see him having. That's just me though. Changes in point cost won't change how I play the game.

As with anything:
YMMV
