Wraith sleeps for 3 hours (sleep regulator) and does whatever studying he can about retinal scanners, specifically ones made by Ares. I'll leave you do let me know what I figure out.

Ok. Everyone read through this and let me know of any problems. I've taken the liberty to rearrange a few things but I had to get a logical timeline going to keep us grounded. If anyone changes their post PLEASE included an Edited Tag so we know to re-read them. Also, if it's a significant change, make an OOC post as well.

Im giving everyone until Saturday evening to modify their actions or add any actions in that time period. For right now, I need to catch PD up because he's going to be getting a number of call backs. Dash, please let me know the best time for you to be online so we can get a good parley going. It'll be a lot of back and forths and I don't want the rest of the group to get too bored.

Outstanding issues that need to be resolved are the following. PD's call backs with Alex and the Detective (and PD's activities for the day), PD's gear and Sully's gear. Anything else I missed?

In the future, expect a time stamp on my posts regarding the time, and I would appreciate if you could all do the same when able. Im going to try and do this kind of recap once every two weeks or so and it will make future problems easier to deal with.

Timeline looks good from my perspective.

IC notes: 1.) I'm actually programming a frame IC, so do you want to track the amount of time I spend programming, or should I?
2.) Specific search of Ares, but like the post said, I'm assuming they would keep information on their products available to the general public. i'm not even bothering to attempt to crack into their host if the info isn't available easily. General search for specs on the specific model numbers, same numbers as before, just lemme know what I find.

You are able to come up with the general specs for all of Ares retinal scanners. They only have 3 models, your cheapy version, a fairly solid middle version and a top of the line varient that boasts it's uncrackable design.

Works for me -- the only thing is the Alex is my boss at the paper, so by your timeline I left him two messages. I think I only left him one telling him to give me a call in the morning. I'm also failing to remember who the Detective you mentined is, so I'm going to take some time to go through what I posted! I lurked to long and I forget where I was going with things!!

Blitz, I'll be around from now until about 3:30pm EST (it's about 10:00am as I post this now). So if you want to get started that works for me.

Also, I had intended to call Trace at some point in the morning, but since Trace was busy we can assume I didn't get through, got sidetracked, what ever. If we want to be mean, I could phone him at about 4:30 pm and get him back out of bed

I editted one post to remove PD's musings about his cash flow since I was mistaken about the amount of money that we had earned already. It was about 100 posts back and didn't matter anyway, but I removed it so that the IC thread would be more correct.

Since we're all going timeline happy, Blitz, it would help if you could post the amount of time it took to search when you post the information I find.

Everyone...to make matters easy, Im just going to continually update that same post with the timeline. It will grow longer as necessary but will always be an accurate resource to let you know what happened when as well as keep track of sleep, training, and projects (like jacks smart frame)

Ok..assume that you have now had them. If you spend 6 total hours studying them all, then Ill give you a -1 TN modifier if the retinal scanner is an Ares make.

If you spend less than 6 hours, then there is a chance that the model they have is one you haven't studied. Basically, there are 6 models. If you study for 1 hour, you have a 1 in 6 chance (simple 1d6 roll)..each hour increases your chance by one.

Assume that I am studying them until I get a call to meet up with everyone.

What time did you give the dat to wraith?

The earliest you could had asked Jack to search for retinal scanners would be 2:30pm. It would take a minimum of 1 hour for him to get that data, assuming he's not doing anything else. I need Jack to let me know how long it took him to return that data back to you. I believe he was also working on his smart frame at the same time.

15:00:00pm start the search, 16:00:00pm to finish, sent 16:00:01.

Therefore, your study time will begin at 4pm.

It's in flux at the moment -- my mother works in the same department as me and has been there longer. However, management is trying to crack down on nepotism. Not understanding the fact that I'm employed be a different person, report to a different person, work with other people, etc, they're still pissed because my mother has an office that's down the hall from mine. As a result, they want us to write some sort of document that shows how she didn't hire me and therefore it's not nepotism. But yesterday there was talk of letting me go since I'm just a programmer and she's the director of the department. Blah

I need to know the nature of the line you reqested...are we talking surfing, mt. climbing, biking, snowboarding, skiing, skydiving, scuba diving, etc.

I don't think we've ever specified IC where exactly the Factor Five office is. Or if we have, I don't recall it. So, PD just asks if the office is there, but since I don't know where that office is I'll let you fill in after the elipsis.

Blitz: are you going to want me to roleplay the entire interview or can I say that PD just makes small talk and kind of BS's the guy for a little bit before asking a few questions that are pertinent to the run. My plan right now is to get into the building, meet with LaBonte and ask him legitimate but boring questions, then start to probe a little bit about new product lines -- see if I can get LaBonte to punt me from him to someone else in the building who might be able to answer my more impotant questions.

just wondering... can my sleep average out to the necessary 70 hours a week... (for instance.. if I sleep, say, 14 hours one night.. can I sleep 6 the next.. ?).. how little can I get for how long before I can't function?

It's up to you. LaBonte will not give you any hints as to the line you are actually looking for. He'll give you all sorts of interesting tidbits and maybe enough to even make a good story for the currents section, but bland and uninteresting as far as top secret body armor is concerned.

On the flip side, you will get a good look at the majority of the building, including a snapshot of the R&D department as he'll lead you through to show you the latest in Bike Technology. You were even able to score a very quick glance (single picture of) the door you suspect may house the items that interest you. The door is obviously new compare to all the other doors and framework and the retinal scanner there is the only one you've seen throughout the facility.

Please post an IC post with your interview though when the time comes. It wont be until 3pm the next day so I dont want it in the IC string yet. Wait for the timeline to creep up. (it also means that Wraith will still need to study since he planned on it BEFORE you got a look at the scanner)

crechebaby...That kind of extreme is not going to work. You can make do with only 6 hours, but you'll be sleepy and distracted the same as someone accustomed to getting 6 hours a night who only sleeps for 4.

That's one of the downers about the Wyrm totem which I made sure you were aware of before accepting it. Since it's totem related and not physically required, I would simply assign the target numbers that usually apply to standard actions just to your magical target numbers.

You can make do with an hour less here and an hour more there without an issue. You can also space out your sleeping if necessary. 10 hours a day does not mean all at once. You could easily sleep for 6 hours and take 2, 2 hour naps and still meet the requirement. Think of a cat, whenever they are not actively doing something, they are sleeping.
