Nicely done Creche....I cannot do hands to save my LIFE!

Shadow...Im confused by your post a bit...are you casting Increased Reflexes +2 and force 2?
Shadow
Apr 7 2004, 04:43 PM
Sorry, @ force 2. I have the spell at Force 2.
Shadow
Apr 7 2004, 04:51 PM
Ok, now it's my turn to be confused.
What entrance did we use? I thought it was the side door, but I went back and re read your post and it is confusing. You make it sound like we went through the rear, but that isn't close to our target at all.....
Grey
Apr 7 2004, 05:14 PM
No, it was the side door. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough.

We're entering from the left of the map, right? The door closest to the front of the building. Trying to orient myself but I have no sense of direction even in the virtual world.

Ok so the plan is to get Jack into an office so her can, uhm.. jack in. While he is doing that the three of us head upstairs, Wraith defeats the security on the doors (or Jack does) Sully and Trace defeat any physical security.

QUOTE (Blitz) |
Ground Floor
2nd Floor
They are mostly color coded
Blue Doors have no maglock Green Doors have a simple lock (pin and tumbler style) Yellow Doors have a basic maglock (rating 3) Orange Doors have a good maglock (rating 6) Red Doors have no aparatus available from the outside, and serve as fire doors (ie, makes a LOUD alarm if opened) ((the large red doors are garage doors and, while not fire doors, are programed to beep loudly as a warning whenever they are opening or closing))
Black doors are guarded by a high quality maglock ( and a retinal scanner (6)
The maps are mostly to scale, but not exactly. if you need futher clarification, just ask.
Also...the white square rooms are offices and the one upstairs and just to the left of the stairs and elevator is the security office. |
Just bumping this back up to the front of the line for our referance.

If you check the maps, we entered the building into the Cafeteria. We could hide Jack in the copy room, how does that sound?
Shadow
Apr 7 2004, 06:35 PM
The copy room would probably have the correct log in points for him. Fenris, you think that would work?

I was having that same problem. Ok so were in the Cafateria, lets check out the Copy room for Fenris, then will hit the stairs and go up and get the armor. Ok now I am oriented. Phew.

Yeah, those maps are a HUGE help. I'm in the process of making maps for my new game right now. Having them just makes everything sooooo much easier.

I just need somewhere that has lines connected to the system in the building, so the copy room seems like a likely choice. Lots of networked printers and stuff.
Blitz, since you're handling everything cinematically, should I just post up to jacking in and let you give us what happens when I try to hack it, or what?

Great shading on her stomach and arms! I especially like, too, that the fireball illuminates her hand a bit, too

Good work!

Ok so since the copy room doesn't have a jack-in point what do you guys think.
Blitz
Apr 8 2004, 05:14 PM
Ok...I need to update my security issues so I need to just verify something...
People inside: Sully, Trace, Ember (astrally), Wraith and Jack...
And the only one's invisible (for all intents and purposes) are Sully, Wraith and Ember..correct?
Grey
Apr 8 2004, 05:17 PM
Wait, Trace and Jack aren't concealed in any way?
Umm.. shit. If Wraith had seen them approaching the building he would have told Trace to cast invisbility on them, or get a spirit con Conceal them or something. There are cameras to think about afterall...
Shadow
Apr 8 2004, 05:17 PM
Dammit, I knew I should have made Jack and I invisible. I think the gig is blown, but we will see.
Yeah Blitz, your assesment sounds right.
Grey
Apr 8 2004, 05:19 PM

You all are SOOOO lucky...not on of my guards got more than a 5 on perception to see you on the cameras....LUCKY!

Blitz
Apr 8 2004, 05:33 PM
creche...there are only 2 speeds in astral...speed of thought and standard movement...at the speed of thought, you would crash right through any wards without seeing them first and would not be able to take in any information as you passed through.
You'll need to take a standard path...just let me know where you are heading first.
Going to work now...no more posts from me until tonight.

Apr 8 2004, 05:43 PM
yeah, yeah. that just occurred to me.
Ember'll take the more cautious route.
She's going to go left from the team in an upward spiral (we're still on ground floor, right?) to scan for others that are present in the building.
I thought all that hoo-ha for Sully and Wraith was odd when Jack and Trace were just sauntering in.

Well, if he can't use the copy room, our next best bet would be the data storage room upstairs. Its still close to where we need to be and with the invis on him, he should be able to hide fairly well.

Ok we really dodged a bullet there. Thanks to Creche's
invaluable astral scouting we know for sure they are not on to us, and there are only a handful of guards. Stupid president grr.
I am looking at the map right now and we are coming up the stairs on the North West corner, into the lounge. Since the downstairs copy room did not have access, I doubt the upstairs will. However; I am fairly certain the data storage room will. Jack can go to work there.
This brings us to another problem. The ward. I don't know how to pass through it without setting it off. Nor, I think, can I destroy it without alerting the creator. Assuming the guards do not patrol we can hang in the data storage till Jack uploads the data. It is also possible he can open the door. We wait till he knows and then move out. If it comes down to it we will just have to blast through the ward and do a smash and gab.
Buddha72
Apr 9 2004, 06:25 PM
It depends on the type of ward. If it's an alarm ward then anything astra; passing through sets it off. But normal wards just block movement and perception of astral beings and energies. So we need to know what type. If just your standard ward, we drop spells and pass through. Turn off any foci as well. Alarm ward would mean we need to grab and book with all serious haste. Good news if it is an alarm ward, she can see through very easily and at least tell us what is on the other side.
So what type is it?

uh-ohChecking for access in the room, most preferrable would be a console that I could plug into. Second, I guess, is a fiber optic trunk/connection, third would be a remote device.
