I think it went from 4-6 per mission to 5-7 per mission, so a 20% increase, while raising a stat went up by almost 70%.

It went up more than that, I think its 6-8 base (like, it'd be hard to get less than 6, as it has a 5 base +1 for survival kind of dealy) with a maximum of 12 or 13.

*pulls out the SR4a core*

...I think I have the not-errata'd version. It says 4-5, max 10.

A little better than the one in the book I was looking at.

Hmm...
Ascalaphus
That reads as 3-15 with a normal range of around 5-8 to me.

You might also put a limit on "extra" Power points (those bought at the cost of 15 Karma) equal to the character's magic rating as well (though I do not think that there are any limits to this, I would enforce this limit for balance)... this will force the character to continue to purchase his magic up...

I've actually limited it to once per Initiation grade, not that Initiation itself isn't hard to keep lower than 15 karma per for the grades likely to show up in your average game. On that note, has anyone considered raising the cost of Initiation to reflect the raise in cost for Attribute improvement? That should slow down the awakened juggernauts a little bit..

Which still means the street sam is going to be getting more cool dice bonuses than the adept... unless, for over a dozen adventures in a row, a person doesn't make more than about 7k nuyen a mission. The first few might be lower, but...
LurkerOutThere
That is actually not factual, there is a literal limit to the amount of ware a person can cram into their body even if they are paying the hideously expensive costs of upgrading through the different ware grades. At each level things get successively more expensive. 7k a run isn't going to buy crap in beeta or even delta ware.

That was his point?
LurkerOutThere
Even 20-50k a run stops buying beta and deltaware fairly quickly.

Who said anything about buying deltaware? It doesn't take deltaware for a streetsam to advance unless he's already crammed down to .01 essence.

Pretty easy to get to .01. biggrin.gif

Ineffiicient essence logisitics is nothing to brag about nyahnyah.gif

No, I said it's pretty easy to get to .01; saying that more expensive 'ware is not important is wrong.
