Shadow: Which guard did you guys try to go for, the one you know of or the one that you can guess is probably located at the other end of the external-to-the-ward hallway?
Shadow

The guy who keeps calling to be relived, I thought he was the one guarding the external door.

Right -- there are a potential of two gaurds that could be calling for Max. One that Lynx saw and another one at the other end of the hall, assuming they have people covering both entrences to the more "secure" section of the building. You want a 50/50 shot, let me know if you want to call heads or tails and I'll just flip a coin
This image shows the guard you know about (on the left side of the secure hallway at the top) and the the one you can assume is there but you haven't confirmed (on the right across from the other).

Posted. Hopefully we're back on track now. Rolled stealth, perception, and a few opposed strength checks for Trace and Corbin as necessary. Suffice it to say apparently my guard was almost asleep when you guys creeped up behind him

Dash, I'm picturing Lynx as really nervous right now, so her eyes are most likely wandering over everything in sight trying to come up with a solution. I'd like to roll perception to see if there's any ventilation grates in the ceiling that we could get into.

QUOTE |
Ikarus waits till everyone is seated and he begins, "Well, the good news is, I was able to find more complete details concerning the layout of the place, specifically, I have the layout of the walls in the areas we didn't have before." Ikarus slides a few flimsies out onto the table,"Overlay those, red corner on the bottom left of the maps our employer gave us, and you'll have the new info on the layout. Now, I have some good news and of course, some bad news. First off, the bad news, there are no more Nerps at the apartment, that was rather disconcerting. Second, there are no fights between now and the one we're interested in. The good news is, the gym is being rented out by the two camps for practice, this presents us the opportunity to come in, pay admission and watch the sparring and hype the betting up. This also means more chances for security to get to know our faces, that's bad. We get to have a prior feel for the layout, that's good, I think. Now the special secret info I was saving cause you all look so slitching full of yourselves, the Rosseli and Caroletto Families are planning on attending the fight, not sure what to make of this. |
That's what you got on the search. So you don't know how many total. Though between all the drops you've taken out six if I remember correctly. You also know that there is at least one female guard which you haven't seen because the guard that was complaining about not getting relieved on time called out for "Shirley." So there is at least 1 guard out there un accounted for.

Hmm..good thing we didn't go in that way. Intelligence check to see if I know what it is in character: 10 05 05 04 04 01. Should I roll athletics or anything like that to climb up in there? What I'm thinking is that if my character puts together what it is, she'll go up into the ceiling and a) see if she can disconnect the pipe and b) see if she can follow the ceiling the rest of the way into the "vault."

Soluna: they're probably some form of chemical vats -- maybe an epoxy or something that has to be kept seperate to keep it safe or stable? Judging by the nozzle leading into the room you think is a chokepoint, you're paranoia tells you it's got to be bad news.
You could climb to the vats above the drop ceiling, but you can't make it to the vault. The walls extend from the floor to the actual ceiling. Give me two athletics tests followed by an electronics b/r and an electronics test. the athletics are to climb into the ceiling and them move to the vats. Then the electornics b/r to handle the vats and electronics to disable them somehow. I'll use as many of the rolls as I need.

The texturized walls remind you of the way the soles of shoes are texturized to increase friction between the shoe and the floor -- so it grips better.

Floor to ceiling. The texture starts about 1/3 of the way down the left hand wall continues around the back wall and then down the right hand wall until it stops across from where it begins on the opposite wall.

You'll need to rely on your gear this time and not the plunder from the guards. But, since all of that simply requires a few tests I can roll for you (hope you don't mind). Then, you can just edit your post:
Electronics B/R: 10 05 02 02 02 02
Electronics: 09 05 02 02
That'll do for the door (damn, was hoping I'd get you guys there

Dashifen

It's a rectangular hallway:
The texture goes from the left around the top of the hallway and back round the other side. The doors are in the center on the bottom and on the top left corner.

Dashifen
Nov 18 2004, 02:31 PM
Well that's okay then. Considering something fishy is up, but this is only the first run of a larger campaign I wrote so you don't have enough information to know what kinda fish I'm dishing up at the moment

Yes, now would be the time that sams could run in and start to mess up the world for the two people in the room.
Also, I'm on vacation from work from now until the 30th (whee!!) so I'm probably going to be down to one or two checks of the DSF while I'm out rather than every 2 hours or so like I do when I need a break from programming. Just fair warning
