Having tea right now. Admittedly with maple syrup, but that's because I'm trying to cut back on refined sugar, and scored a good supply of last year's maple syrup from family in maple country.

I usually use honey.
Xahn Borealis
I fill about half the cup with sugar. In unrelated news, I have forgotten how to sleep.

The next time I'm in a game as a player I'll force everyone through Driver's Ed tutorsofts. NEVER DEFAULT ON VEHICLE SKILLS!

I had a bad experience.

I thought the only bad experience we've had so far was me ramming face first into the Free Candy van for 3P damage.

from family in maple country.

Is that the main continent in Maple Story, or Canada?

I meant IRL driving.

Canada. The Ottawa Valley to narrow it down a bit more. Mom got to go out and visit the "Sugar Shacks" and enjoy some childhood memories.

Damn straight! I think I have the DVD somewhere, I'll have to watch it again to get the character down pat. And it fits John Q. Public to a tittle!

That is cool. Much in the style of SR2 IMO.

This has to be one of the ONLY places on the Internet you can say "tittle" without getting flak for it. I <3 Dumpshock!

Well, I'm sure that at least someone on the IntraWebs knows that the "T" in "Fits to a Tee" means Tittle.

It's the dot above the lower-case "i" and "j", by the way. It means everything done properly. "All the tee's crossed and eye's dotted." is a more modern version.

And I'm channeling TAfH right now... He scares me. A lot.

TAfH?

For the record, I did know what a tittle was (though I didn't know about "fits to a T")
CanRay
TAfH = The Accountant from Hell.

I got tired of writing out the whole name. nyahnyah.gif Or flashed back to the old days of BBSes and their limited typing space. Can't remember which.

Stereotype of traumatic flashbacks is the "Shell Shocked Vietnam Veteran" screaming that out.

And never give up. It just makes you look guilty when they catch you with all the stolen paydata. nyahnyah.gif

I have a time machine and a memory-eraser-ray.

Finally got to see "Drive Angry", which someone suggested for my "The Accountant From Hell" as there is a character that literally is an Accountant from Hell in it.

Standard Nick Cage fare, but yes, I do have to agree, a good example of how I should play the character.

"How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Lesbian Elf Stripper Ninja?" "The world may never know."

I need this as a 400BP character for a one-shot intro to shadowrun. That's just fantastic.

Then there was Captain Jack. Oh good ol' Captain Jack, how I miss you. The only character my GM ever had committed to an insane asylum and still be considered a PC (Admittedly on heavy medication.).

One of the best pilots around in the Star Wars universe, able to pull more from his ship than could even be dreamed. He wasn't Han Solo and she wasn't the Millennium Falcon, but they did many great things. Only one problem.

The ground.

It seemed like he was ill fated to always crash, no matter what. Forests, plains, a mountain, an ice sheet... Man I miss those days...

Hopefully I'll have some Shadowrun stories of my driving mishaps for you folks, considering my luck with operating vehicles.

This was a way back in the current thread, but I found it funny so thought it worth mentioning. While playing the Firestorm series of adventures for Cyberpunk 2020, my brother was playing a runner character who got nicknamed Launchpad McQuack for his ability to crashland any aircraft he set foot in. One particular mission while running around a jungle, he was providing air support in a 65,000,000EB Fighter Jet. He fumbled first turn in the air and started to plummit. Fumbled his recovery roll and had to eject while the jet crashed, then on landing, proceeded to also fumble 4 straight navigation rolls while trying to find the team and ended up just lost in the jungle somewhere. Eventually we had to go and find our 'support' and tell him the job was done and it was time for home smile.gif
