Ryu, rigged vehicles that you're riding in, then. My point is that you always have to trade something for something. You're not interested in that trade (and maybe for good reasons), but somebody is interested in it, that's all.

Yes, and I expressed that I´m not impressed by that route and that there are better ways to become a metal man. And If you DO become a jarhead, your body IS a drone and therefore can be rigged.

Becoming a biodrone via Stirrup should be possible, there is even a rumor of some Proteus execs being "jumping jacks" in the fluff part of Augmentation. I´d require a Delta-clinic for that, and any buyer would face MBW costs without rebate.
I can live with reacting faster to your surroundings while a high-end processor is wired into your brain functions (VR-mode, jumped in). At 15k for a SimSense Accelerator plus 65k for a SimSense Booster plus 45k for a Stirrup (base cost, ask your GM) you can have 4 physical IPs (5 IP minus 1 piloting IP). 125k base, 3 essence base, 4 IPs, -1 to pools, hackable. Not bad at standard grade, more expensive than Synaptic-3 on higher grades. I´m not interested myself, but would not see trouble if others wanted to walk that way.

When rigging a biodrone through a stirrup interface you're basically shutting downn the stirruped's motor impulses to replace them with the controler's one. So if you're rigging your own body, the nerve centers that you're supposed to use for the direct rigging are those same that are disabled to allow the rigging to work in the first place... That doesn't strike me as something that can work so I'd disallow rigging your own body.

Let me repeat for safety that I am mechanically not a fan of the idea.

You have a controller and a body. If rigging yourself provides a benefit, the rig plus your brain have better control over your body than your unenhanced brain. I can take that. The way of control (MBW) is after all already technical.
