Well, I hit a couple forums and got 2 confirmed new backers. Hopefully more who didn't bother replying to the threads.

And possibly that was because I posted this:
<THIS IMAGE>
THIS PERSON WANTS YOU TO SUPPORT THIS PROJECT!!!

Funny thing is I didn't support SRR. I'll get it, no doubt, but it was already fully funded (and then some), so wasn't a priority. Meanwhile, I've never played an MMO, but I've backed this for as much as I possibly can, and would drop more if I could, just because this is a thing that DESERVES to happen. I'm cynical of most kickstarters, some are well meaning pipedreams or opportunistic at best and leveraging the cult of geekdom for free money at worst. But these guys have put up cash, taken out mortgages JUST to lay the ground work, and the work they've done already... words can't express how perplexed I am about why a project as polished as this is struggling. And SO MUCH SWAG!

Seriously if I had the $10K to spend, I'd drop it in a heartbeat and use it to make the band my players formed CANON rockstars. That would be awesome.

Redjack
At 42 hours it was nearly 31% yet to go. Now at 32 hours to go, it is a little more than 27% to go. We need to double-down, literally, to make it.

It will be a shame if we don't make it as the game really looks to have potential.
Stahlseele
That it does.
For instance, it could allow CanRay to actually play instead of having to GM . .
Sangius
CanRay playing? We are living in mad times. Also: another 150k to go, if you haven't backed yet - there is no time like the present wink.gif
Iduno
You people made me sign up for kickstarter! But yeah, I'm in.
Draco18s
I got one person as a new backer, and upped my own pledge.

Have a friend who should be backing, but isn't. I went from $35 to $66 (getting the co-op package, figuring I could drag him in later and guilt him).
Sangius
Only a drake-like mind would come up with such a sinister plan wink.gif

Also: Thanks for your contributions!

I'm sorry, have we not met before?
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Draco. And no, that moniker is not an accident.

Aaron
I've upped my pledge, now up yours! Wait, that didn't go quite right ...

SRO will be a great way to play Shadowrun, period. Fans from around the world will be able to play the game together, with the same kind of persistence that Missions tries for and MMOs get. I've gotten to play the test versions, and it's fun, fast, and definitely Shadowrun. When this comes out it will be my video game of choice when I have down time, and it will be worth every penny we invest in it.

So go check it out if you haven't and then make those few extra clicks it takes to tell your friends and support the game.

Thanks.

I upped my pledge last night. I hope we make it!

23% now. Looking for a few avenues to advertise in that haven't been saturated already.
Stahlseele
someone actually went and pledged 10k O.o

Ketchup?
Stahlseele
by now, 3 people have pledged 10k each.
almost normal
If in 12 hours, it still hasn't hit the mark, I'll put in around the 60 range. It's still gonna suck, but whatever. It's shadowrun. I paid 60 dollars for that pile of crap that was ST:O.

I did more than that... I bought a lifetime sub to ST:O

I'd do a similar contribution except after ST:O and Hellgate: London, my wife watches my video game expenditures and would veto this one if I went that high.

I hope it doesn't suck as bad as ST:O much less Hellgate: London.
Stahlseele
i'd try to go for the life time subscription . . but i want my swag and that one is an all digital <.<

At least you didn't buy a lifetime subscription to Champions Online (and put myself in hock to afford a twelve-hundred-dollar computer that would run it on max settings) ... only to see the Launch Day Patch come along and nerf players universally by 30%. Yes, universally - every power, every attribute, every framework. Wall-to-wall 1/3 erf, all because a special few hardcore players hit the level cap during the 72-hour headstart - having learned, during the open beta, exactly where would be perfectly optimal for levelling, and then playing 24 hours a day for three days straight.

...

Me, bitter? Yeah. Betcherass I am. mad.gif

Ooof. I nearly went the same route, except my ex-gf squashed it outright. I'm glad she did. I was hoping for Star Fleet Command/Federation Commander type action. The Beta showed promise of slightly dumbed down type action, but when the full game hit, the ground combat was just terrible. I couldn't stand it, and whatever tactical notions they had were scrapped to appeal to the LCD.
Sangius
Around 70k to go in 19 hours. It's quite possible, but we can't be certain yet. Any contribution counts and is highly appreciated! smile.gif

I wish the wife had stopped me. I also talked 2 friends into buying them. We all sit around at lunch together at work and pick on each other for it.

That said I was able to go for a $66 CO-OP package... so if the game only kinda sucks... I can still play my own server or whatever that is with 2 close friends who love Shadowrun.
Draco18s
Getting close, oh so close.
So close I'm wondering if I should stay up to see it go under 50k left before I go to bed.
Sangius
Less than 52k to go with 15 hours left. If you haven't poked your friends and social networks yet: Try to do it now, we are really not that far away any more ...
Draco18s
Less than 50k! Bed time for me.

I've already poked everyone I know who even has the slimmest interest in Shadowrun.
Sangius
The last 13 hours are running now with about $44,000 to go. I'll, sadly, be gone those last 13 hours, but there are plenty of nice people over at shadowrun.com/kickstarter to chat with and get information from. Every dollar counts!
DuckEggBlue Omega
Checked a currency converter and it turns out I had enough set aside to go up another teir.

There's alot to be said for a weak US Dollar.
Stahlseele
i know right?
one dollar is only 80% of one euro right now!
DuckEggBlue Omega
Almost there, just need $5,249 in 6 hours.

WHOO HOO!
Bigity
While I'm not personally a backer of this, mostly due to the MMO thing (I have one of those and it's enough), I am glad to see it get fully funded.

My morning looked like this:

Wake up, check SRO. $483,000.
Get a glass of milk. $484,000.
Check email. $485,000.
Tell mom how crazy fast it's been the last few days. $486,000.
Drive to work. Check SRO. $503,000.
VykosDarkSoul
I am really glad this made it, even if i couldnt donate this time, as much as i wanted to.
(unfortunatly mortgage comes first frown.gif )

But i will definatly be getting this at the first opportunity i have!

Great job all!
DuckEggBlue Omega
Knowing there are still people who want to grab the game after launch is a good thing for CliffHanger.
CanRay
Now I'm wondering if the Dragon-Level donators get a kitten to eat as part of their kicking in...
Stahlseele
Especially since there will be a boxed set . .

OK, ok, damn you, you got me, i pledged 275$ . . I HATE YOU ALL FOR MAKING ME DO THIS!

You're a gambler on a level I'll never comprehend.
Stahlseele
neither will i i'm afraid <.<
Murrdox
I'm excited to see that the Kickstarter met its goal. Congratulations you guys. I'm looking forward to playing this thing next year!
Stahlseele
and it's still climbing somehow, even when it looked like they might not make it at all some hours again
Dr.Rockso
Kicked in myself about an hour ago.
Critias
It's awful nice to find this backed, rather than to see it not making it, while I'm going through the last of my GenCon preparations. Puts me in a great, geeky, positive, mood for this trip to Indy!
