QUOTE (Lucyfersam)
The base description for a great western dragon gives it 20 hardened armor, normal westerns have 12, great's get +8.

Actually, normal Western Dragons have 8, and a Great Dragon either has 12 or adds 12. Because a GD gets so little extra Body (+10), I've always interpreted the entry to mean that generic GDs have 12 armor. Go whichever way you like with it -- if you give Great Westerns 20 armor, then the Polearm troll is at a disadvantage as he has to pump STR very high, but the dual cyberimplant troll still fares fine.

How's he get to 30? I don't mean to be an ass here, I'm genuinely curious. I've read through most of the 3rd edition books, but I'm really out of practice. As I said initially, I assume I'm missing something. At first I thought it was Dikote, but that doesn't seem to be enough.

Adept power Boost Strength +6, Hand Blade +3, Ambodextrious x1.5 = 36?
Shockwave_IIc
Anybody got a link to the Wall hacker??

Erm goes like this, Cyclops with bonus attrib 13 +5 from Bioware (Aug and thyriod) 18 +50% due to dual Weapons (closecombat section BBB) +1 due to dikote. So were sitting at....28 and i havent really tried.

Thanks for clarifying. I poked around and found the twink thread. Yep, that's sick alright... nyahnyah.gif

And if your uber troll can't cut it, build a vehicle with mechanical arms.

And that really cuts down the Twist Fate power... Now if only the vehicle can hit the dragon.

Okay, how about a list of things that can (theoretically) kill great dragons:

1. Heavier naval scale weapons (probably my preferred and most likely choice).
2. REALLY strong metahumans with ridiculous combat skills (and I am talking truly ludicrous here).
3. Nukes, Thor shots, etc, although I guess you could class those as a kind of naval weapon.
4. Very very very fast moving vehicles.
5. Asteroids, volcanoes and the like.
5. Other great dragons.

Eh.. Anything else? smile.gif
Kagetenshi
Immortal Elves in large groups, presumably.

Zeel De Mort
Yep, that should do too.

We should possibly add the Blood Mage Gestalt onto that list as well.
toturi
A mutant toxic adult dragon in its toxic domain.

Accoding to the Earthdawn Dragons PDF, a pack of Wyverns has taken down a Great Dragon, IIRC.
Ancient History
A dragon. Not a Great, as I recall.
Garland
And it seems to be implied that wyverns are adolescent dragons anyway.
Kagetenshi
Suggested as a possibility. Implied seems too strong, IMO.

Wow, that got off track. But I have one question about the first page or two of responses-

everyone seems to accept Fastjack as the decker-supremo. Yes? But I had always gotten the impression that he was #2 at best, and that no one was better than the Dodger.

What am I missing?
Kagetenshi
The fact that Dodger has an AI for a girlfriend.

Yeah, I never got the impression that the Dodger was all that hot. Now, Morgan - Morgan makes him hot.
BitBasher
I have never, ever gotten the impression that dodger was close to FastJack. In fact, in Brainscan when the otaku invaded the chat channel and started boothing deckers Dodger went fairly early while the last three people in the room were if I recall FastJack, Megaera and Capn Chaos(I think). Dodger just ate it while FJ opened a can of whoopass with his custom attack utility, the JackHammer. (And man, I like that name for some reason biggrin.gif)

Dodger's no slouch, but it's mainly the company he keeps.
