Mickle, the cameras trace back to nothing. Each wanders off to somewhere in the matrix, as if through a normal (or in one case more sophisticated) feed route, then dead end. Again, it seems to fit with tech that has outlived it's usefulness and just doesn't know it yet. The cameras get hacked eventually, some easier than others, and the loop is set.

How many vehicles, and what types, are you looking to rent? Anything else you are planning to do in the short tie before meeting up with the fixer?

Caliph will do a map recon of the house, preparing for his physical recon once he gets his stuff off the boat. He suggests two cars. BTW, I broke my shoulder last night, so I will be few and far between on posts.

I was suggesting our hacker hack the rental car company and sign out two cars, list them out for maintenance, disable the call home/tracking/GPS/whatever and we working it like that...
Mickle5125
Sep 15 2009, 09:47 PM
Dingo would likely add a motorcycle to the "rental" list...

fistandantilus4.0
Sep 17 2009, 06:51 PM
Your arrival is in the afternoon, appx 1500. The meet is at 2200.
Hacking an authorized rental should be cake for a serious hacker, so no need to roll for that unless you want to do something beyond a rental that looks legit, buthas fake info and costs you nothing.

It's gotten much better since the weekend. I had surgery on Friday, and it's finally getting to where I actually do stuff. It'll still be at least 3 months before I can do a push up, but that's life.

Make good use of the down time then. There will always be more push ups ahead.

I'll put up my post on Caliph on London tomorrow, so others have a chance to chime in on what they're doing, and if anyone needs Caliph to get anything.

Ok, I'm going to delay making the post at the moment so that the exciting combat sequence isn't interrupted by a cut scene to the other guys.
"So, I arranged a sedan and a van for you two and a bike for me. They'll be waiting just outside the neighborhood. And now, I'm bored."
"yup."
"Think Caliph wanted me to keep an eye on him as I could?"
"Nah, I'm sure he's fine."
"yup... wanna watch some tv?"

Does Caliph have cyber eyes? If so, if he feeding to TeamNet?
Caliph does have cybereyes, but since we're not up on a TACSOFT and since we're running kinda paranoid right now I don't think he'd have an open matrix connection yet. His next free action (esp. if the situation gets hotter) would be to call for help.
fistandantilus4.0
Oct 3 2009, 11:06 PM
Well it's your action ATM. You're lucking out a bit here, because of the cyber. In Seattle, you could count on a couple of the common gangers maybe having some second hand boosted reflexes or wires. These guys are all meat.
Yeah, but the cyber doesn't let me run faster. At least the way Caliph's thinking right now (he is, after all, arrogant) he could tear them apart if he goes weapons free, but he's not confident in two-on-one melee and having people show up in the morgue with a faceful of flechettes is probably bad for discretion. He ain't in the squeeze no more (and would still be cautious even if he was.
Oh, BTW, Redjack, that character sheet format is really cool.

sonuva... Sorry! So very sorry!
ok, so that annoying week was immediately built upon by everyone throwing everything right back onto the pile. Plus it may or may not have included a complete meltdown of my brain. Cardiology tests were involved.
But! I freed myself of the sanity-sapping mess and have returned to DS after far too much time away.
Regarding cars. Unless you two have preferences otherwise, I'm assuming that Dingo arranged for an average car, a bulldog van, and a bike for himself to make themselves available.
Once again, I apologize for my absence. But I'm back now. And I'm even ready and willing to contribute!

Good to have you. We've all been a bit slow this week, on top of our usual, so no harm done. Dingo's enough of a hack (*snicker*) that he can manage that under a faked rental. So yes, you have rides, assuming you can get to them. They don't "deliver" to the Squeeze, although they could drive themselves nearby.

Hey guys, sorry for the absence. THigns are really returning to any kind of normal here, but at least we're getting accustmed to the new pace.

OK, where we're at:
Rental ars acquired, one currently in use. Nyx is picking up Caliph. To confirm - the hacker's with them as well, yes?
Headed for the sit down with the Fixer, and possibly a few words with the team that went before.
Questions, comments, concerns?
Moving on?
