Everyone has different tolerances for this sorta thing. I've seen groups that usually get along great, and have done well gaming with each other for months, suddenly fall apart and everyone hates everyone else in real life, because party infighting got out of hand. I've also seen groups that probably would have been better off just breaking up, instead what happens are some of the disgruntled players organize on the side with the intention of extracting revenge on the characters of the players, regardless if its the same character as before, that pissed them off by killing their original character.

A lot of crap can be 'justified' as 'roleplaying'. "I've got an <evil alignment/vindictive flaw/backstory> that makes this alright to completely screw over the group! Or more specifically, THAT person in our group!"

Another time there was some serious competition for a hot chick and so one of my characters took C12 and rubbed it into the other guys hair while he was sleeping. The next day the runner was using an electric curling iron for his extra long hair and.....

I wonder if this would really work. The imagery is hilarious.

Are group does a lot of verbal abuse back and forth, which is normal, we did have a situation in which 3 characters were taken in by the cops. They were brought up on charges for murdering a civilian. They were looking for their mark I rolled luck dice and rolled 3 ones 1 1 1. So I gave them a guy that looked very similar, same case and everything, turned out to be an undercover agent. Needless to say it all went down hill. 2 characters went down with little fight, thinking they could talk their way out of it. The phys ad of the group decided to fight and run. The Phys Ad goes thru 3 cops, jumps off the top of a 4 story building, taking a light. proceeds to steal a car, drives it into a river, swims up stream 2-3 miles. I rolled luck dice and again 3 ones. ( not their lucky day) Random cop catches him. Ending tally came to about 7-8 cops and 2 stolen vehicles one of which was a cop car. While in custody the female mage testified against the Phys Ad to reduce her sentence. Saying he was crazy. Months later in home campaign and after a 5 year jump, Mage was let go, the Phys Ad who was an elf serving multiple life sentences and had created a troll gang in jail, escapes. shortly after. Tony had been playing his mage for a short time being out of jail and excited to roleplay is original character, while Nick brought back his Phys Ad. A lot of roleplaying went between them, Nick not acting bitter towards the somewhat betrayal. One run Nick decided to out right shoot the Mage in mid jump with his sniper rifle, the mage took a deadly and then another deadly when he hit the ground. The rest of the team killed the Phys Ad, due to the fact there was no tolerance for that crap on a serious SR team. It was great. In the end they still had to make new characters.

PC Infighting...

I think we had some...and oh, got a very funna yet nasty event once...with fatalities *gg*
My main Group is family now, for every single one of them. But the road to achieve this was kinda...hard so to speak. there was more than one incident when we tried to beat the crap outa ourselves...for my turn it was when my character found out, that his female team partner had more than just a mexican looking *gg* ex-aztec-girls are no fun when you try not to hurt them 'cause you like them but they try to kill you for knowing their secret. :)=

the other ...."incident" was fun. well, not for the other players, I assume. Me and a good friend of mine played in a foreign group with new characters. We got a job to kill some yaks. too bad both of our siblings had a level 2 connec with some yakuza guys. bad job,GM! we showed up and well, what can I say, 2 Grenades later the job was history (as well as the other characters (one shapeshifter, oh how I loved to whip those guys' ass!!), the johnson, the interior, etc.)...we spent most of the evening arguing together and decided to play the chars...it was fun after all:)

My old ork character and an elf run by a friend of mine were on the way back from a run. We were jokingly insulting each other (adding a comedy element to the game) when the other player got offended and tried to attack me. His mistake (I was faster and stronger than he was). I ended up knocking him unconscious and taking him to my street doc who I paid to keep him sedated and restrained for a while. I went to the Yakuza and borrowed enough money from them to implant a cranial nuke in the offender's skull. It's not good to be in debt to the yaks, but at least I taught the little daisy eater a lesson.
