Hell yeah, CP had all the style I sometimes miss in Shadowrun. Those funky little cybernetics implants that were roleplay-only ... that's something I really miss about Shadowrun. I know, I know, SOTA introduced some, and there's this tight Essence limit, but still, it just added to the whole atmosphere. Grab a Chromebook, and half the items are for roleplay, not enhancing some or another stat. Shadowrun's sourcebooks add a lot more ... performance-oriented stuff. Some like that over CP, but I am definitly not one of them.
Where were those chromebook conversation tables again?

You mean Mr Studd? I bet that Mr Studd would bring in well over 10 time more money in sales than the best reflex enhancing technologies, if such things existed.

When I first saw those I wondered who in his right mind spends money on cyberskates. Billionnaire cyberzombies, I guess. Or Wile E. Coyote.
It's still more sane than the cyber tail, though.
There comes a point when you must ask yourself if it should be done just because it can be done. What mad scientist worked on the cyber tail? And which even madder corporation suit sponsored his work?!? I can't conceive of a very wide market for cyber tails (and cyber skate for that matter) that would justify research in those 'promising areas of human development'.

Not just the Mr Studd (flavor text: "All night, every night, and she'll never know. Use your imagination and add +2 to Seduction checks. Also available in the Midnight Lady version, for the distaff side.") but the cyberpillow that pops out of your cyberarm (for comfort on those long stakeouts!), the fluorescent tech-hair, an option for your cybereyes to display video imagery of the person you're talking to being savaged by wolves...

I think that house rules pertaining to the fuel capacity and start-up attempts of chainsaws (modified by the PCs Chainsaw skill) would be rollicking fun. Imagine the squeals of laughter around the table as you try to get the chainsaw started up.

There are 4 of them, labeled chromebook 1-4.
Also, there was a re-issue, with #1 and #3 in one book each.

I'm pretty sure that most modern chainsaws use electric starters. Many are completely battery powered. Sure, the traditional pullstart chainsaw has more flair but the electric starters are much safer and much more efficient. It is also probable that the battery powered chainsaws are just as good as gasoline powered saws by the 2060s.
The real question is, ofcourse, is this a generic chainsaw or a competition chainsaw?
For an interesting character, try an Athletes Way who is a professional competetive lumberjack.

I guess its all about the setting in your game. Flesh masks wouldn't fly in my campaign. Nor would chainsaws. But more power to the deathrock ganger battle-fest you got going on.

I was quite amused by this post, since in my current campaign, we've got a troll named Bubba who just picked up a chainsaw for "recreational" use. I'm not sure if he'll use it in "stealth mode" though. ^_^
