You actually have a list of unrecognized signal contacts.
You can begin to try to identify them by intercepting traffic across those various signals or using you drone sensor net (the fly-spies you have deployed) plus an analyze program to triangulate their position. Once they are in visual range, you can cross reference the results from the analyze to physical contacts and actually tag specific signals to individuals or vehicles.

Looking at your character sheet, you don't have an analyze program and out here in BFE, you have no Matrix connection to buy one online. Guess its time for a fall back plan.

Memory serves that seating is as such:
Jake: Front driver
Carter: Front Passenger
Rex: Rear Driver
Black Fist: Rear Middle
Grayson: Rear Passenger.
I also believe everyone is inside and Jake is now smelling the pleasant sulfur smells of the ash and Hell Kitchens as the windows are down. The team is less than 500m north of the landing site and the enemy assault team is ~1km west of the site and jogging towards it.

Works for me.
When Carter reaches the ditch, drop low and take cover. Begin sneaking down the ridge line towards the knot of trees.
Stealth 8d6.hits(5) → [1,4,1,1,5,5,6,3] = (3) Damn that was almost a glitch.

Sorry RJ, didn't think there was much to be said regarding Rex's actions tbh. He's basically a guard, ready to intervene with his SMG at any opportunity.
I'd say he's keeping watch of the AR feeds as well as keeping a close eye on everything visually. His own visual abilities excede any other piece of equipment so he counts on that mostly. A -1 or -2 distraction penalty would make sense since he's keeping watch of more than one source of information at a time, namely AR feeds and his own (cyber)eyes.

Spencer's car is tracking at 0.5 kilometers north coming around on the road on the east side. ETA: < 1 minute

Some fighting action, cool! Except that the msot scary opponent is somehow missing from our radars. This is troublesome considering we're out of magical cover, hence he might be invisible... I fear for the worst.

I will elect to dodge for sure. My understanding is that those dice will be applied on the first attack, and the other attacks are resolved against only reaction as normal, right? Also, by dodge ranks, you mean dodge + ag or just the dodge skill?
And if I dodge, I suspect it would be behind the vehicle. Do I still receive the three other shots after that? I guess that the answer might be yes for concerns of game mechanics and balance, but it's not that obvious to me why this would be.
Sorry for asking all those questions, I'm not trying to argue or anything, just making sure I understand the rules correctly.

No. The dodge dice go into your pool. The attribute for countering in combat is reaction.

The 'fluff' effect of your dodge will be ducking into the ditch. All shots are considered "simultaneous" and all must be dealt with.

I'll spread my dodge between the two shots which have 2 hits.
6d6.hits(5) -> [3,6,5,4,2,1] = (2)6d6.hits(5) -> [6,5,5,1,2,5] = (4)4d6.hits(5) -> [3,4,6,2] = (1)4d6.hits(5) -> [4,4,6,5] = (2)Guess things turned out all right. I figured I might have been able to take the damage with my high Body and good armor, but this time Rex was fast enough (wow!).
Notice I wouldn't have needed to use dodge with the dice I threw!!
EDIT:
Okay, I guess I got things wrong. You've used all 8 dice of the pool, and then -1 per following roll to dodge? Anyway, I guess it worked out so whatever. I really need to reread the ranged combat section in the main book.
