Blut & Spiele got released in german - adventure module containing not only 3 new adventures centered on urban brawl, but also a short primer abour the game, the german league and info on all 32 german teams (including important players, logo, and stuff like that). It's a nice addition to the "Playing Ball"-chapter.

Four, actually. Each highlighting a different aspect of the sport - the merchandising, the feel of a brawl zone, the number of ex-runners among the players, and finally the game's deep ties with organised crime.

Also, it is good. Really good. I'm more and more in favor of the German team to just ignore anything from America and do their own thing, adopting only what is not totally toxic (byebye, War and Attitude) ... because they do know how to produce great books. Not just good, but with that little extra touch that makes a good product great.

is this module available to buy outside of Germany?

Not sure, but Pegasus' online hop seems to have an english-language section. Don't know if they deliver overseas, though. If they do, expect a stiff price. And the book already isn't cheap at €34,95. Well, at least it's hardcover and has stickers of all German UB teams as an extra.

They seem set to produce more themed adventure books, btw. That's something that seems to sell well in the German market - the material for the dominant fantasy game here, DSA, is about 90% canned adventures. Hope they keep quality up as it is right now. At least, there's loads of fun details in thse adventures, and they don't contain too dire logical breaks or forced assumptions ('everybody loves facebook and every shadowrunner craves to regisert there') either.

sadly, when i asked one of the officials at nordcon, i basically got a resounding NO as an answer to my question wether or not something like Blood and Games is planned for CombatBiking too ;_;

Pity. Especially since that might actually be a selling point for Attitude's translation. Though I'd like it even better if the German add-ons were available as a pdf. I wouldn't have to buy turds like War then for the fairly decent German add-on.

Have I already said I hate you Germans?

Machine Moskwa totally sold out to Evo, btw. And the Warsaw Warmachines hate them, like the other four Polish teams on the Teuton Cup, which btw also features prison-based teams so that at least some games get actual kills.

Too bad S-K rigged the 2073 Teuton Cup so that their Centurions win the game. For the image, see. And because Lofwyr things fantasy-based symbolism goes well in election campaigns.

And yes, you mentioned that once, maybe. grinbig.gif

Maybe fanslations are in order, if Pegasus has no plans to translate them themselves?

For what it's worth, on the American front I went out of my way to coordinate with our German counterparts where Blut & Spiele was concerned, as I was working on the CMP adventure Super Brawl Sunday. SBS will first and foremost be a standalone adventure, but it also works as Bull and I trying to sneak a bit more Urban Brawl in in Attitude's wake, with a league update, the basic rules of the game, information on the positions, and some Urban Brawler NPCs all included. I got a sneak peek at a few of Blut & Spiele's goodies in advance (making sure our NPCs were comparable, checking that there had been no big rules changes included in their book, etc) and -- translation difficulties aside -- the artwork alone was amazing.

Also, I REALLY want to work with an artist to create some logos. At the very least, logos for the two teams involved in the 2073 Super Brawl. I love the stickers/patches/whatever thing that Pegasus did, and would KILL to see more of that sort of thing.

Seriously, if CGL would let me, I'd have a whole line of Missions related Merchandise... logo stickers and T-Shirts, for one. I also want to redesign and update the Knight Errant Logo and do things like these Urban Brawl logos for the North American teams. But then again, I'm a complete sucker for secondary Merch.

It is, indeed. You really should consider translating at least the general info in Stadtkrieg, maybe adding the Anerican league, for a pdf release. Maybe together with the brawl CMP?

On a side note, the 2010 CMP are still intended to be relesed *sometime* are they?
Bull
Yes. I'm hoping we'll have them ready to do something with once Gen Con or Dragon*Con is over. With everyone in full on panic mode getting both the cons and last minute print/PDF releases ready, I suspect that most of my stuff will get back-burnered for a bit. Except for the SRM's. I'm REALLY hoping to have 04-03 through layout this weekend, and maybe get it released early next week, but... Might get knocked back to after Origins frown.gif

Any references when those cons are? Not being in the American loop, I'd be glad for some dates.
Bull
August and Early September, I think. (I never get to do Dragon*Con, as it's 750 miles south of me, and coming right on the heels of Origins (In June) and Gen Con (In August), I just can never afford it).

Thanks.

Dragon*Con is always on Labor Day Weekend
