Well, all I can say from what I've seen so far is that I'm disappointed. I've been playing SR since 1st edition and this is already looking like the worst thing to happen to us old timers yet. To be honest, I'm still ticked off about 3rd edition changes as it is. frown.gif

To be honest, I doubt I will buy the 4th edition book, but I havn't made up my mind yet. As a GM, I do have to keep up with what is canon. But why should I support a company that doesn't support me? frown.gif

I can't even begin to imagine the headache converting 3rd edition characters to 4th edition will be. Goddess knows it was a total nightmare going from 2nd to 3rd. eek.gif

Just because you decide to come out with a new edition doesn't mean that you have to completely change everything. ohplease.gif

There are arguments on both sides of that issue, specifically pertaining to SR4. I am reserving judgement.

I'll probably continue to purchase every Shadowrun book printed, just to keep up with the setting, if nothing else.

Eh, I might convert over to Savage Worlds. If SR's going simple and streamlined ya might as well; those rules are actually really good for streamlined and simple, and are a hell of a lot more flexible than the stuff I'm seeing indicated from the SR4 playtesters currently.

Maybe I'll buy a sourcebook or something later on for inspiration when making the conversion, but SW is so easy to create for it's not going to be hard. Plus a lot cheaper than SR.
