I've got no problem with your style, Sphynx, I think your posts are well thought and well written. I can see where it might have been possible to have handled the situation differently assuming that Miho appeared on Grendel's sensors, but in all honesty if he had detected someone attempting to stealth their way into the hangar under cover of rutheniums he would have assumed it was a hostile intent on compromising the team and dealt with the perceived threat directly. Also, I did feel that it would be changing a little bit of the spirit of your post had I written it that way. In the end, I think it was handled as well as it could have been.

However, I do have to complain about how Shadow reacted. For one, I "said" boo! to grendel, I didn't shout it, it didn't echo through the hangar. I'm a silent 16 year old japaneese girl who even if she did shout would sound more like a bird chirping. A player changing my posted action is the lack of etiquette. |
Listen Spyhnx, I didn't mean to offend you, for that I am sorry. Raven is a pro, and you were playing your character, I was playing mine. I felt that you took a lot of liberties by just assuming you would have been able to sneak up and into the hanger.
For one Hangers often only have one or two entrances. Grendel had deployed a sensor net and had two npc guards. You just assumed you would be able to sneak by them and didn't give anyone a chance to spot you. You just wrote that you did. That's poor etiquette. And it rubs me the wrong way. I think what you were trying to do was cool, just how you did it was wrong. If this were a table top game I am sure it would have gone much smoother, since in table top you can never 'just do things'. You have to clear it with the GM first. You should never take liberties with other peoples characters. You shouldn't put words in there mouth or tell them how they act in your post. Just like you shouldn't post that you do something (like sneaking up on someone) and assume you would succeed.
Does that make any sense? I don't want to argue, I just want you to see my POV (even if you don't agree with it.)
So I say we all let it go and move on with what could be a great game.

FYI: I just got informed that I'm "on site" tomorrow, so may not have access, since the site is located 500+ kilometers away, and I may have to stay over. I should be able to post Saturday.
And Shadow, it wasn't poor etiquette. It just isn't your etiquette.

Everything your character said I understood, but I've got no clue how the rules go about that stuff. My best guest would have been a computer (maybe programming) test, maybe with some sort of plus or minus depending on the information Grendel gives Leblanc (I'd say a bunch of plus since he's got very precise stuff... but hey, I'm not the GM around here

It's actually a very local alcohol made in Québec. It consist in a mixed brewed of mapple syrup based booze, hydromel and canadian whisky. If I'm not mistaken, its about 32%, hits like a tone of bricks and has a very smoked ( a bit like some scotch) and sweet taste. Its great

Chris gets the flight plan fixed and keeps the plain under the radar (with the help of the spirit). I'll bump you all to Texas tomorrow.
As for the data package, basicly you have a full history of Dr Martin, her husband, their daughter and the daughters bodyguard. I'm still working out all the details, but I'm in no mood to work on things right now, so it'll have to wait.

You do it right from the plane, SatLinks are cool like that. Go ahead and make your own post for the decking run, the roll was just to see if it was successful, your post can be light or as full of fluff as you want it to be (and knowing you, I'll be able to make a bed out of the fluff).
Once Juan has his post for the decking done, Grendel can make his post for landing in Corpus Christi. Wraith will be waiting there for you.

I'm working a small shift today, from 12 to 6 (eastern time), so I won't have my fluffy post done before 7 or so. So if you guys want to bump ahead, go for it, I really don't mind. I was simply bored and looking for something to do yesterday.

Apologies for the late reply. Rigger 3, p. 38:
If desired, an intruder may create a more convincing computer-generated bogus object before making his intrusion attempt (or may have someone else do it). Generating the appropriate image takes a base time of 1D6+1 hours. The image crafter makes a Computer (Programming) (4) Test. The successes achieved are applied as a target number modifier to any Perception Tests made by the targeted rigger to spot the false image as bogus.
