Maybe they're selling fake LEs?

Doubt that, as basically the only LGS for a fair distance, they cannot afford a hit in rep. the area just doesn't take to such things.

I much prefer this cover to the regular edition. I would say the quality is on par with a WotC book so far. Good paper and nice cover quality. Now if I can keep the kids from chewing on it...

By the way: I really prefer the paper and the green colour used for the German version of the book. The paper is a bit heavier and not that "shiny". It seems to be more resilient. The green does not look like someone puked on the book.

But the german version seems to be crappy, afaik: lacking the index, having some miss-prints and an overall bad spelling & grammar. So i prefer the english version and will maybe buy the 2nd printing of the german version.

Right! The index is missing for some reason. I did not find any missprints. The spelling and grammar are not perfect.

Is the quality of the LE better than the normal book? I hope so, because I find the quality of the normal book pretty craptacular.

I finally managed to get my hands on a SR 4 book. I was lucky that the shop I go to kept one for me.

As a side note, it seems that Fanpro is not the only Roleplaying Game company with printer problems.
ICE seems to have delays from the printer too.

My LE arrived this weekend. 665 of 1000 (almost the beast, but not quite).
Ordered it from Noble Knigth, and it arrived in perfect shape.
Just wanted to share the joy.

I'm expecting mine in a week or less at this point.

I was trying to hold out and wait for the second printing (so as to have at least some built-in errata), but this past Friday I went ahead and bought my hardcopy. For those NW Atlanta people, I got one out of the last two from Titan Games.

They said their order came with all of one LE, and it evaporated quickly.

I'm hoping they'll print a one-year anniversary edition so I can have a snazzy black leather copy with even more integrated errata. Here's to pipe dreams!
