Hmmm...Lord of the Rings without mount doom. Oh and you weren't kidding when you said,

Well, in all honesty, that statement still stands.

I thought Lord of the Rings as well. And call my idea crazy, but it might just work, depending on the type of caves. If they are typicla hollywood caves, then I imagine it would work well enough. And it is said hollywood caves that Sebastian would be imagining anyways.

Kiedo, two small things -
1) Anything on my perception test at bottom of p. 14?
2) Any real, functional fishing gear on the boat, or is it all just for show. If there is, what sort of test should I make to catch a few live fish? I was thinking Survival would be applicable....

1. I was going to work that into my next post but I'll go ahead and just give it to you.
The ring is plain black, no visible markings on it at all.
2. No, it's all just for show, picked up from the trash at the docks.

I'm a whee bit confused, maybe because I'm not fully awake yet but... Was Raven saying he's already made all the arangements as in we'll have the suggested bikes that Sebastian suggested or was that comment for something else?

I be a wee bit sleepy also, but I am still confused at the same thing.

I think that's what he meant.... but not 100% positive. Anyway, I just wanted to re-iterate, what has been said earlier, cause the more I think about it the more it's true.
THIS GAME ROCKS!

Yes, Raven has already done the leg work and there will be five bikes waiting when you arrive at your drop point.

Thank you, I've put alot of time and effort into crafting the story, which is still just unrolling, and I was hoping this would be enjoyed.

Dude, trust me when I second the motion that it is being enjoyed. Hell, I may be enjoying it too much - I'll admit I check for new posts way too often and spend way too much time stressing when a few slow days go by.
This story is really good, and well narrated. With great players. And besides your saying so, I can simply FEEL that things are just getting warmed up.
Thank you.

Okay, pardon my noob-ness, but what does "bump" mean?
Also, Cogar and DV - are Gore and Seb up with us in the galley, still in the hold, somewhere else....?

bump just means a post to make the thread move to the top of the list..... thus a bump

if you want to get techincal, it's actually an acronym.
Bring Up My Post
But yeah, it's just a way for you to either keep certain posts together, or get a post that has fallen into second page hell (a place that exists in all Forums), back to were lazy people who don't look at the second page can see it. And in the case of DS, keep it from getting pushed into page three, which if memory serves doesn't exist.

Sorry for the delay Rokur.
By the way, not to split hairs but Raven did say they had a hardline connected to a satelite, and no wireless network onboard, and I don't remember you ever going to the comm room, but as I said, I'm not going to split hairs.
Since you have sooooooooo many search queries, I'm not going to do my usual computer output looking results.
History of the mark - unavailable.
History of the Artifacts - exactly what has been revealed up until this point.
Construction - extensive, no real specifics, due to lack of reliable communication
Actually I've got some bad news. Your agent was able to relay the data concerning the target, artifacts, and construction back, but during the probing of the military node, it was detected, engaged, and destroyed.
Since the radio room is the only place on the ship that has matrix access, and then it's a hard line connected to a satellite uplink, unless you were spending the nine hours it took to find that information in the room, you would not know about that until you log back in to retrieve your results.
Because I'm not one to put my players in any situations that would make them unhappy, because the entire point of roleplaying is to have fun, though I do not particularly care for agents (though irnonically IRL, I, in my spare time, work on writing bot programs to automate various fuctions I do regularly), I am going to assume that you had a backup copy on your commlink of your agent program, since the BBB allows for this. Which means all your going to have to do is spend a little time, perhaps about an hour, reconfiguring the agent (loading programs, situational instructions, ect.)

what I had done... was for probing the target was ME doing the hacking... so if there was IC that detected my hacking on my try wouldn't it be ME that would be involved in some matrix combat then?
The agent was not involved in anything but doing datasearches, once I got admin access I would have HIM do the datasearches while I was still in the host node playing defence. As long as he was done with the regular datasearches beforehand. he was programmed to run for about 1 hour of datasearches on the matrix for all the general info first. Then I suppose he would go on standby while I was still probing the target...
Oh and with signal ratings, I'm sure there's a way that I could have went full VR broadcasting out of my head, and then bouncing my own signal off of other boats, and coast guard into wherever I was heading... With a signal rating 5, I can transmit over 4 kilometers... If you wanna say I "lose connection" during the middle somwhere if there are not enough boats or other things to bounce my signal off of it.. that's cool too...
PS - 9 hours!? how'd you count 9 hours? Was the firewall more than an 11!? cuz if the firewall was an 11 (and that's high) than it would've taken me 6 hours to get in.... If I couldn't get in after 6 hours, I'm not gonna hack no more! That's airtight! And then when we're in the node, I sent the agent in for datasearches for...2 minutes. 2 minutes and we're out. was hopefully menat to be quick clean and easy.
