Theme tunes for characters in my campaign:
Nitro - Human Decker / Samurai. Extremely hyper character with non-stop energy and the patience of a mayfly:
A Little Less Conversation (Little More Action Please) by JXL & Elvis.
K.G. (Human Frog Shaman). Well padded Fixer with quickened Levitate and a natty line in check waistcoasts. Think Baron Harkonnen meets Terry Thomas.
All Stand Together by Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus (sorry - it's just that Bom-Bom-BOM, ah-a-ah! that fits so well).
OMFWOG a.k.a Often Mistaken For Wrath of God, Troll demolitions expert and general show stopper.
Bombtrack by Rage Against the Machine
or Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck by Prong
Any given go gang you care to name:
Moto Psycho by Megadeth
More if I think of them.

Honestly, the only character of mine who has something akin to a theme song is Franklin Frakes, bastard son of Julius Frakes. His would be 'School of Hard Knocks' by POD, which somewhat inspired me while creating the character.

"Flight of the Valkyries." Oldie but goldie. |
....you mean Ride of the Valkyries from Die Walkure by Richard Wagner I presume.
Actually one of the more appropriate classical themes for Shadowrun.
There is also a kick butt version recorded on the massive organ at St John the Divine Cathedral in New York.

India's theme song is Juliet's Ride the pain. SHe is a an urban mage, voodoo style with a Russian twist. I will list the lyrics and I hope you can gras the character's view on life. It is rather harsh.
Repeat and rewind
I'm not going there this time
If I could make a plan
I wouldn't go there again
Hold it up, let it out
Life won't ever stop it's time
Give it up, fight it out
Leave the white flag behind
Ride the pain into the pleasure
(Pain, pleasure)
Don't stop now with the pressure
(Pleasure, pain)
Can't explain with an answer
(Pain, pleasure)
Ride the pain into the pleasure
(Pleasure, pain)
Catch me if you can
Chase me if you'd like
I don't know about you
But I'm a do or die
I haven't seen or heard enough 'til I've looked under every rock (x3)
Ride the pain into the pleasure
(Pain, pleasure)
Don't stop now with the pressure
(Pleasure, pain)
Can't explain with an answer
(Ride the pain into the pleasure)
Ride the pain into the pleasure
(Ride the pain)
Into the pleasure
You'll find your answer
Into the pleasure
You'll find your answer
Into the pleasure
You'll find your answer
Into the pleasure
I haven't seen or heard enough 'til I've looked under every rock (x3)
Ride the pain into the pleasure
(Pain, pleasure)
Don't stop now with the pressure
(Pleasure, pain)
Can't explain with an answer
(Pain, pleasure)
Ride the pain into the pleasure
(Ride the pain into the pleasure)
Can't explain with an answer
(Ride the pain into the pleasure)
Can't explain with an answer
(Into the pleasure)

Well, if you are going to go that far, why don't you go further? You sum it up as unispiring and I think that is odd, comepared to the pop corn songs some people chose.

James isn't insulting you specifically, Cynic: he's insulting us all, just the way he always does.
It's all because he's a big old Grumpy Gus! Aw, he needs a nap, doesn't him?

EDIT: Read James' post again, and you will see that the "it" in "one might sum it up" refers to the thread as a whole. I hope that's clear.

For Al in Extradition, the song was actually the inspiration for the character - Tom Waits "Goin' Out West" from Bone Machine.
For Asp from Kingmaker, Billie Holiday and the Ray Ellis Orchestra's Lady in Satin, the whole album.

Ankle Biter's Theme song is definitley "Ride of the Valkyries" his Steely Lynxs, and Van have bigass speakers specifically for that reason. He plays it whenever the run breaks cover, and "goes hot" |
I too like napalm in the morning.
What about some professional murder music?
a little techno metal fits the era nicely. would recommend slow by professional murder music.

Showing my age, but the best theme song for any of my SR chars has to be Al Stewart's "Running Man."
Before the phone hits the receiver
You're halfway to the door
The voice said 'get out while you can,
There's just ten minutes, nothing more'
Time only for the essentials
Better gather them and run
The false name inside the passport,
The gold bars and the gun
And once again they've come out of the past
And though your mind is cool your heart is beating fast
You've been through it all before
Each time you wish a little more that you could ask
What do you want from me?
What do you need from me?
There's no rest for the running man
Why can't you let him be?'
