Yeah. Good lord. That was his real name?

Just check out his posts from his name. He hasn't posted much here lately though.
He had a lot of pretty detailed ideas about spirits that he posted, which I assume are what made it in in some form. Some were better than others, but he had a lot of ideas and a real wonk for spirits. I bet it was some of his insect and maybe some voodoo concepts of his made it in. I think he even submitted, or was considering submitting a proposal for work as a freelancer on the book. So it is possible that he even wrote one or more full sections in the book.

Bad luck flaw.

Well if he's been credited like that, it probably means he did write whole sections if not a whole chapter (or more).

Looks pretty frickin' sweet to me. Exactly the stuff I was hoping to see, especially the threats. I can't wait to revive my campaign (on hold for a couple months now).

Frank Trollman is indeed the Dumpshock poster of the same name. His writing and many of his ideas do indeed figure significantly in the Spirits chapter (though, as I'm sure he'd note, not all his ideas made it or went through development unchanged).

Just a note, "Frank Trollman" may not be his real name, even if that's his writing credit. I know I was credited as just "Bull" once or twice.
However, I've seen wierder names.

Yeah, but those were in acknowledgements, weren't they?

I was just "Bull" in MITS and Cannon Companion for playtesting, and I could have been just Bull in YotC and Dragons of the 6th World if I'd have asked, but decided I wanted to use my full name (Steven Ratkovich, in case anyone was wondering) for actual Writing and Development credits. All my other creidts have usually had Steven "Bull" Ratkovich.
If Frank asked, he likely could have gotten credited with his nickname instead of real name. Some poeple online are just wierd about "real names".

Best to ask him directly to be sure, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere here back in the old, old posts in the archives here from another poster that knows him in person saying that 'Trollman' is his real last name. If you check online phonebooks, at least in the couple southern states I did, it is indeed a real last name. Interestingly nobody in Canada has that surname listed for a phone.

I'm pretty sure that's his real name too, since I ran into a guy who knows him personally at my FLGS (I mentioned that I work on Shadowrun, and the guy said something about gaming with Frank Trollman.) Haven't met him yet, though.
