Er, We in the military surplus buisness prefer the term "Slightly Used."

Agreed. My euphamism filter wasn't working at the time.

What kept the grenade attached to the Sammie's chest after the pin was removed and the spoon sprung?

Because...
"Theres no reason to buy a tactical vest when you have duct tape!"
I asked "how would that work?" to which they replied "just duct tape the body of the grenade to the vest duh"

That is seven kinds of awesome.

Yeah, that detail really should have been included at the first, to spill out all the comedy at once.
Duct tape. Grenades. What could go wrong?

I've taped SMOKE grenades to my characters before, but taping the other kind seems like a bad idea.

that' s what vests w/ combat webbing are for. Handy dandy little pockets. snap on even!

Even a smoke grenade is kinda risky. Those suckers can get pretty hot. You probably wouldn't be killed, but a burnt hole in your jacket and bubbling flesh is never fun.

I´d also imagine thats rather close for continued breathing if you don´t keep moving, but I´ve got no real-world experience in that regard.
What was the purpose of said grenade-tapeing? Leaving a smoketrail?

Nah, look over it again. Tape negates the need for a tactical vest.

I think that we should have some kind of stickied thread that's just a collection of ways to have GMs make bad things happen to the players.

My players are creative enough on their own, thank you.
Last sunday a neurostun grenade was used inside a building without noticeable air circulation. Distance to team = 3m. Number of rebreathers = 1. Number of stunned PCs = 1 (only by luck, the others were still figuring out how to get upstairs and into the action).

Why, so people could constantly raid the thread to point out how they're an idiot, and how they would have done it so much better, and their way is the True Way of Shadowrun?
Nah.

Quite the contrary, I find that if the PCs don't do something stupid each run than it's no longer Shadowrun.
