Fort's arrival will depend on pragma. I told him earlier that his rope-run could be a gimmie, so I don't know if he was planning on ICing it. But I will ask him if he wants to show up for your little meet & greet.
So, you can either launch into a preemptive first strike, or you can use that next IC post to try to talk more and hope Fort arrives. Guess whether he's coming or not is best left a mystery for now...
At such time as you do try a preemptive strike (assuming they don't beat you to it), IC your launch into action. Then I will ask you to make a surprise roll, basing mods on what you ICed.

I told you the rope-run was a gimmie, but were you planning on ICing it? Basically, the open question right now is whether Fort walks in to the little party that Sledge appears to be cooking up with the gangers. If you'd like your rope-run to coincide with that - let me know in a spoiler with any details you'd like. Might as well leave Dire in suspense about whether you'll be arriving, and also that way I can decide on your exact time of arrival to maximize your dramatic entrance.

Hey wiki people there are some kool new things you can do on wiki spaces, check em out.
https://www.wikispaces.com/changesI think the best thing is the TEMPLATES!! Make a template page and then you can use it to make new pages, like character sheets or maps or whatever.
The variable thing looks like it could be useful to for nerdy reasons. No more stepping on each others toes by editing over each other. Now if two people are trying to edit or look at a page they will know..
I also posted this in the general discussion board if you wanna talk about this stuff over there.

All right - the long and the short of it is that he does attack you with the knife, but you totally parry. His five buddies ready a collection of chains, pipes and knives, but do not move in.
You attack, but he avoids your attack as well.
I assumed you would use your reach bonus defensively during the pass you defended and offensively in the pass you attacked. Let me know if that is not true.
As long as you are fighting with your back to the (sec system-armed) van you are at a -1 or -2 penalty for all that you do. It fluctuates, so just roll and I'll take off dice.
You are free to IC or wait for a more substantive resolution.
If you do IC, as you know the time should be 42:13.

pragma [ Spoiler ]
Okay, as you run through the lobby in response to the sounds of a fight near the van, you ask the spirit (which seems to be doing a poor job of concealing the vehicle - I sort of owe you one on this cuz I keep forgetting that people aren't supposed to notice it...I will try to do better, and the next tough call that comes up, remind me I owe you) what is happening and it tells you Sledge is fighting six gangers.
So you arrive at the entrance to Hotel Hell (about ten meters to the flank of the ganger circle) just at 42:13, in time to declare actions and make any rolls you want for the next combat turn.
You can see that the spirit exaggerated some - Sledge is currently only fighting one ganger, but five more look poised to move in.
DireSledge sees a giant snake demon come out of the hotel, flaming shotgun in hand.
Need declarations and rolls.

If Fort things that the he being referred to is himself (ie, if Sledge shouted at the ganger) he'll immediately drop the mask.

If the latter is the case, the same conditions as earlier apply for dropping the mask.

3rd Combat Turn Resolution
Deputy drives a weaving knife attack under Sledge's guard and she narrowly pulls her head away from a face slash. Not quite far enough, though, hampered as she is by the inability to retreat backwards. The ganger's blade draws a line of red across her cheek (not enough to cause a game-terms wound, but lets her know he's closing in.
The snake demon shouts "Hey Posse" in an obvious bid to distract him. He does spare a glance that way, but still easily ducks a sledge hammer swing.
He then does a double-take, however (SNAKE DEMON!?), and back pedals away from the fight far enough to risk a 360 spin to see that his fellows have fled and be in a position where both the ork and and the snake are in his field of vision.
Dunno what he'll do next, but at the top of your list of rolls to make, Dire, is your free interception attack.
After that it's business as usual, although if you want to keep fighting him you'll have to close about three meters distance (unless your intercept hit him, in which case he never gets to look around).
Also, Dire, you've fought him enough to know that he only gets one pass, so no need to keep rolling those second-pass defensive rolls; I'm only using the attack roll.
