Well, it's both in a way.

Of course, it means that much traffic runs through the same node, or that the infrastructure cannot handle the traffic, thus making it slow. But the explanation for it is, for example, that some relays are not working properly, which I could see in a not-so-well-maintained neighborhood.

Essentially it is just the Poor Matrix Access (Response is lowered by two, IIRC).



I was thinking about something like that, but considering it is kinda in the Neighborhood rating already, and that the Security rating is pretty decent, that implies some arrangements with the local ruffians. Besides, we prefer to be in good standing with our rough neighbors, I believe.

I'll divest myself of the obvious LS gear for the meet, including the armored jacket.

I don't have a problem adding the active skill Etiquette, but what would it be, Etiquette Shadowrunners? Street etiquette? That would leave me 5 karma to save for next advancement.

How much should I budge extra to have better access to clubs and so forth? I don't need home entertainment, Cynic isn't the kind of person who spends a lot of time watching trid by himself. Maybe another 250 per month?

In fourth addition, you buy the etiquette skill and can specialize in types of etiquette, but don't need to. This is one of the areas that I hate about 4th vs 3rd, so I pretty much look to your knowledge skills to adjust threshholds and access penalties for etiquette checks.

over the next few weeks Zion will be seeking to improve his arsenal a little with trying to acquire a Ares Alpha or a shotgun. If not possible to get those Zion want to obtain some explosive rounds to refill his already used clip of Ex-explosive clip. He would also like to get his hands on a ArmTech MGL-12 to deal with pesky vehicles that he might run into while on his travels.

Deep in the Barrens is a run down warehouse, looking like every other unsafe building in the area. Inside, an area 80'x40' has been refurbished and the structure shored up, yielding an open area measuring 65'x40' plus 4 - 15'x10' basic rooms; Three bedrooms and a bathroom/utility room. Furniture is cheap, but serviceable. Matrix connections are non-existent. Power comes from an illegal tap and water has to be brought it. Inner doors are security rated doors and a large dog lives on the lot. Security is provided by the incumbent local gang.

As for the cracking, I wasn't quite sure if there are any other dice bonuses possible (i.e. hot VR), so I just used the basic dice pool. But I guess you need all the dice you can get to beat that one.

Where is that 19 coming from, BTW? I only found 10-20 for threshold (in the SR4 book), but figured for a R6 it will be closer to 20 than to 10, anyways.

sorry about not posting additional info. I will at some point stop by the HQ and get an idea for setting up wards around the place. It I can't ward the top of the area, effectively sealing the HQ from astral intrusion then I may well not bother. This is not a priority but I will do that eventually. Otherwise I'm relatively low maintenance. Cynic can just go crash and read some texts on magical theory and summoning stuff that Fallen suggested to him at the HQ.

F5 Ward covering up to 250 cubic meters for 2 weeks. Problem is that the refurbished area of the hanger is closer to 1400 cubic meters. The living space alone is about just over 200 cubic meters. That would be perfect and provide clear delineation of the warded.
