No vision mods.
Attacker's partial cover +2.
No recoil mods.
No movement mods.
Aim for a simple action -1.
Smartlink II -2.
Final target number: 3
5, 4, 4, 2, 1, 1

Note: I will be out of town from today until Monday night, Aug 15. Internet access will be spotty but I'll do my best to stay in touch.
Slip and Scrap- go ahead and bump to waking up at 7, nothing will happen before then. I'll try to write Iris's response and PM it to one of you so you can at least have it and put it up while i'm gone. If there's anything specific you REALLY want to make sure I cover, post it OOC in a spoiler or PM me and I'll try to include it.
Sedna- Let me know as well if there's anything you really need to know from me at this point and I'll try to get it to you before I leave.
Paul- Same for you, but you'll be gone tomorrow anyway, so we overlap a bit.
ASVW people- Ronin and Bandit can call me, so if you need something ASAP, have them get in touch with me.

The next step is to check out the trucks and confirm supplies and plans, WinterRat -- and we've already discussed that OOC so paul and I should be clear for now.
After that,
Alleycat's going to be very busy for a while again on self-directed things, so there'll be tonnes of things to do before I need to pull you actively back in later that same day

TN to Dodge is 5 (4 base, +1 for one burst), right? If so:
[ Spoiler ]
Rolling 6 combat pool: 4,5,5,5,5,1
If not, I'll roll to soak.
How many actions do I have in this round (I think I delayed earlier at 14)
Slipshade
Aug 11 2005, 03:51 PM
WinterRat1 - The main thing we are waiting on is the information that Iris has, so if you could PM that to Scrapheap or myself that would be great. Probably best to PM it to Scrap, he seems to have a little more time to post than I do at the moment or you could just PM the info to both of us and we can figure out how best to drop the information in the IC thread.
Most of the things I have planned may change or be made obsolete by what Iris pulled out of the system so I will talk with Scrap via PM or OOC thread about how we want to proceed from there. That way we will be ready to go again on Monday.

Four successes will dodge the burst. You've got one action left this round, your delayed action doesn't carry over initiative passes. Once you act, it'll be time for initiative again.

Nice. Continuing to walk north along the pillar, simple action to drop the AR, quickdraw to fire a shot.
[ Spoiler ]
Quickdraw test: 1, 8, 4, 4, 4.
+1 for movement (walking), +2 for partial cover on my part, not sure about vision or cover mods for the Red team.
Using last of combat pool with pistols skill:
4, 3, 1, 17, 1, 3, 4, 10
Initative for next round is, again, 14.

Tony sees Red Force Two and Red Force Three appear from cover heading west. Red Force Two is wounded, while Red Force Three is covering their retreat with his submachinegun. Red Force One fires again on 17, two three round bursts.
Short range, target number 4.
No vision mods.
Light wound +1.
Partial Cover +2.
No movement mods.
Smartlink II -2.
Final TN 5 (6 for second burst).
First burst: 10, 7, 4, 4, 3, 3, 2, 1, 1
Second burst: 14, 11, 10, 7, 5, 4, 3, 3, 1
Damage is 8S (stun).

Ok, rolling to soak; Ballistic Armor (adjusted) is 5, Impact 2, depending on Three's ammo.
First Burst: 3,2,5,3,5
Second Burst (w/3 CP): 2, 7, 2, 4, 9, 3, 5, 8
I think Tony is going beddie-by, if not, he's moving for cover unless he's in melee range.
grendel
Aug 12 2005, 07:53 PM
You're looking for 6's to soak, with no successes on that first burst you're going to take a deadly stun. You can spend some karma to roll again if you want.

Sedna- All right, you're clear then, let me know when you need something from me.
Slip, Scrap- I took the liberty of writing the post, hope I didn't overshoot you guys. I figured you'd both wake up and go to the discussion part anyway, so I just jumped there. Let me know if there's a need to backtrack or anything.
ASVW- Ronin and Bandit, feel free to NPC and lead Dragon as necessary, I tried to generally give everyone something to respond to.

Pain resistance would work in this case, unfortunately you're taking two serious stuns, which leaves you at the same level Marquis is at: two light physical wounds. I need both of you to roll body or willpower, whichever is higher, against a TN of 6.

GENERAL QUESTION:
Has any player character died yet on Lits? When that does happen when(its inevitable when the GMs are using Blimps of Doom) a character is killed? Can the player create a new character and start again? Do they have to wait a certain time before resumbitting?
I'm wondering about a few other issues, if a character opts for cybersurgery which will put him out of action for say a month or two what happens? At the speed which we're advancing the threads not playing for a month or two in Lits time would probably equate to like not posting for a year in real time, so what happens? Same with being arrested, if you're arrested by Lone Star you're out of circulation for at least six months of Lits time, so what happens then?
As I'm watching the threads I keep wondering about that? What would happen if Tony or Marquis had been picked up by Sea-Tac security while they were unconscious for half an hour? Are the character's considered dead or do they have to try and escape or what?
I was just curious.
Sedna
Aug 16 2005, 02:56 PM
Fortunately we did cover that in the
Guidelines. Check out the section "Character Death".
As to time out: well, there's others who've already opted for long-term projects. There's no fast-forwarding: time's a constant trade-off against toys.
As to arrest: I'd say it's up to you. Do you hang onto the character and bite the bullet re time; or do you abandon that PC to NPC-hood, and create a new one? Only if you abandon, the karma rule probably won't be as generous ...
(That last is my opinion only: it's been brought up in the GM e-mail discussions, but hasn't yet been finalised.)

Slip/WR1-
At the end of the last post John says that they should check out the address, but that he'd like Iris to look into the name and address to see what she can dig up. That is, if she's willing.
Sorry if that was unclear.
And yes, at least later in the day we will have to split up. John has a meet at noon, and I think Max has one at some point?

Max doesn't have anything set up yet, though he is supposed to leave on a job Wednesday morning. Though the way things are going, he may not make it. He just needs to call a large number of people, but he can do that on the way to check out the Wongs or when he stops off on the way home to pick up a change of clothes and check messages. I am thinking he is going to call a cab as they do still service Touristville. It will give him an alibi if anyone comes looking. He can say he was at The Respite all night helping with repairs. Taking a cab from the Respite will give some validity to the story.

Sure (Tony doesn't know he's only light injured and knocked out, just checking him out).
Rating on the medkit: 3 (if the medkit can do it for me, here's some rolls: 1, 1, 1). I think it diagnoses him as SURGED with that roll.
Defaulting (Intel?) if I can't use the Medkit: 4, 2, 1, 2, 4

So with no successes on your default roll and a botch on the medkit's complementary dice, it looks like you're going to end up doing more harm than good. Probably best to leave well enough alone.
