Just got back from a STOMP! concert. It was awesome! The wife and I loved it. Well worth going to see if you get the chance.
On to business. With Fist out to boot camp - or the Navy equivalent of it - I will be playing Daylin for a bit. We have missed a few days with people moving around so what do we need right now?

Nice to see you back. Summary by yers truly.
Prolly just a couple of knowledge rolls from me and fist, to see if we can find any kind of access to the station. Then I think Ophis and Sinn were looking for a slicer. But I'm not exactly sure where/when they are.
Other than that can't think of anything.
Also I'm not 100% clear on how character advancement works in Star Wars. Would you mind running through it with me?

Let's go ahead and have you roll Knowledge or Perception - your choice - for the plans.
As far as advancement goes, here is the short version. (Do you have the books? I can't remember.)
If you want to raise a skill by one pip (+1) the CP cost is the current D value.
e.g. Raise blasters from 3D + 2 to 4D = 3 CP.
If you want to raise a specialization by one pip (+1), the CP cost is 1/2 (round up) the current D value.
e.g. Raise Pliot: X-wing from 4D+1 to 4D + 2 = 2 CP.
You can also raise your movement on a 1 meter / 1 CP basis; however, we really haven't worried about speed and I don't think we will - for a while yet anyway.
If you want to raise an attribute it is really expensive (10*D) so I would recommend against it right now.
I have basically thrown out the training time requirements but may ask for something if it makes sense.

I just have the quick start whcih covers the basics of chargen and such. Some of the advanced mechanics elude me but I'm slowly picking everything up. Pray don't worry abut lil' old me sirrah. Let us continue our odessy!
Perception will do, rolling:
4d6+2=14 Not bad.

@Meriss
I crashed out last night, long weekend and all. Work is a little on the crazy side right now. I am about 40% complete with a project and have already spent 55% of the allotted time. We'll see if we can catch up or if we will bleed over into next week. Thankfully, there is space for that sort of thing.
On to the game. A 14 is quite respectable. Since Fisty isn't around to run Daylin and the other two seem MIA ATM, here goes:
The kitchens are connected by various tunnels to the waste processing area which bundles the garbage before ejecting it into space on a course with the sun. The kitchens have automated drones that move scraps to the waste area. It appears that the hangers are also connected to both the kitchens and the waste area through maintenance tunnels. There is an electron note near the waste facility that reads, Waste crew rotates every six days.

Would you like to play fisty's character?
Unless I see hide or hair of Ophis and/or SinN we may be putting this game in the freezer anyway.
Worse case scenario, I will run an SR game for you.
SinN
Jun 22 2008, 01:10 AM
Im still down for doin this game. But if we gotta put it on hold for a time, than im cool with that too. Also, I had another idea for an SR charactor, so If you do run a game for Plan B, Lemme know if I can join, savvy?
ludomastro
Jun 22 2008, 01:17 AM
I savvy. It may be easier to put this one in the deep freezer.
Thoughts from the gallery?

Jun 23 2008, 08:50 PM
If you wanna put this in the freezer till Fist gets back I'm cool with that. And If yer going to run a SR Game I'll bring Clean Charlie out of retirement.
Hey Plan B!
ludomastro
Jun 24 2008, 02:15 AM
Ok, done. This game is going in the freezer until Fist gets back.
Are you all looking for a game to slide in some standard characters or do you want me to post chargen rules? Hopefully, I can get my work laptop to talk to the hotel network cause right now, I am at the public terminal with it's silly time limit.
I'll check back later.
SinN
Jun 25 2008, 08:56 PM
I can either make a new char, or bust an old one out of the vault. Hood, or perhaps maybe Ash? Lucien Kane would be fun
. It really depends on the game. Waddya think Plan B?
Lady Door
Jun 26 2008, 05:58 AM
I'll play Bourbon. Mwahahahahaha... *blink, blink* ... um, what?

Jun 26 2008, 06:32 PM
I believe that he was asking if you wanted to use an old character or create new ones. I don't mind either way so I will defer the question to you. I have some ideas rattling around in my head for a street level game (heavy on the pink mohawks and grit) and one for a corp style game (heavy on the chrome and sleath).
Nevertheless, if you prefer to bring out some friends to play that is fine with me.
Meriss and Ophis, you are welcome to play as well.
Meriss
Jun 26 2008, 10:56 PM
Any idea on rough BP yet Charlie is up to 500, as Plan B was overly generous with teh BP.
SinN
Jun 27 2008, 01:20 AM
Well, Ive had each of those charactors for quite some time. Ash would be my weakest but he can definetley hold his own. I wouldnt suggest hood, way to strong for a street level game, and he doesnt do much corprate work anymore. Street cred of 32. Unless Plan B plays as Morganna or Gemini. Lucien Kane is my former charactor Sin, now turned Blood spirit of Man Force 9. And Ash is my hacker/rigger/Face Orc. SO If I had to choose an old charactor, Id go with Ash to even the playing feild.

Jun 27 2008, 04:51 AM
Ok, to answer a few questions.
Roughly, I was thinking 350 to 375 BP for the street game with slightly lower starting limits on skills (one at 5 or two at 4).
The corp game would be 400 BP but most of the gear would be covered by the corp.
Either way, I have some TM rules that help ... I think. I've never had the chance to playtest them.
Let me see some solid votes though: old versus new and game style. I get the feeling that the older characters would be harder for me, only because I don't know them. However, I can work with it. Just let me know.
Meriss
Jun 27 2008, 08:53 PM
I suppose I could trim Charlie down to 375, or 400. Either one would be fine by me. Though Charlie might fit better in a street level game.
SinN
Jun 27 2008, 08:58 PM
Then Hood And Lucius are defintely out. Way too much back story. Ash doesnt have much goin on, hes been laying low becuase he was involved in a job that ended in successfully killing a certain world-famous scientist who liked to take childrens brains and put them in computers, shhh.....
But thats pretty much all hes done big. But hes a bit higher then 400 BP. Id be more than happy to make a new charactor though. I had two concepts in mind, one was a hacker/rigger/mechanic Minitour named Torque. And the other was a 12 year old elf mage prodigy named Jester. Follows the trickster ally spirit. That one should be fun....
ludomastro
Jun 27 2008, 09:47 PM
Ok, then lets do this. We shall assume modified characters with less than the BP limits that I set AND without so much backstory that my head spins in place. OR, new characters.
Now, I need a vote on street or corporate.
I'm leaning street but still have some good ideas for corporate as well.
SinN
Jun 28 2008, 01:30 AM
Torqu qould do corprate, Jester would go street. Im leanin toward creating Jester so my vote is for street.
ludomastro
Jul 1 2008, 04:25 AM
I will assume that silence is either consent or "I don't care". Therefore, street level it is.
In order not to completely overgrow this thread, I have created a new thread for the new game.
It can be found
