Shadow
Ok guys, when we move in, I can use one mountain spirit to conceal us, and the other to grant us movement, so we will move very fast. Once in the compound, I can sumon the Rock Gnome (so bad) and have him start trashing stuff. I will use the other 2 spirits to assist in spell defense of the party, while the other to shamanic adepts kick trash and take names.

Sound good?
moosegod
You notice that there is something...odd.... about the manasphere about and under the site. Probably just be a high background count from the battle.

Sounds good, just one question:

Are we approaching from the north or south?
moosegod
The ravine is to the south.
moosegod
Anyways- work this in how you want

The windows are all darkened and/or mirrored so that you cannot get a clear look inside of the building. All the notes given to you buy the commander seem up to date.
Shadow
We need to approach from the north, the ravine is just to obvious of an entry point, they WILL have it guarded. Besides with all the ruthyium, and spirits, we should not have a problem.
Grey
Good point Shadow (but you should bring it up IC wink.gif).
Grey
Perception check for analyzing the gun turret: 05 05 08 03 04
moosegod
Definately a Panther.
Grey
Ok, while I wait to see if anyone else has ideas, I'm going to use actions to Aim until the target number is 2.
Ol' Scratch
So any details on my scouting and Perception Tests beyond "knowing that Civil Engineering is of no use?"
moosegod
The building probably dates back to the turn of the century. It is in disrepair, but the structure is still very sound. It looks like it was engineered to a high level of stability.
Ol' Scratch
So that's all I get from aerial recon and a closer look on foot? Is that it looks like a sound structure?
Grey
So there isn't anyone outside of the buildings?
moosegod

Well, anything specific you want?

I said earlier the windows were either mirrored or darkened, making it difficult, if not impossible, to see inside.

And there is no one outside.
Grey

Thats what I was looking for.
Ol' Scratch
QUOTE (moosegod)
Well, anything specific you want?

Possible weak and/or blind spots, good places to plant some bombs to eliminate outside threats, good places for an ambush (both to have one setup against us and one to setup against them), entrance ways, unusual oddities in the astral about the area (such as if I recognize any of those aforementioned manawarps), etc.

You know, basic scouting information. smile.gif
moosegod
Ambush locations- well, it's in sort of a shallow bowl, due to the surrounding hills, so, not much. Mines are unlikely, unless this site has been used before. After all, the smugglers took cover here under pursuit. Mana warp appears to be centered around the west wing of the building, but covering the whole site.
TinkerGnome
Sorry about being slow. I'm around, though, and I'm catching up. All be it slowly.
Digital Heroin
Stealth: 1,2,4,4,5

Perception: 1,3,3,3,4,4,5,8

Electronics (For scanning): 5,9

Methinks I'll need to build that last skill, just a touch...
moosegod
You see what everyone else has seen so far.

Electronics picks up no unexpected communications.
Tanka
Stealth (Defaulting from Quickness): 1, 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 11

Another Perception test, with 5 dice:

1, 5, 5, 10, 11
moosegod
We'll wait a while before I post the results of this.

EVERYONE DESCRIBE THE POSITION YOU TAKE!

The area you've shifted into is sparsely wooded hills, so take that into account, as well as your last orders.
Tanka
Perception (Listening): 1, 1, 1, 3, 3, 4, 5, 11
Perception (Looking): 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 7, 9, 11

I'm sure I don't have to remind you to remember all his eye stuff. I'll post what he does next depending on what those rolls get me.
moosegod
The shattered glass came from the west wing of the building.

Someone has stuck their arm out and is waving a white pair of... underwear? and screaming incoherently.
Tanka
eek.gif

OK... Maybe I shouldn't have looked...

Now how to respond in character...
TinkerGnome
Perception: 01 03 05 10 05 04 [high = 10]
Stealth (hiding/taking cover): 02 07 02 05

Dedicating three dice and three pool to shielding on the NCO and whoever else appears most exposed (ie, at the front end). Not that I think it'll help, but it seems like a good SOP.
HMHVV Hunter
Tinker, who exactly (names) are you cloaking?
TinkerGnome
Hawkwind, Wolfbrother, and Eagle Eyes are the mundanes, so I'll dedicate shielding to them. There isn't a good list of code names and characters, really, so that's my best guess (there should be 3 mundanes, though, which are getting the shielding).
Digital Heroin
*hand up* Windtalker's mundane too...
Tanka
Unless Grey tells me otherwise, I'm Taking Aim at the turret until it does something.
Grey
Perception check: 03 02 04 08

My Aura Reading test (with a whopping 2 dice):

1, 5
Ol' Scratch
Has my character moved close enough to the base to be near the turret?
moosegod

He is in a high emotional state of some sort.

Dr. F-
With what?
Ol' Scratch
Just... nevermind.
Grey
Rolling attack on the turret.

Pull Bows + 6 Combat Pool: 08 02 03 08 01 02 14 02 04 03 21 04

It should be diffeculty 3. 4 standard -1 from smartlink. Thats 8 successes. Base damage is 13S.
Grey
Also rolling Leadership to tell the guy to lay down.

Leadership: 11 04
+2 for Military specialization (if it applies): 02 10
moosegod
QUOTE (Doctor Funkenstein)

Righto then.

Anyways, where were you Sunday?
Ol' Scratch
Hmm, so I guess the fact that Laughing-Snow speaks Spanish fluently isn't going to be any help, either? Just in case, his rolls are:

Spanish: 11 5 2 2
And if he's using an Aztlander dialect, add in: 9 3.
moosegod
No, he was screaming and shouting so much you could barely understand him.

As he cools down, you hear the word Invae said several times. He still is straining at your grip to get away.
TinkerGnome
The medic will take the time to assense him, as well. There'll be a diagnose spell in the guy's future if the NCO orders me to treat him.

Assensing roll: 05 05 05 15 02 02
moosegod
He has some skeletal structure bioware and he is a state of fear and panic.
Grey
But not possessed?
moosegod
Definately not.
Tanka
*wipes brow*

If you were about to throw a Bug Spirit at us or something... Oh man... I'd've sniped him right there.

Especially if it were an Ant Spirit. I hate those things!
moosegod
Oh man...

*rubs hands...*

Someone roll a paranormal animal check...
Tanka
I am so going to stab you.
moosegod
Don't worry, I had already thought of it.

I mean, Invae. C'mon.
