Now I've probably forgotten or missed some but I'm sure some of the other posters can fill in the gaps. *Argus is a weird case in that it's the intelligence arm of MET 2000 that hires itself out so as well as being the main AGS intelligence agency from what I can see it kinda falls under all three categories of national, corporate - private and corporate - free market.

There have been enough mentions of the NRC conducting espionage that if it isn't a part of the UCAS intelligence community, it is at least functional as a potential partner.

I remember seeing someone's fan webpage in which they had the Patent and Trademark office in their shadowrun world have its own enforcement division with guys making raids. I had a good laugh at that, man, that would be funny considering IRL they don't do enforcement, that's up to the patent and trademark owners to enforce their rights. That would really be funny to see, the engineers and scientists with guns, and not just accountants.

You'd have to figure that each state in north america would have something roughly analogous to the above.

ASIS and DSD are the big ones in Australia. DSD also employ information security gurus too. Infact, the way I read their job ads, they employ hackers (short of the long).

ASIO is far more public. The ONA is a bit of a dark horse out here but they're up there too.
